Purrfect Confessions pt.2

Felix parked his car in front of Minho's house, clutching a fresh bouquet of white lilies on the passenger seat. His nerves were starting to build, but he pushed them down as he stepped out and walked up to the front door.

Before he could knock, the door swung open, revealing Minho leaning casually against the doorframe. "You're late," Minho teased, raising an eyebrow.

Felix rolled his eyes. "Traffic," he lied, knowing full well he'd spent an extra ten minutes picking the perfect bouquet. "Where's Hyunjin?"

Minho stepped aside with a smirk. "Inside, playing with my other babies. You'd think he lived here the way he gets along with them."

Felix shot him a warning look, but Minho only grinned wider.

Walking into the living room, Felix's heart softened at the sight. Hyunjin, now back in his human form, was sprawled on the carpet with Soongie, Dori, and Dongie circling him excitedly. He was laughing, his cheeks flushed as Dori batted at the end of his sleeve.

"Hyunjin," Felix called softly, his voice filled with warmth.

Hyunjin's head snapped up, his ears twitching slightly at the sound of Felix's voice. His face lit up with a wide smile as he scrambled to his feet. "Master Feli!"

Felix barely had time to react before Hyunjin practically launched himself at him, wrapping his arms around Felix's waist in a tight hug. "I missed you!"

Felix chuckled, hugging him back and savoring the moment. "I was only gone for a few hours, kitty baby."

"That's still too long," Hyunjin mumbled, burying his face against Felix's chest.

Minho cleared his throat loudly from the doorway, earning a glare from Felix. "You're making this way too easy for me to tease you," Minho said, crossing his arms.

Felix ignored him, pulling back just enough to look at Hyunjin. "You ready to go home?"

Hyunjin nodded eagerly, his tail swishing behind him. "Yep!"

Felix grabbed the bouquet from the table where he'd set it earlier. Hyunjin's eyes widened when he saw it.

"Are those for me?" he asked, his voice soft and filled with wonder.

Felix felt his cheeks heat up. "Yeah," he said, handing them over. "I figured you'd like them."

"They're beautiful," Hyunjin said, cradling the lilies carefully. His eyes sparkled with happiness as he pressed his nose to the petals. "Thank you, Master Feli."

Minho made an exaggerated gagging noise from behind them. "You two are so disgustingly sweet, I think I just got a cavity."

Felix shot him a look, one eyebrow raised. "Careful, Minho, or I might take your cats with me, too."

Minho smirked. "As if you could handle them."

Felix just shook his head, grabbing Hyunjin's hand to lead him toward the door. "Thanks for letting him stay," he called over his shoulder.

"Anytime," Minho replied, and for once, there was no teasing in his voice.

The ride home was quiet, but not uncomfortably so. Hyunjin sat with the bouquet in his lap, humming softly as he stroked the petals with his fingers. Felix glanced at him out of the corner of his eye, his heart swelling with affection.

He rehearsed the words in his head over and over. Hyunjin, I love you. Not just as my companion, but as someone I want to spend my life with.

"Master Feli?" Hyunjin's soft voice broke through his thoughts.
