"What are you doing there? You seem to be emerged into your phone," Yīkào was trying to peek at my valuable belongings; there wasn't much I was doing.

"It's nothing, just this dumb story I've been trying to write, although I've been procrastinating like shit," being honest with him since it was just a stupid story.

"That's interesting. How long have you been at it?" we got to another traffic light and weren't that far away from the park now.

"I can't remember but I'm nearing the end of the whole thing, just gotta push through and torture myself!" half-joking.

The lack of sleep that was coursing through my body was intense; it was like I couldn't keep my eyes open for very long. However, I pushed through and kept awake for Amber; she needed me the most, and I didn't care if it was always.

"Well, you can always message me it when it's done; it'd be excited to read," he smiled as the light for the crossing turned green, so we could cross. I didn't really want to admit that I've written the whole book- well, only the plot line- but it's not published yet, so that means that it's not done.

"Maybe, maybe, but for now I think I'll be keeping it secret," rubbing my hands mischievously and again I lied; I was lying a lot right now.

Subtly, I kept yacking away at my phone when I had a minor idea of what could happen next, seeing Yīkào peek, but I didn't care about that one bit. I more cared about getting to the park, flicking to the top of my phone at the bottom to check the time; noticing that we only had 10 minutes left until we're officially late. Before Yīkào could complain, I grabbed his plump wrist and started pacing to the destination as quick as possible; I couldn't afford to be late or let down Amber again.
