Maria and I had deposited the money earlier this morning. We met with each of our employees who had interviews. They all agreed they would stay. Our human service director wrote up new wage increases. We all signed and dated them. They would begin next week. Each one of them received a copy.
They were instructed not to discuss their pay raises. We asked our human services to increase all wages we had given her. They were not to discuss it either. We would sign then once we received them. We left to go work on some taxes for our customers. We were glad that Cindy had given us the opportunity to raise all their wages and keep the employees who had interviews. Cindy was right business was business. We knew Alexa would understand.

In Spain...I receive a texted from my human resource director informing them all the employees who were coming from James and Maria's accounting firm would be staying. I chuckled and Julia asks me why. I tell her they were obviously came up with funds to increase their salaries. She laughs and tells me it was probably someone we both knew.

" You really think she do that to me?" " Sweetie, most definitely. She was looking for a business to invest in. From Peter's home, she received the most from it. Plus business is business. Cindy and I did that to several of our competitors." " I am not mad. I understand. Its top windy and they said flooding would be occurring. I suggest we stay in today and veg out and finish reading the book. It is getting interesting. I think I know the killer. I just texted them and told them no hard feelings. They said they were glad. I didn't tell them I had an idea Cindy helped them financially. We read the last six chapters. We went downstairs to eat dinner in the restaurant. We got so engrossed talking about the book. We both were wrong on the killer. The killer ended up being killed by someone on his team. The restaurant wasn't busy so we got in and out quickly. We ordered dessert and took it with us with soy milk up to our room. Alexa opens the door and closes it. I place the bag and spray us. We tossed the masks away and wash and dried our hands. Alexa turns on the TV to watch a late night movie as we enjoy our chocolate cake with milk.

Maria and James sent me a fruit basket as a thank you with a note saying they accepted the new wages. I was glad it all worked out. I texted them both and asks them to send my dividends to Sage sisters parents scholarship fund. I sent them the contact information. They said they would. I wasn't going to keep any money from my brother. I already made interest from it and sent the interest with a check from to the hospital too. I was watching the weather channel and noticed flooding in Spain. I got my cellphone. I dialed Julia's number.

" I just saw the news. I will have my crew come and get you before it gets worse. It's not going to stop while you are there. Are you two able to drive to the airport tonight? I know it cuts your vacation short." " We appreciate it. We were trying to change our date but had no luck and also no luck finding an airline either. We will check out once we pack. Alexa say thank you. I will tell her what you said."

I ended the call. I told her at least our paintings and wine was gone and in the air as we could track them. I told her she said sweetie your welcome. We got our stuff dirty clothes and all. We already had the souvenirs packed. We were done in fifteen minutes. We took our passports out of the safe, extra cash and jewelry. We place the jewelry in our two new carry on suite cases. Alexa and I get the two door preventer gadgets and place them in our coats. We put on our coats and leave. We have to wait for the elevator. The kids are crying and the father says he was able to get a flight for them Texas. We are happy they got a flight out. We all get on the elevator. We exited exited the elevator with our masks on and wait in line. We are the fifth one in line. The place is a mad house. Men are boarding up the windows. We see them bring out hard plastic and one employee tells the others they need to start from the back before the water gets to close. We figure it is a barrier to keep the water out of the hotel. We are waited on. We split the room cost and pay in USD. The lady says safe travels. They will still stay open but are moving up everyone higher. She tells us to hurry and be safe. We thank her and leave. Police officers and fire employees are direction people. We put our six suitcases and get in before it starts raining harder. We wait our turn and than Alexa pulls forward. We have the windshield wipers on. We have our cellphones charging with the adapters changers. We have the radio on listening to the weather report as we make our way to the airport. It takes us over 6 hours to get the rental place. We remove everything. The rain is coming down harder. The lady comes out to inspect it. She says it needs more gas. Alexa says she isn't driving anywhere to get gas. Just charge her as it states on the contract. We make our way inside to pay the bill. We leave and make our way to the airport. We make it in about 18 minutes. We are soaked in our pants only. We check in and go through customs. We are cleared. Julia tells them Cindy Ruiz plane will be getting us. The employee says okay and for us not to leave our luggage unattended. We make our way to the bathroom to change into dry pants. We see the handicap is vacant. So we go in there and change. It took us a while. We also used the restroom. We were wearing ripped jeans so we both tossed them in the trash and washed and used the air dryer to dry our hands. We tossed the wet masks in the trash. We wash and air dried our hands again. No one is in the restroom. We kiss and put new masks on. We say a prayer for not only us bit others. We leave the restroom and make our way to the gate where Cindy's plane would get us. There is only floor space. We sit in the bigger suit case and wait.

"We have about 4 and half hours to wait for it to land. Julia why don't you take a nap first and I will wake you when it arrives. " " Are you sure?" " Yes my love. We both can sleep on the plane. "

Julia removes her coat and I do too. We use hers to make a pillow and mine to lay as a mattress. It's the best we can do under the circumstances.
