We were eating dinner and enjoying ourselves.  The gals drank a little too much.  None of us said anything.  We knew this would be happening for a while.  Cindy and I later told them when we were dancing with our former mentees. They are not to drive and call us, and one of us would go get them.  They promised they would. We all had a good time dancing.  We met Hector that night. He lives in the hotel, which was news to Alexa. He told her in Spanish several of them do with their soldiers. He was very pleasant and dressed well. He thanked us for being their for his cousin, tia, and tio. We told him it was our pleasure.  He hugged his cousin and Jaime.  We all left to go upstairs.

" Now knowing he is living here with some of my other relatives and their soldiers.  I would like us to leave tonight. Cindy, will your crew be ready in two hours?"
" Yes, I will call the pilots, and they will call the flight attendants. It's not a problem."

Cindy called all four of them. We went back to the suite and packed. We were downstairs getting in the vehicles. Hector comes up to Julia's rental.

" I knew you would be leaving tonight.  I just wanted to be honest with you. You, tia, and my uncle never wanted anything from any of us even when you struggled. We offered money but tio always refused. Our papa told us to always look out for you and your parents, and we have.  We will continue. You will not know who because we have others helping you be safe, Alexa.  You're still my prima."
" Hector, I know better to tell you not to. Thank you, Primo. Love you."

They hugged one another, and Alexa got into the suv. Hector closes the door. We all leave.

" Sweetie,  you okay?" " I am and didn't know.  I feel at times, people are near watching me. Now I know for sure.  It is eerie, but knowing they are looking out for me is touching."

The three of them fell asleep.  I woke them up when we arrived at the airport.  I had called Cindy and told her thru my blue tooth earpiece their conversation.  She said she had a feeling but now knows.  She told me it was a good thing.  They would keep her safe.  We went through customs.  We only declared liquor.  Our weapons were in our locked boxes with attached paperwork as required.  One of the airplane security was telling us they would keep them. Hector went up to him and told him he wouldn't or his family would be killed very slowly.  None of us said anything. He let us all through. Alexa thanked her cousin before we left. We boarded our plane and waited for permission to leave.

" Babe, wow, that guy wasn't happy and scared. This has never happened as many times we have been here. "  " I know maybe we can come down to see the family not involved in the cartel and visit our parents. I will have to think about it. I know we have been invited to some special events and haven't responded to all of them yet."

We were up in the air and cleared to move around. We went to the bar and poured us either a whiskey or a bourbon and sat down with the others who were playing chess. Each of them had a board in front of them. We drank two more and called it a night. We were emotionally and physically tired.
