This chapter does not relate anywhere near the rest of the chapters, but if you want to consider it to be a part of the chapters, then I guess I can't stop you. Although I do like to ruin your lives 🥺↕️ I added some more things after Christmas because I was not happy with the results, so that's why it looks bible length, HAH!

I was waiting, counting down the minutes' til midnight came about. Checking my phone every second or so before it turned 11:50pm, rushing out of my bed and not caring about the lack of clothing I had; only being my pajamas and a Christmas jumper. I didn't care if I was creating a havoc in my bedroom; I needed to find my gift and sprint to Amber's house.

"Isabella, what are you doing up so late?" my boss said, opening my door and looking at me with a confused expression.

"I'll be back in the morning- trust!" scurrying past him and throwing myself down the stairs.

"Just don't get-" the window had already slammed before I could hear the rest of what he was saying. I didn't bother to use the door because my energy was sky rocketing; I couldn't wait to see Amber again, and not counting that I saw her only 7 hours ago.

My skin bubbling as it turned to the usual brown fur that was of my monster; I was a friendly monster, so people late down at the park weren't my importance. The best part was that it was snowing heavily, prancing in the snow and rolling around in it. I may have gotten distracted by the texture of my warm fur; shaking off the excess before rolling around more, getting stares by fellow mortals.

"Iz!!" I perked up and saw Amber running in her black coat and baggy clothing, grunting at her sight before running at her. Into her arms again for another time, nuzzling her body as she giggles. "You're so warm," stroking my damp fur as some teenagers at the park yelled at us.

A friendly monster was a rare sight in many others' eyes.

"Hey, do you think I can ride you and you can run to our favourite spot for sunrise?" I nodded. Me and Amber frequently went to the hills so we can watch the sunrise and eat food from the corner shop. Last time we saw a serenading one another; the funniest sight of the night and humanity. Apart from that, Amber got on my back steadying herself as she gripped my fur; grunting in approval to move, and once she approved, I set off.

She gained more confidence as time went on and sat on my back instead. Not far forward, I settled within a parking lot before looking inside one of the many shops in town, Amber still on my back.

"We got at least 7 hours before sunrise," we were extra early for these things so we can fuck around. I quickly boiled back into the mortal, cracking my bones, giving her a piggyback now.

"Where do you want to go first then, your highness?" settling her down on the snow covered concrete before bowing in her presence.

"Your clothes are unique. Where are your shoes?" I looked down at my feet before smiling at her.

"Left them at home, but come on!" holding her hands with gentleness, "Remember I'm the one that can get whatever you desire"

"I would fancy some Turkish delights..." twiddling on the spot as I smiled, pulling her along. My feet were getting cold by the snow, so I made the sensible decision to boil half my limbs over with fur; leaving my head. "I'm surprised you haven't been arrested for this type of stuff," I should be arrested but the ones who try end up in the river- that's why it smells like radiated donkey shit.

I felt lucky to have a friend like Isabella, especially since we always do evil things like this, and I always felt like I was at peace with her. Partners in crime, if you really wanted to say.
