Chapter Thirty Four

Beys POV

It was happening....

Her water broke .....

Every thing happened so fast, first we was partying giving out cake and ice cream to now we are rushing to the hospital. I drive as fast as could probably breaking every road law known to man.

As son as I pulled into the emergency rooms, I pulled up shutting the car off. I got out grabbing Nicki carefully rushing inside the hospital.

"Please my wife is in labor." Two nurses rushed to us with a wheelchair, I say Nicki down in the chair and was rushed to another wing.

"How far are her contractions?" Just as the nurse asked that Nicki winced in pain.

"About five minutes apart." I answer as I help them with Nicki into the awaiting room.

"I need to make a few calls. I'll be right outside the door."

"You can't do it h-here." I didn't wanna do all of the calling in the room but I also don't wanna leave her alone even if I'm right outside the door.
I reach over grabbing her hand making the first few calls, the first was my momma.

"Ma yall can just stay at the house, but please give Kelly the too bags in the nursery."

"Alright baby we will be on our way soon, we gotta change out this get up, oh and I put you an outfit so you can change to inside the bag."

"Thank you momma."

"You're welcome I'll see yall in a bit, make sure she stays calm I love yall." The call disconnected and I went to make a few more calls, pushing back schedules, canceling meetings. I'd been working from home since Nicki due date, so my schedule wasn't too packed, but I did have a few things that needed to be done at the office, so those things can wait. I put my phone away just in time, a Darkskin older woman around our moms age walked in.

"Hello ladies my name is Myra, I'll be your midwife for the birthing process."

"Hi Myra our OB is on the way."

"That's fine, I'll still be here to help for the comfortability of mom in the bed."

"Hi mom to be, as I said my name is Myra, before anything let's make sure the baby is good."

I-ok." Nick spoke through a contraction, I can tell cause her grip on my hand tightened.

You're doing great babygirl." I bent down placing a kiss on her forehead. As Myra hooked up the ultrasound machine, Kelly walked in with the bags.

"Thanks Kelz. How are the kids?" I asked grabbing the bags from her sitting it in the chair behind me. Before she could answer Giselle's string steady heart beat filled the room. I turned my attention to Myra and the monitor see my mini looking ready to make it here.

"Awwww yall really about to have a baby." Kelly said with tears of her own.

"Baby look." Nicki voice was soft barely there but t her smile said it all.

"I see mama, you ready?"

"More ready than I'll ever be."

"Ok so everything looks perfect, we gonna put the contraction counter on, so we can't keep track of when your contraction are less than a minute apart, have you been feeling pain?"

"Yes some discomfort but not as bad as I thought." Myra talked to her some more while wrapping the monitoring band around Nics stomach. Once Nicki was back settled I left to the bathroom to change into the clothes my mother packed me. As o finished my phone rang, I looked answering the FaceTime from blue iPad.
