Purrfect Confessions pt.1

[An: Hyunjin is a cat hybrid and Felix is his owner 💙💜]

The room was quiet, save for the faint rustle of sheets and the soft sound of purring. Felix stirred awake, his golden hair tousled from sleep, and blinked down at the figure curled into his side.

Hyunjin.

The hybrid was still in his human form, his delicate ears twitching every now and then, his tail coiled loosely around Felix's leg. He had fallen asleep like this after a night of thunder and lightning, trembling as he clung to Felix for comfort.

Felix smiled, his heart swelling at the sight. He gently brushed a strand of dark hair from Hyunjin's face, careful not to wake him. "Kitty baby," he murmured softly, his voice filled with affection.

Hyunjin stirred at the sound, his golden-brown eyes fluttering open. He blinked up at Felix, and a soft blush spread across his cheeks when he realized how close they were. "M-Master Feli," he mumbled sleepily, his ears flicking nervously.

"Morning, Hyunie," Felix said, his voice warm and teasing. "Sleep well?"

Hyunjin nodded, his tail swishing lazily behind him. "Yeah... Thank you for letting me stay. I... I was really scared last night."

Felix chuckled softly, reaching out to scratch behind Hyunjin's ears, earning a quiet purr in response. "You don't need to thank me, kitty baby. You know I'll always take care of you."

Hyunjin's heart skipped a beat at the nickname, and he quickly looked away, his face burning. "Y-You're too nice to me, Master Feli..." he whispered.

Felix tilted his head, pretending to be hurt. "Too nice? Is that a bad thing, Jinnie?"

Hyunjin shook his head quickly. "No! I just... I don't know why you're so kind to me. I'm just a hybrid..."

Felix frowned, his hand cupping Hyunjin's cheek to make him look up. "You're not 'just' anything, Hyunjin. You're important to me. Never forget that, okay?"

Hyunjin's breath hitched, his eyes wide and shimmering with emotion. "I-I..." His voice faltered, fear holding him back from saying the words he desperately wanted to say.

Felix gave him a soft smile, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of Hyunjin's head. "Come on, kitty baby," he said, his voice light and teasing. "Let's get some breakfast. I bet you're hungry."

Hyunjin nodded, though his thoughts were a chaotic mess. As Felix got out of bed and left the room, Hyunjin whispered to himself, "I wish you knew how much I love you, Master Feli..."

Little did he know, Felix had paused just outside the door, his sharp hearing picking up the quiet confession. His heart raced, his mind spinning with possibilities. Could Hyunjin really feel the same way?

Felix leaned against the wall, a small smile forming on his lips. "Oh, kitty baby," he murmured to himself. "I wish you knew how much I love you too."

Later that day...

Felix was adjusting his tie in front of the mirror, his thoughts already lingering on the day's tasks ahead. Yet, his attention kept drifting toward the couch, where Hyunjin sat in his human form, black-and-white ears twitching ever so slightly. The adorable hybrid had a soft pout on his lips, his tail flicking back and forth as he hugged a pillow to his chest.

"Do I really have to go to Minho's?" Hyunjin asked, his voice sweet but tinged with reluctance.

Felix turned, his eyes softening at the sight of Hyunjin's endearing expression. "You've been begging to play with his cats for weeks, kitty baby," Felix replied, a gentle teasing lilt in his tone. "Now you're getting shy?"
