Sunoo's POV
I stood in the hallway before class. Today's the first day back in class, and hell yeah did I not miss it. We even had to miserably have a big test in the first day!? Yeah, our school is messed up. I waited for Jia to show up, but she never did. Jungwon told me she was late, even later than me. I told Jungwon to stop being a jerk. He seemed surprised, and he defended himself. Well, I'm surprised he didn't see his crush's different behavior.
The bell rang, indicating the start of first period. And Jia wasn't there yet. I was a bit worried, but I entered the room and took my seat next to Riki. "Where's Jia?" Riki whispered.
I sighed. "I don't know. She's not really okay, but I was positive that she was coming, it's a pretty big test. If she doesn't come, it's an automatic fail. Jia ain't risking that."
"I hope she's fine."
Mr. Seo walked in, sighing. "New day." He clasped his hands together. "So! Better be prepared for your tests. . . Where's Jia?" He asked. Evryone started whispering as I sighed. Jungwon bit his lip. "Anyone seen the poor girl?"
I raised my hand. "I saw her yesterday afternoon."
"I was the last to see her. 2:47 p.m. at the school yard. She was walking with her brother. She's usually in time for the class routine in the assembly hall each week, but this morning she didn't show up. It's kinda . . . worrying, considering that she's usually always on time." He admitted.
"Thank you, class president Yang. It's great that you know where your classmate was. Anyone mind checking on her? I'll let you answer the test separately, same time limit." He said.
Everyone else stayed silent, except Wonyoung, Riki, Jungwon, and I. We all raised our hands.
"Hmm. Wonyoung and Jungwon. Please check on her."
Author's POV
Wonyoung and Jungwon silently walked outside, on the way to the dormitory. "Have you spoken to Jia recently?"
"Oh. Your pretty crush? I haven't. I'm giving her some space. I feel her pain." She quietly explained.
"Hey. She's not my crush." I pouted. But my heart pounded excitedly at the thought.
"Just admit it lover boy. I can see it in your eyes. At least admit that she's pretty." She pushed.
I rolled my eyes, stopping at room 239. I knocked on the door, waiting for a response. We waited five minutes later, but the door still stayed locked.
"Maybe she isn't here. At the library maybe?" I suggested.
"Nah, we have to try. I'll go in first." Wonyoung said, dismissing my suggestion.
I looked at her, confused. "You're gonna break in? You can pick a lock? Or even worse, you can break the door down?"
She rolled her eyes. "No, I have the password." She pulled out her phone. "She sent it to me a few months ago." A minute later, Wonyoung looked up. "Here!" She hesitantly pressed the digits in, as I turned my gaze somewhere else, to keep Jia's privacy. The door unlocked as we slowly walked in. The room was a mess. Clothes everywhere, bags and shoes. The only clean area was Kyujin's side of the room. I turned my head to see Jia asleep.
"There's no way she slept in on the morning of an important test." I mumbled. Wonyoung crept closer, taking a good look of her.
"She's- She-" she paused as I walked next to her. "-is so pale!" I widened my eyes at her appearance. She looked like she worked nonstop for months, ate nothing for weeks, and caught a deadly disease. Umm, maybe too dramatic.
