Once back at the hotel, Mr LaRusso and Mr Lawrence give us our room keys, then leave us to divvy them up on our own. Luckily, Sam and I don't have to make much of a decision. While the boys argue with each other about who knows what, Sam sighs and looks bothered for some reason.

"¿Qué pasa?" I ask her. I've been doing a decent job of keeping a pleasant tone in my voice, even though I want to either get in front of a bag and train until my arms fall off, or get so immersed in a kata that I can't think about anything else anymore.

"How could Tory go back to Cobra Kai?" she wonders aloud, "I thought things had changed..."

My heart pangs with pain and guilt. I was the only one Tory told about Kreese... I haven't said anything to my peers about it. She told me not to. I didn't particularly have the chance either. After the fight I was a little... preoccupied- what with my mental state deteriorating and all.

As I open my mouth to speak, a group of Cobras approach where the six of us stand. Shit...

"Woah," their ringleader says, "so you're the famous Miyagi-Do. We have heard about you... but I do not know why. You do not look like much."

That's the same guy I met in the hallway earlier, Kwon... I was right, he's an asshole. He wasn't particularly pleasant towards me, but he was relatively civil... interesting to see how he amps it up in front of the others...

"Yeah?" Eli shoots back, stepping up, "you'll see better when you step on the mat."

"C'mon guys, it's not worth it," Robby says, putting a hand on Eli's shoulder. I'm glad he's deescalating this. We don't need any unnecessary fights while we're here.

"Robby's right, forget about it," Miguel agrees, "they're just any other dojo here."

The rest of us give curt nods. They're right. Cobra Kai has opposed us time and time again, but it's not just them anymore. This is a world competition. It's not like the All Valley. It's not like home.

Kwon and his quiver of Cobras push through us, though he pauses when he gets to where I stand at the end of our little clump. He smirks.

"Nice to see you again," he says, deliberately looking me up and down, "Miss Reyes-LaRusso."

Gross. I feel violated. Robby steps in front of me, staring Kwon down.

"Get lost," he says, not an ounce of humor in his voice. Kwon looks from me, to Robby, then back to me, and the smirk on his face bleeds into a grin. Por dios... seems he's put the dots together between me and Robby. Good. Although I doubt that will detour him from the behavior he's shown towards me from the moment we met.

Miguel and Eli join Robby in front of me. Kwon finally does as Robby told him to, and carries on his way. Once the Cobras are gone, Robby turns to me.

"What was that all about?" he asks. I can tell he's still angry, but it doesn't seem as if it's directed at me. The others look curious as well.
