Julia and I changed our clothes and shoes. We got two bottles of warm temperature water and went to our fitness room to work out using the weights , treadmill, and elliptical. I held the bag when Alexa hit the mma bag and kicked it several hard times.

" Sweetie, I can not hold it anymore the way you are kicking it.  You worked out enough."  " I  will be dome in ten minutes when my alarm goes off.  We will go take a nice hot bath."

I waited until she was done and had wiped my sweat and toss the dirty towel in the hamper in the bathroom by the fitness room.  I drank all my water. Alexa was done and did the same. We threw away the empty bottles in the kitchen, recycle bin, and went upstairs to take a shower.  We took a nice hot and warm bath. We got ready and changed into wool lined pants with a very pullover sweater.  We  applied our makeup. We used the restroom, wash and dried our hands before we put on our leather boots that were above our ankles. We went downstairs to get our winter parkas and left with our guns on us, cellphone and keys in our pockets. Once Julia turns the alarm on and Alexa locks the door, we put on our gloves.  Alexa drove us to the Chinese restaurant in her alfa romeo. We got there at the same time Jake did. Tom and Leroy Jenkins who were two of Cindy's married guards showed up with her in the passenger seat of Leroy's car.  We all went inside. Cindy had made a reservation.  We only had to wait for Jaime. Jaime texted Cindy to tell her she was stuck in traffic.  In the meantime,  Cindy told us all about her surprise.  Alexa pretended not to know. She told us Jaime wanted her own clinic.  Jake said she would no longer be a partner in his clinic and had his lawyer draw up the sale of her percentage. She would need to sign it. The three of us agrees feeling this was only fair.  Jake had a check for her to. She finally arrives as we are sipping on our tea or coffee.
We all tell her happy birthday.  She removes her coat and places it on the back of her chair and sits down.

"Thank you all for coming out in the cold. It is colder now than it was this morning."

The waitress pours her coffee, and Jaime adds her cream to it and then sips it. We all placed our orders in.

"Jaime, we all know you are not happy only owning 30 percent of the clinic.  Cindy and Julia agreed with me.  I have a check to buy you out which you can use as you wish. I need you to sign this before we can move further.  Please read it all. If you don't understand anything,  please ask. We don't need to happen like last time to you."

Jake hands her the contract and she begins reading it.

" NO FREAKING WAY YOU THREE BOUGHT ME MY OWN CLINIC. THANKS! IT'S BEEN ON MY BUCKET LIST TO OWN MY OWN VETERINARY CLINIC."

She reads it all as she is teary up as Alexa is.  Cindy and I hand them tissue to dry their eyes. They tell is thank and wipe their tears and place the tissue in their pockets.  Jaime signs and dates it.  Jake does the same. They shake hands and hug one another.  Jaime orders us all saki to make a toast. The Saki arrives.

" This is one of the best gifts I ever received next to my surgeries to change me. I am truly grateful for you five of supporting me and making my dreams come true."

We clink the glasses and drink the saki. Our food arrives. As we eat, Jake tells Jaime he knows some  other veterinarians who are selling some of their equipment as they got newer ones.  He says most of the money from the check will cover it all except 18,597.83 cents.

" I will pay the difference.  Jake just tell me who I make the checks out too. Please contact them and have them delivery all of the equipment."

Jaime, thanks me. I know she wants to kiss but doesn't.  We finished eating, and Jake made the calls. He tells them that Jaime will have the checks waiting for them.  We paid the bill and left our tips.  We use the restroom and leave. Cindy and her two body guards are leading us to the clinic. The above photo is the clinic. Jaime cries when Cindy her former mentor hands her the keys and whispers her the alarm code.  Jaime kisses Cindy, Julia and Jake on their cheeks.  She unlocks the door and turns off the alarm. Some furniture was bought with the place as well as some of the equipment.

" I love the lit up sign. Thanks you three."

She runs looking around on each floor. She finally returns down stairs and is crying again. I hug my ex wife and tell her she deserves it.  She tells me she knows she has made poor choices but in the end, people she loves forgive her. I tell her we all make mistakes.

" Jaime, I have a few more interviews on Monday.  Everyone else has been hired. Your business officially opens on  Monday.  Your business was inspected and passed.  I knew you would get the equipment and it all pass too. You get to have fun waiting for them to deliver your stuff in two hours. We all will leave you to your new clinic," says Cindy. " Alexa
will you stay here with me and I will drop you off."  " OKAY, babe I will pick up dinner for us. Greek food or Thai for dinner."

I tell her Thai.  She hands me her keys and we kiss one another before the rest of us leave.
