Back in Seattle....
"Cindy, I miss hanging out with you." "Jaime, I did too. It was just hard for me to hear you call Julia a cunt and a bitch. She is neither. It hurt me to hear you call her that especially after the both of us did so much for you and your family. Julia hires your parents when they were struggling financially and no one would hire them. All what I did and what we both contributed and not expecting anything in return. You're lucky I didn't have my pilot land and leave you in Chicago. I could have hurt you more that day instead of hitting you in your face."
" I wanted to be honest with you. I would have thought one or both of them would have mentioned it to you. I was sorry for saying that to her. My marriage was falling apart because of my poor choices. She leaves me. I really was more on love with her than she was me." "Love does hurt."We had just finished swimming and had showered. Jaime ordered us some BBQ wings with a pizza from Julian's pizzeria . I opened two bottles of modelo dark beer. I handed her one. We drank some and started eating the 10 BBQ wings before we would eat the large meat and vegetable combination pizza and finish our beer. We talked about our failed marriages. We ended up drinking three beers each and had a few shots of tequila. We cleaned up the mess. I told Jaime she would stay in the downstairs guest room. Both of us had too much to drink. I barely made it to the bathroom before I puked. I did my nightly routine, feeling sorry for myself. I gargled a lot. I asked Jane to go to Jaime's home to get her medicine, a change of clothes, and toiletries. Jaime was waiting for Jane. I see Jane enter the house and call out for Jane. My head was hurting and spinning. I could see on the monitor Jaime being given her stuff and keys. She locked the door as soon as Jane left and turned on the alarm. I passed out .
I felt better in my pajamas. I was nowhere drunk as Cindy but drunk enough not to get in my alfa romeo to drive home. I stayed up watching a movie and then turned the TV off to sleep.
The following morning,I woke up and took a shower and got ready to make breakfast and go to work. I made us breakfast and coffee. Cindy never came down. I wrote her a note and left it on the kitchen counter with her plate of food. Her cleaning crew was here. I told them Cindy was still asleep and would have a nasty hangover. I went to get my stuff and left for work.
I woke up with a nasty hangover. I got up to use the restroom, took two Tylenol with some water from the bathroom sink, then undressed, and got in the shower to take one. I took a cold shower to help me wake up. I got myself ready and had my gray adidas sweats on with my black and white tennis court tennis shoes. I didn't put any makeup on. I left my bedroom and walked downstairs. I walked to the kitchen and saw the note. I read it and tossed it in the trash. The gardeners were here too. I ate my breakfast and left to go back upstairs. I put my Seattle Mariners baseball cap and got my guns, keys, wallet, and cellphone and then left back downstairs using the stairs. I left for the Seattle clinic to check on the books before the accountant would begin doing the taxes. I arrive and park out front with Larry and Rebecca. We all entered the clinic. My employees say good morning to us, and we say the same.
" Auntie, I say this with love. You look like crap. I am guessing you and Jaime had too much to drink last night. No makeup, either. I am off to go to the hospital to check on a patient. Please review the books and go home. You need to sleep more." " I plan on it, Peter."
We gave one another a huh before I went to review the books. I was in and out in two hours. I was tired still and my head was still pounding. I called Taylor if she could do a home visit. I knew she was certified as a physical therapist, masseuse and now an acupuncturist. She saw how well it worked with Julia when Sylvia used it on her. She made sure all her employees who were a physical therapist or masseuse learned how to do acupuncture. She paid for them to be trained and certified. They had to sign a contract that they would stay with her for two years. Taylor said she could make it but would send someone over. She told me Lisa said she saw me and I looked like crap. I told her my niece said the same thing. I arrived at home. The gardeners were gone but my cleaning service was still in home when I entered my home.
" Dr. Ruiz, we should be done in two hours or less. Jaime asked to tell you to stay hydrated. I left several bottles of water on your night stand." " Thank you."
I waited in my lounge by the kitchen to wait to have Taylor's employee to arrive. While I waited, I texted Jaime to thank her. She responded, you're welcome and to take two more aspirin when I could again. I told her yes mom. Her last response was lol. The door bell rang, I got up to answer it. It was an employee of Taylor. I told her I would sir at down in the kitchen. She washed and dried her hands before inserting needles around my forehead, temples, and head. I could feel the pain subsiding. When she was done, I gave her a nice tip. She had me sign a form so she could have my my medical insurance. I thanked her, and she left after washing and drying her hands. I was glad that all the vacuuming was done. It didn't help my headache this morning when I heard several vacuum cleaners being used on top of gardeners mowing and using the blower. I went upstairs to my bedroom and locked my door. I used the restroom before I got into bed and drank a bottle of water. I didn't take any more over the counter pain relief. I removed my tennis shoes and coat. I put them away in the closet. I removed my guns and placed them on my nightstand. I plugged my cellphone into the chsrger and placed it on silence. I got under the covers, and I fell asleep almost instantly.
