Over a month has passed. Everyone who Julia bought the souvenirs for loved them. They especially loved the wine. Julia  received a lot of calls and texts from her people who worked for her and Cindy. Many were positive comments a few were not. Today is Valentine's Day. Alexa and I decided to stay home because there are way too many germs out there. Her new accounting firm is open and picking up new contracts.
We are finishing cooking our veal steaks, with a spinach salad whth mushrooms slices and sliced hard boiled eggs,  a baked red potato which we added butter,  pepper and chives on, a bottle of Rośe wine we had mailed to us. We both had our presents out on the dining table but far away we couldn't see them.
We say a prayer and make a toast to one another before we take a sip of our wine and begin eating our delicious meal.

Alexa will definitely be happy when she opens her gift.  I had it wrapped white with red hearts and red ribbons with a huge red box. The box was one of my former shoe boxes with sand . Mine was wrapped with red wrapping paper with hearts and the words written in gold cursive writing that stated Valentine's Day.  It was rectangular and maybe a bracelet in it. The two of continued to talk and take glances at our gifts.  We agreed we wouldn't open them until we had our dessert which was a chocolate chip cookie shaped  in a heart. We made six red velvet cup cakes withwhire butter frosting for all of our neighbors, friends and family. We delivered them after we finished cleaning up the kitchen from  lunch. We made, decorated them last night and placed them in a rubber maid containers. We told each person happy valentine's day and the container was there's to keep. For Rachelle and her family in̈ Colorado,  we sent a ten pound box of mixed candy from See's candy. They received it two days ago and each one thanked us. We were both thanked. We received fudge with walnuts from Alice and Tim.  From Hannah,two mini carrot cakes, from Jake,  a necklace with an open heart on it,from James and Lance a dinner date which included a gift card for a movie to see in the theater and lots of various Valentine's cards.
We were finally done and cleaned up the kitchen. We took our presents each carrying our own Alexa carried the dessert with napkins and two small plates. and the one huge chocolate chip cookie was the size of a dinner plate. We would eat it with a glass of milk.
I turned on the stereo and we danced several songs with the fire place on. We had purchased flannel pajamas that were white with various sizes of red hearts on them. The buttons were a red flat heart. We were wearing our black comfortable faux fur slippers. As we danced we talked.  We sat down on the couch and removed our slippers. Alexa uses the remote to turn the stereo off and places the remote by our gifts.  I had picked up the remote for the tv. We had already decided to watch the hallmark channel. Alexa covers us wih6a furry blanket that would cover us both. She lays her head on my lap and I kiss her. We begin to watch the first movie. Alexa gets up so we can get some milk and use the restroom. We listen to a fee commercials advertising vehicles,  candy and jewelry stores that are on several states. We return placing the glasses of milk on coasters.

" Julia you go first.,"

I take my time opening it.  Alexa is getting impatient. I opened the box. It's a sterling silver bracelet with my ruby birthstone inbedded into the bracelet. I kiss her a few times. She helps me put it on. I tell her it's her turn.

" Babe this box is heavy. Is it filled with rocks?"  NO and don't be silly."
She opens it and opens one of the envelopes that stated open me first. I wrote her a love letter. She hugs me and gives me a long kiss. She opens the second envelope and sees it is the deed. She smiles and screams. She is happy. 

" Ah thank you. Now, I understand why you wanted me to wait. Did you have this planned when I asked you in Spain?"
" Yes,  I felt bad you looked hurt when I told you no." " Thank you and it was worth the wait.  I now own two accounting firms by myself. Thank you God. I am truly blessed. Why sand?"
" To give you the illusion it was heavy and my shoe box was to throw you off the size of the gift."
We broken the chocolate chip cookie as close as we could to half. We both laughed when we broke it into smaller pieces to dunk it into our glass of milk. We both agreed it was moist and yummy. We finished the cookie and milk. Julia had a milk mustache. I used my tongue to lick the mill off than we begin to kissing. We stopped and we got up. Alexa picks up both envelopes and tells me she is going to lock them in the safe. She asks me to turn the TV off. I do and follow her to our office wearing my lovely bracelet. All of the lights are off.  Alexa and I return. She turns off the fireplace. We walk upstairs. The moon is bright as we walk upstairs. I close and locl the door. We kick off our slippers. We go do our nightly routine and start undressing one another in the bathroom.  Julia picks me up and place's me on her left  shoulder and carries me to our bed and lays me down carefully on the duvet cover. We make passionate love on top of the duvet cover . We both get up to use the restroom before we actually get under the covers to fall asleep.

" Julia,  I am glad we agreed to stay home for Valentine's Day. I loved spreading it with you." 

I tell her I felt the same way. We move to Alexa being the big spoon. We eventually fall asleep  .
