Tony, please don't do it.

It had been a year since Tony had been taken by the 10 Rings and he was obsessed with making the suit perfect, getting it just right for him to be able to fly around.

However Tony was slowly dying, there was a piece of shrapnel flowing around in his blood stream, slowly poisoning him.

Liz was extremely worried about her nephew, but he was just as stubborn as her and there was nothing she could do to change his mind.

One day, she went into his workshop with Rhodey and he was sitting in one of his cars, they walked in and towards him.

As Tony and Rhodey started a conversation, Tony got out of the car and almost collapsed, very pale. Liz ran towards him, worried for her nephew.

Tony murmured something to Rhodey, "Liz! Top draw, there's a needle, grab it and bring it here." Liz ran to the draw and got the needle running back to Tony and Rhodey. She handed the needle to Rhodey and he jabbed it into Tony's arm, causing Liz to look away.

Ever since the experiments she had a phobia of needles...

Tony started to regain his colour and looked to Liz, extremely sorry.

A few weeks later, and it turned out that Peppers new secretary was a  secret agent, working for an organisation called S.H.I.E.L.D. She was reporting back to them on Tony and they wanted him to join their little super hero group.

"No. Tony, please don't do it." Liz said when Tony was talking to her about he whole situation.

"Come on El! It's a great opportunity and they practically saved me by giving me a cure."

They went on arguing and Liz had decided to put her foot down, "No, Tony, I forbid you."

"No, you can't do that, you're not my mother."

Liz was taken back at the harshness of his words, and Tony was aswell.

"Fine, have it your way. But don't come crying to me if it doesn't go your way." Liz walked away and opened a portal back to her flat and walked through, not glancing back at Tony.

She went to her room, sat down and cried. Tony tried calling her, multiple times, but she just ignored him. She really didn't want to talk to him, he was the one reason she allowed herself to feel again. But now... Now what was it all for? Just to hurt all over again?

Tony tried for weeks to talk to Liz, as, despite her wishes, he joined the Avengers and just wanted to talk to the one person he had left.

But she kept on ignoring him over and over.
