Chapter 20 Magic Flu

It was the first snow of winter on Eternia everyone was having a lot of fun. Adam, Teela, Andra and Damien loved playing in the first snow. Orko loved to join in too. They were having a lot of fun. Orko was throwing a lot of snowballs with his hands and scarf. Everyone was also throwing snowballs at Orko. Then Orko got knocked into snowdrift under a tree and more snow fell on him. Orko popped out of the snow. "Brrr.." Orko said. "I think I got snow in my robe, scarf and hat," he said shivering.

"You okay?" Adam asked noticing him shiver.

"I think so, I do think I need to go inside and get warm," Orko said.

"Same here it is getting pretty cold, the temperature sometimes drops when there is snow and it is snowing again like it is now," Damien said.

"Good idea let's all go inside," Andra said.

They all came in and Orko was shivering and went into his room. He changed out of his cold wet clothes and changed into warm dry clothes. He places his wet cold clothes in his hamper. 

"Orko why did you put clothes in your hamper?" Man at arms asked.

"I got snow all over and in them while playing out there, I had to change out of them they were cold and wet," Orko said.

"That makes sense," Man at arms said.

The night Orko was shivering he clutched his blanket closer and was shivering a lot. Cringer decided to sleep in Orko's room tonight. Then next morning Orko was shivering and not feeling so good. He got out of bed and felt horrible. He came into his bathroom and Cringer followed. "Orko you okay?" Cringer asked.

"Oh Cringer I don't feel like myself," Orko said.

"Do you have a cold or the flu?"  Cringer asked.

"Don't be silly Cringer Trollans don't get colds or the flu, the same way humans and animals do, we get the Magic flu," Orko said.

"Do you have the magic flu?" Cringer asked.

"No Cringer if I had the magic flu, I would be doing random minor involuntary magic every time I cough or sneeze," Orko explained. Then Orko sneezed and magic made a bunch of colorful bubbles. 

"That's not good," Cringer said. "Looks like you have it," he said.

"I know," Orko said. "If I have the magic flu then I can't make my weekly call to my uncle Montork at castle grayskull today," he said.

"I am sure your uncle will understand because you're sick," 

"You're right," Orko said and started to cough and created little feathers that flew everywhere. Orko put a thermometer in his mouth to check his temperature. Orko was sitting on his chair.

Man at arms walked into Orko's room to get him for breakfast. He saw Orko with a thermometer in his hidden mouth. 

"Orko what is going on with you?" Man at arms asked.

"He has the magic flu," Cringer said. "He explained to me it is like a cold or flu bug for Trollans but it is different than what it is for humans and animals," he said. 

Orko then looked at the thermometer. "Ooh 101.3 I got a fever alright," Orko said. Man at arms saw the thermometer reading as 101.3. 

"Yes you are sick get in bed right now," Man at arms said.

"How I am going to tell the sorceress I can't come to castle grayskull for my weekly talk with my uncle because I am sick?" Orko asked.

"Don't worry I will find a way to contact her and let her know," Man at arms said. "I will also let the king and queen know to so they should be expecting you to entertain them for a while," he said.
