Omri Oliah•
"O"

Another two months had passed. And after many of months of allowing my brother to meet with the Big Five alone and me to handle the behind the scenes things I'm finally having a meeting with them.

And since the moment I sat down five minutes ago I've been met with certain glances. And silence, the silence so evident I'm so unsure what to say. Even Caio and Antoine hadn't spoken a word to me since I sat down. I clear my throat speaking before my brother has a chance to attempt to on my behalf. "I'd like to apologize," I say as I look around the table in my father's home at all of them. "I'm sure you've heard, I have a baby girl on the way. Times before that were rough, I was distracted and I was wrong for that. I assure you it won't happen again."

Nari scoffs and following after that Maximillian speaks up. "Oh I'm sure it won't." he replies smugly.

My face scrunches up in confusion as does my brother. "Meaning what?" We say in unison.

Damerae speaks on behalf of the group. "You've broken an alliance, you and your brother swore we were family yet you didn't come speak to us about this. You blind sided us, you didn't do your fair share meanwhile we did ours. We did our job, we protected your wife and look where it got you, a healthy baby. But what do we have?" He questions.

"You can't be serious. What do you mean he's broken the alliance? We're a team. I've been here picking up where he left off. Your allegiance is with the Oliah's-"

"My families allegiance is with Omri and Omiro Oliah," Nari speaks up finally cutting my brother off. "If we wanted you to pick up his slack we would've made the allegiance with you instead. Now we're reconsidering it all, by tonight the protection might be lifted."

My jaw clenches and I attempt to stand up and step to her but Miro places his hand on my shoulder practically shoving me back into my seat. "Do you want to start a war? Is that what you want?" I question. "How many times have we made money together? How many times have MY family put their life on the line for y'all's? Caio, Antoine," I call out to them. "This the shit y'all on? This how y'all do us? Seriously?"

Caio looks ashamed but a sense of respect and pride fills me as he looks me right in the eyes and says. "You view me as a child, I know that. But I am not a child, I am a grown man with an empire of family to protect, with a business to run. And I won't make it anywhere by holding loyalty to someone who cannot do the same."

"And just how much would it take for this all to go away and for you guys to trust us again-"

"Bribery?" Antoine questions finally speaking up. "I thought we were well past that Omri. Bribery won't get us anywhere."

"He didn't mean it like that," Miro defends. "If you must know these past few months hasn't been easy for him," I tense at his words. "You all remember the way the wedding was ruined, she rushed back home, and cheated on-"

"Mir." I say with a cutthroat tone not liking the way he's telling everything.

"You're all smart individuals, I'm sure you've looked into me and my brother. He has certain mental battles he fights, we should've had this conversation sooner but we had no way of knowing that this would turn into a big thing." Miro finishes completely ignoring me.

My jaw clenched as I come to the realization that he chose pity of respect. Rather than us say "Fuck y'all let's see how y'all make it without our alliance" Miro just told all of my business hoping it would make them feel pity on me and not stop working with us.
