Orko was winding down after a visit to Trolla. He was happy being able to see his friends and family for a short while. Orko was able to relax back at the palace now. He was soon in bed and went to sleep dreaming a dream and the dream wasn't pleasant. Then he woke up the next morning and was coughing. Orko was wondering what was up and he went to his bathroom and he saw violet spots on his ears and hands. "YIKES!" Orko shouted and went right into his room.

The others heard him and came running. Orko was hiding under his covers. "Orko everything alright?" Adam asked.

"I don't think so," Orko said and coughed a couple of times.

"Sounds like you got a cough," Man at arms said.

"I know," Orko said and came out from hiding.

The others saw the violet spots on Orko's ears and hands. "Orko's got purple spots," Cringer said.

"Technically they are violet," Andra said.

Dree Elle came up and saw and felt his forehead. "It's Violet Blight," Dree Elle said.

"What's that?" Damien asked.

"It is a common Trollan illness," Dree Elle said. "Most Trollans get it every once and a while," she said. "It very annoying, but if it is a serious case it can make a Trollan very sick, but most Trollans get over it with medicine in the course of a 7 to 10 days," she said. "So in other words Orko needs rest right now and I will call my mother and inform her the situation," she said.

"Why your mother?" Man at arms asked.

"My mother is a Trollan healer she treats things like this all the time," Dree Elle said.

"Do we have to stay away from Orko?" Cringer asked.

"Other Trollans will have too because it is very contagious," Dree Elle said. "But from what we Trollans have studied it really isn't contagious to non-Trollans and doesn't seem to make them sick either," she said. "So for now both Yuka and I have to stay out of the room for the most part," she said.

Dree Elle called her mother and told her of the situation. Kyren made the medicine and came right over. Then Kyren had arrived. "Okay I am here and I have the medicine for Orko," Kyren said coming into the palace.

"That's great," Dree Elle said.

"Yes we are all grateful you have come," Marlena said. "We all care about Orko very much," she said.

"Yes we worry when something happens to him," King Randor said.

"Well let's take care of him," Kyren said. Kyren brought the potion into Orko's room. She saw Orko in bed with Violet blight. "Here is the potion you need to take Orko," she said.

"Okay," Orko said.

"One dose in the morning and one at night," Kyren said. "it will make you better from violet blight," she said.

"Okay," Orko said.

"Make sure you rest too," Kyren said.

"I will," Orko said.

"Plenty of fluids as well," Kyren said.

"Okay," Orko said.

Orko spent much of his time in bed with violet blight. He took his medicine every morning and every night. He was following Kyren's instructions. His friends spent time with him during that time. They were hoping he was going to be okay.

Dree Elle even though she wanted to spend time with her friend she had to try to stay away from him. She didn't want to catch the violet blight for Orko. Orko didn't want to make her sick either.

Kyren was checking on Orko to make sure everything was turning out okay. "Okay this is looking just fine," Kyren said. "I see you don't have a cough anymore," she said. "That is a good thing," she said.

"Great," Orko said.

Then Kyren felt his forehead. "Your fever is going down," Kyren said. "Your spots are disappearing and there are no new ones either," she said. "You are nearly completely over this, so in a couple more days you should be well again," she said.

"That's great," Orko said. He was very happy and excited about it too.

Orko was hoping things could keep going well for him. Orko was also feeling a lot better too. Kyren told him he had to take the medicine until he was better. Orko nodded his head in understanding.

Adam came to see how Orko was doing. "How are you doing Orko?" Adam asked.

"Feeling much better," Orko answered.

"That's great to hear," Adam said.

"Yes I am looking forward to getting out of bed," Orko said.

Then a few days later Orko was all better. Kyren went into Orko's room and magically sanitized everything. "This way no other Trollan who comes here will get sick," Kyren said.

"Yes we don't want that," Man at arms said.

"Thanks for coming to help Orko," Adam said.

"I am happy to, it's my job," Kyren said. "I best be headed back home," she said then left.

Orko was happy to be over the violet blight. "I feel so much better," Orko said. "The best part of being sick is when it is over!" he said.

"I agree to that little buddy," Adam said.

"As do I," Man at arms said. "Glad that you are well again," he said.

"Yes we are glad you are doing better," Marlena said. "We are happy you aren't sick anymore," she said.

"Yes we all care about you Orko and it is not a great feeling to see someone you care about who is sick," Damien said.

"Yes now we have somethings we need to catch up on now that you are better," Andra said.

"I'll say," Orko said.

Then everyone shared a laugh.

"Hi there I want to talk to you about medicine," Dree Elle said. "Your doctor may prescribe you or someone you know medicine for many different reasons, because of an illness, injury or another condition," she said. "But kids like you shouldn't take medicine by yourselves." she said. "An adult you trust must always give you the medicine." she said. "An adult you trust who can give you medicine, are parents, grandparents, doctors and nurses." she said. "Once you are old enough you will take medicine yourself without help," she said. "Until then don't take it without a trusted adult to help you," she said. "Until next time," she said.
