People are afraid of me, and to be honest, I don’t even know why. Do I look that scary?

"Nope," my inner voice whispered.

Oh, baby, I already know smirking.

Never mind. Let’s get to the point. It’s been four days since I came to Rajasthan. I’ve met everyone here, and I don't know why, but these people seem so... mysterious. Their way of speaking, their behavior, everything about them feels a little off.

There’s also one person I haven't seen yet. What was his name? Ah, yes, Arthur Raizada.

Right now, I’m sitting in the living room with Arshi and Naveer (Arthur's sister and cousin).

Arshi and Naveer have become my friends. They’re comforting, in their own ways. Naveer is an introvert, so he doesn’t talk much, but he’s a great listener. Arshi, on the other hand, is a chatterbox, just like me—well, a little less than me hihihihi.

"Hey, can we join you at your car racing event?" Arshi asked, causing me to grin instantly.

"Of course, why not? My family won’t be there, but it would make me so happy if you guys came!" I said dramatically, tears welling in my eyes, which made both of them chuckle.

"You’re so dramatic, Shrayn," Naveer said, laughing.

"That’s why I’m Shrayn Kaur Gill," I said, winking at him, making him shake his head with a smile.

"Acha, guys, let’s go for a drive," Arshi exclaimed with excitement, and I grinned ear to ear, blinking.

"Hnnjii, why not?" I replied, glancing at Naveer. He looked unsure, contemplating whether he should go or not.

"Veereeeee," I sang, flashing my most pleading smile.

"I... I have some work, and I don't think I’ll be able to—" he started, but I cut him off with a sad pout.
