Chapter 18 The Perfect Birthday Present

Orko was deep in thought. He knew his uncle Montork's birthday was coming up. He knew since the sorceress now made it able to contact him. He also a small portal can be opened during the contact to hand something over. He was thinking of a birthday present for his uncle. Orko was pondering and he was puzzling about it. Adam walked by Orko's room and saw the Trollan deep in thought. "Is something on your mind Orko?" Adam asked him.

"Yes," Orko said. "You see my Uncle Montork's birthday is this week and I am thinking about getting him a birthday present," he said. "Since the sorceress was able to make it possible to make contact with Trolla and my uncle. It also possible to hand things over to each other by making a small portal," he said. "I haven't given him a birthday present in years," he said. "He is very special to me because he raised me and he is all the family I have since the rest of them are dead," he said. "I just don't know what to get him," he said. "I want it to be very special," he said.

"I can understand that Orko," Adam said. "But I know your heart uncle will love anything you get him, because he loves you," he said.

"I want the gift to be extra special," Orko said. "He has done so much for me, he fed me, clothed me, housed me, gave me a warm bed, comforted me when I was hurt, was by my bedside when I was sick, he was there for me when I felt alone and afraid." He said. "So he took such good care of me," he said. "It has to be special to show how much I love him and how much I appreciate him," he said.

"I understand little buddy," Adam said. "It will come to you," he said. "He sounds very special Orko," he said.

"I know he is, so his birthday present has to extra special," Orko said.

"Tell you what Orko, I will help you get a present for your uncle," Adam said. "After all we are friends and friends help each other," he said.

"Thanks Adam," Orko said. Orko and Adam went into the market. There were many things to see there. Orko was looking at many different things. He was trying to find something that would be perfect for his uncle. "I am not having much luck," he said. "I wish I could find something that really could be great for him," he said. Then Orko bumped into tree and something fell out of his hat. "Hey look here, it is on of magical charms of Eternia the sorceress said I could do what I wanted with since I found it," he said picking it up.

"I remember that too," Adam said. "She said it could do things like make something simple and good appear, all you have to do is think of something simple and good." He said.

"That's it, this will be perfect for Uncle Montork's present," Orko said. "My uncle Montork will able to see something with Eternian magic and he might even be able to further explain magic of other worlds with this," he said. "This is perfect," he said. "Come on," he said.

"Okay let's go," Adam said. They started to head to castle grayskull. Then they heard something and saw Skeletor and Evil Lynn. "Look it is Skeletor and Evil Lynn," Adam said.

"We will use this evil medallion to destroy the sorceress and take castle grayskull for ourselves," Skeletor said.

"We cannot let him do that," Orko said.

"I was thinking the same thing." Adam said. Then he held up his sword. "By the power of grayskull!" he said. "I have the power!" he said. Adam then became He-man. Now he was ready to go. Orko followed him.

"Come on let's head off to grayskull," Skeletor said.

"Not so fast Skeletor!" He-Man said.

"He-man!" Skeletor said. "You will not stop me!" He said attacking him. He-Man began to fight Skeletor.

Orko began to handle Evil Lynn. He was able to hold his own against the evil magic user. Orko was firing spells at her and doing a great job. Then an attack from Evil caused the charm Orko was going to give his uncle Montork. "Oh no!" Orko said. "My uncle's birthday present," he said. "Now how much am I going to show him I am grateful for raising," he said.

"Your uncle would scold you and not be proud, all you are is a royal buffoon, he will probably think you are nothing but a shame," Evil Lynn said.

"My uncle is not like that! Orko said. He was getting angry.

"You're right he is probably as pathetic or more pathetic than you, both of you probably bring such shame to the rest of the family that is probably the why they are not around anymore," Evil Lynn said.

Now Orko was mad and his eyes glowed a bright yellow. "Don't you dare insult my uncle my only family!" Orko said in a very angry voice. Then he knocked Evil Lynn into Skeletor and continued to attack. A few trees got damaged and animals ran. The animals knew Orko and he was kind and good. They loved his tricks and would share his food with them. But they never seen him like this. Evil Lynn and Skeletor were afraid too.

"We are getting out of here!" Skeletor said and him Evil Lynn got away.

"I will teach you to insult my uncle," Orko shouted as they escaped.

"Orko calm down they are defeated, I know your uncle would want you to use power to defend him like this," He-man said.

Then Orko knew He-man was right and he began to calm down. "I'm sorry," Orko said and felt bad for the small part of damage he caused. He was crying and animals came running up to Orko and came his side and tried to comfort him.

Orko then picked up the broken charm. "Now what am I going to do?" Orko asked.

"Maybe the sorceress can fix it," Adam said once he changed back to Adam.

They made it castle grayskull. Orko showed the sorceress the charm and explained. "I can fix it," she said. "It will take a couple of days." She said.

"Well my uncle's birthday is in a couple of days," Orko said. "So I will be back by then," he said.

They came back two days later. "Orko I fixed it," the sorceress said. "But it will have a visible repaired crack," she said.

"Thank you," Orko said.

Then contact was made with Trolla and Montork came to answer. "Hi Orko," Montork said.

"Happy birthday Uncle Montork," Orko said.

"Thank you Orko," Montork said.

"I have something for you," Orko said. Then a small portal opened and Orko handed it over to his uncle through it.

Uncle Montork opened the present. He saw what it was. "This looks like a magic charm," Montork said.

"It is, it is one from Eternia," Orko said. "I am sorry it has repaired crack on it, it broke during a fight I was helping He-man with," he said. "I also sent Skeletor and Evil Lynn running but I almost lost control of my anger because Evil Lynn insulted you, and He-man had to calm me down," he said. "I wish it didn't get broken and repaired because I wanted to give you the perfect present," he said.

"Orko I would have loved anything you got me," Montork said. "Because I love you," he said.

"That is what I told him," Adam said.

"Uncle Montork this is my friend prince Adam, he is the prince I saved as a child," Orko said.

"Nice to meet you," Montork said.

"Nice to meet you too, Orko told me and all the rest of our friends all about you," Adam said.

"Well I am happy for the call and the present because it is from the nephew I love so much," Montork said. "I am just happy my nephew thought of me on my birthday," he said.

Orko felt much better after that.

"Hi today I learned that when you love someone and they love you and you get them a present you shouldn't worry," Orko said. "Because if they truly love you, they will love anything you got them because they love you and care about you," he said. "Until next time," he said.
