The Sorcerer's Stone (BOOK 1)

YR 1 [CHAPTER 33]

                                                                         HOUSE UP WINNER

Harry with his arm still bandaged enters a corridor where up on a stairwell balcony, Hermione, Ron and I were talking then we realized Harry was frozen on his position 

"All right there, Ron?" asked Harry

"All right. You?" Ron asked back 

"All right. Hermione?" 

"Never better." Hermione answered with a smile then Harry looked at me

"Oh merlin please dont tell me you're gonna ask me too? after i cried?" I joked as they laughed at me

The four of us then entered the great hall where we saw banners of slytherin knowing that they already won the house cup, the four of us then sat at the table with the other gryffindors 

"alright there, y/n?" i heard a voice and saw that it was the twins looking at me

"we heard what happened" george added

"dont worry, im okay" i smiled at the as they nod and smiled back widely 

then we heard a spoon clattering a cup we looked infront and saw Professor Dumbledore standing up 

"Another year gone. And now, as I understand it, the house cup needs awarding. And the points stand thus: In fourth place, Gryffindor with 312 points." The gryffindors groan at this as i did the exact same thing 

"Third place, Hufflepuff with 352 points.  In second place, Ravenclaw with 426 points." We all clapped at this 

"And in first place, with 472 points, Slytherin house" I look at the slytherin table and locked eyes with pansy and smiled at her while clapping as she just nod  

"Yes, yes, well done, Slytherin. Well done, Slytherin. However, recent events must be taken into account. And I have a few last-minute points to award." A hint of hope was flustered in each houses including gryffindor 

"To Miss Hermione Granger, for the cool use of intellect while others were in grave peril, 40 points." I look at Hermione as she looks at me with a suprise face. We were clapping for her 

"Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley, for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years, 40 points." I smiled at them while applauding 

"And third, to Mr. Harry Potter, for pure nerve and outstanding courage, I award Gryffindor house 40 points." I hugged Harry who was beside me as he hugged me back 

"Fourth, To Miss Y/n Potter for Knowledge and Bravery for protecting her loved ones 40 points to gryffindor" Harry patted me and smiled at me while I heard clapping 

"We're tied with Slytherin!" Hermione said 

"And finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award 10 points to Neville Longbottom." We all looked at neville as we tackled him into a hug as he was just frozen there not believing what is happening 

"Assuming that my calculations are correct, I believe that a change of decoration is in order." Professor Dumbledore said as he claps and motions his hands towards the Slytherin banners, where they flap heavily, until the banners have changed completely to red and gold with the Gryffindor symbol

"Gryffindor wins the House Cup." He said as he smiled at us 

The Great Hall explodes with applause, not only from the Gryffindors, but also from the Ravenclaws and the Hufflepuffs because they are glad that for the first time in seven years, someone other than Slytherin has won the House Cup. Hagrid can't help himself to also cheer, and all students except the Slytherins throw their hats in the air, while Malfoy angrily throws his on the table in defeat.
