Chapter 30

•Alex's P.O.V•

"I can explain." I held up my hands in defense. Axel shook his head in disbelief.

"You're a multi-elemental!?" Axel finally spoke.

"Yeah." I nodded, letting out a breath as the energy around my arms finally dissipated. I switched back to fire with a bright red burst, catching Axel off guard.

"You- How did- Is that why... How?"

"It's hard to explain." I scratched the back of my head. "I only found out recently. I'm still trying to grasp it myself-"

"How did I not notice earlier..." Axel muttered to himself, seemingly too wrapped up in his own thoughts to hear me. "The abnormal power jump should've made it obvious- no wonder you're so strong. It all makes sense now!"

"Yes, I'm a multi-elemental. You done having a crisis over this?" I flashed him an unamused look. Axel shook his head.

"You know how rare dual-elemntals are- Let alone freaking multi-elementals!?"

"Yeah, I know, I'm pretty rare-"

"How many elements can you control?" Axel cut me off, an unexpected wave of curiosity and excitement having washed over him.

"All of them." I told him nonchalantly. Axel's eyes widened in disbelief as I let out a chill breath. My left eye began morphing into an icy hue as I conjured a small ball of ice in my palm. Axel stared in bewilderment.

"H-How are you so nonchalant about this- this is a big- no, a huge deal!" Axel stammered.

"Why? Other multi-elementals exist in the Elemental Realm. What makes me so special?"

"The fact that before the hero that defeated the Corrupted King fifty years ago, there hasn't been a multi-elemental with control over all ten elements in over two centuries!" Axel grinned excitedly. His sudden excitement and awestruck expression caught me off guard, it was far from the Axel I knew moments ago.

"Okay, fine, that is pretty crazy, but it doesn't have to be as big a deal as it-"

"How does it feel? Is it weird having multiple cores inside you?" Axel asked, cutting me off. I stared at him for a second.

"Uhh-"

"Or is it one core with a fragment of each element?" Axel asked, not even letting me get a word out. It was starting to irritate me.

"I don't know? I just kinda have all ten elements at once and choose which one I wanna use."

"Interesting..." Axel murmurs. "When did you figure it out?"

"Figure what out?" I asked, the small irritation I felt starting to build in my voice?

"That you had control over the other elements, duh." Axel asked, seemingly too overcome by sheer exhilaration to notice my annoyance.

"That's not important right now, Axel." I told him, my voice deeper and more noticably annoyed. Axel pouted.

"Oh come on, this is a once in a lifetime occurrence. Who knows when the realm will get another multi-elemtal. There's so much I wanna know-"

I growled, fire sputtering from my clenched fists.

"What's with all the questions and the sudden curiosity? I get that multi-elementals are rare and all, but it's not something to freak out over! It's not like I'm anything the realm hasn't seen before or anything spectacular that warrants the entire world to gaze upon me!"
