A few hours and quite a few drinks later, the girls had fully immersed themselves in silly bachelorette party games. They were laughing loudly, trying to complete ridiculous dares and enjoying Cristina's final hours of freedom before her wedding. Charlie was definitely drunk, her cheeks flushed and she couldn't stop giggling at the most random things. But just as they were in the middle of a particularly wild round of "Never Have I Ever", all of their pagers went off simultaneously.

Their laughter died down, replaced with groans and a sense of urgency. They immediately gathered their things, trying to shake off the alcohol-induced buzz and made their way to the hospital as fast as they could. Charlie stumbled a little but pushed herself forward, not ready to let anyone down.

At the hospital, Bailey was waiting for them, her usual commanding presence even more stern given the situation. She started assigning cases, but when she got to Charlie, she paused, raising an eyebrow at the way Charlie swayed slightly on her feet. Bailey's sharp eyes didn't miss anything and it was clear she could tell that Charlie wasn't in the best shape to be working. "Dr. Shepherd, are you - drunk?", Bailey asked with a deadpan expression.

Charlie bit her lip, her eyes wide. "Maybe just a teensy bit.", she admitted with a sheepish grin.

Bailey sighed, rolling her eyes. "Get yourself an IV with fluids and sober up.", she ordered. "And don't even think about touching a patient until you're fully coherent."

Bailey then gave Cristina a pointed look. "You, Dr. Yang, have the day off. You're getting married in less than twelve hours. Go home."

Cristina started to protest, as expected. "But I want to work! You can't just -"

Bailey crossed her arms. "Do I need to repeat myself?"

Cristina scowled but reluctantly accepted her fate. Meanwhile, Charlie stumbled her way to the ER to meet up with Derek and Mark, trying her best to compose herself and act sober. She approached them with a lopsided grin. "Hey, boys!", she greeted, her words slightly slurred. "Ready to save some lives?"

Derek immediately frowned, concern clouding his features. "Lola, are you - drunk?"

Mark, on the other hand, couldn't help but smirk at her. He found the whole thing mildly amusing, the way she was trying to act normal but failing spectacularly. "Looks like the bachelorette party got a little out of hand, huh?", he teased, eyes glinting with humor.

Derek shook his head, more serious. "You shouldn't be here like this." He grabbed her by the arm gently and guided her to an exam room, making her sit down on the edge of a bed. "Stay here. I'll get you an IV.", he said before stepping out.

Charlie pouted after him, feeling a bit like a reprimanded child. But her mood lightened when Mark slipped into the room a few minutes later, his grin widening as he took in her slightly tipsy state. "Well, well.", he drawled, leaning against the doorframe. "I've haven't seen you this drunk in a long time. Should I be worried?"
