"Aaaan, Aaaaan", Ishan shouted.

"Baba, why do you have to shout like this? You could just call me on my phone, you know. Reg was asleep on my lap and almost woke up because of your noise", Aan asked, walking downstairs.

"I wanted to talk to you. Come to the kitchen", Ishan replied.

"Baba, you are still shouting. I am right here now. I can never understand how a soft-spoken person like Dad fell for a loud-mouth like you", Aan wondered aloud.

"Because this mouth does a lot of things other than talking and your Dad enjoys that quite a bit, especially if I am loud", replied Ishan, cheekily.

"My bad. I walked into that one, didn't I? Now tell me, why did you call me down?", Aan asked, trying to hide his embarrassment.

"We are having a family dinner on the  weekend after Thanksgiving. ReRe are bringing their significant others. You can also invite someone if you want. Just let me know in advance, so that I can arrange for the same", Ishan said.

"Significant other? You mean they are dating, serious enough to meet the parents? They are babies, Baba. How can you allow it?", Aan asked.

"They are eighteen. I have met both their boyfriends- they seem to be good boys. We are inviting them to get to know them better", Ishan replied.

"Who are they? Why haven't they been introduced to me? ReRe know I will object, right? And how are they dating when I am single?", Aan cribbed.

"Teen saal se tu andha hai toh isme unka kya dosh hai?", Ishan mumbled.

"What?", Aan asked.

"Nothing, baby. Just mark the day on your calendar, please", Ishan said and went back to the kitchen.

He was startled by arms around him after a while."You smell delicious, Ish. Put the pot on simmer and come to bed", his husband said, dragging him away.

"Rach, you smell like a rat died, baby. Please shower before getting on to the bed. By then, dinner will be done and you can do whatever you want to me", Ishan replied.

"Ooh.. A blanket approval. I like that. May I know what the occasion is?", Rachin asked.

"Aan is babysitting Reg. He will take care of his dinner. So you have me to yourself till the other three are home. Now, go shower, hubby", Ishan said, sending his husband away.

Ishan finished cooking dinner and wrote down instructions to Aan for Reg's dinner. He noticed that his husband was still in the shower and quickly joined him. He loved it when Rachin took his time with his prep. Given the fact that they had a 1 year old boy, their love making was restricted to some quick sessions these days. Now that their oldest was home on a break from cricket and could be trusted to keep an eye on his siblings, they could take their time.

The kids were already sat for dinner by the time Ishan and Rachin emerged from their bedrooms. Rene served everyone and passed on the plates. She saw Rewa indicating subtly on how their Baba was struggling to sit and wincing often. Both of them relayed the news to Aan and he glared at his Dad.

"Aan, enough scaring your dad. Finish your dinner and vanish. ReRe, stop giggling. Rehaan, be a good boy and help baba to clear up after dinner, okay?", Ishan said, all the while struggling to hide his blush and the wince.

"Ish, you go and rest, love. Rehaan and I will clear up everything. I will bring Reg to you for his cuddles. You don't need to get up", Rachin instructed.

"Aan, give me Reg. Let me take him to Ishan for a bit. I will put him into the crib once he dozes off with Ishan", Rachin told his son.

"Dad, Baba is okay? He seemed to be in pain", Aan asked.
