Three days since the accident. Three days of chaos. Three days of dealing with the loudest family he had ever encountered.
And today, finally, she was getting discharged.
Arthur adjusted his cufflinks, his expression unreadable as he stood outside the hospital room. He could hear laughter from inside-warm, full of life. A stark contrast to the disciplined silence he was used to.
Ever since the Gill family arrived, the hospital had turned into a lively Punjabi gathering. Loud voices, endless conversations, and emotional outbursts had become a daily occurrence.
And now, for the next two weeks, they would all be staying at Raizada Haveli.
Arthur sighed, rubbing his temple.
This was going to be a long two weeks.
He pushed the door open and stepped inside.

Inside the Hospital Room
The moment Arthur entered, the energy in the room shifted.
The once-lively conversation halted, and all eyes turned to him.
Shrayn, sitting cross-legged on the hospital bed, looked up at him with a smirk. "Raja ji, finally decided to show up?" she teased, tilting her head.
Arthur's sharp gaze swept over her-bandaged forehead, bruised knuckles, but still the same mischievous glint in her eyes. The same stubborn fire that made her impossible to ignore.
"You talk too much, Sardarni," he muttered, walking past her toward the doctor.
Eknoor, Shrayn's younger sister, wiggled her eyebrows. "Ohooo."
Shrayn rolled her eyes and kicked her under the blanket.
Arthur sighed. Another troublemaker.

Fifteen Minutes Later - Discharge Process
"Alright, Ms. Gill, you're free to leave," the doctor announced. "But you need rest-no stress, no overexertion, and definitely no racing."
"WHAT?" Shrayn gasped, sitting up. "No racing? Are you serious?"
"Shrayn," her mother, Guruka, warned.
"Bebe, do you hear this? He's basically telling me to stop breathing!"
Arthur, who had been silent until now, finally spoke. "It's not up for debate. You'll follow the rules."
Shrayn turned to him, glaring. "Oh? And who exactly put you in charge of my life?"
Arthur leaned in slightly, his voice low and firm. "Your husband-to-be, apparently."
Silence.
Shrayn froze, blinking at him.
Eknoor choked on her laughter. Guruka sighed.
