"You seriously didn't want to marry me, naa?" Shrayn whispered, making him chuckle.
"Why are you asking now? When we're already married and there's no going back," he huffed, making her look at him instantly.
"I'm asking genuinely, say naa. You were forced, right? You didn't want to marry me?" Shrayn asked again, turning to him.
"Chill, Shrayn. Don't stress your piddhi mind now!" he said, making her scoff.
"And no, it wasn't forced. But maybe we can work it out-if you stop being your kaleshi version who's ready to fight with me every now and then," Arthur joked.
"But on a serious note... do you want a divorce?" Arthur suddenly hit the brakes after hearing her question.
"Shrayn," Arthur pleaded.
"What? I'm asking genuinely. You know, like... this thing between us-I thought about it so much last night, and I don't think it's going to work out, you know? I can talk to Dadu. Even though he said 6 months, I don't think... it's just a waste of time. We should end it-" Shrayn said in a low voice, making him chuckle.
"High on what? Nashe-vashay kar liye hai kya aapne?" Arthur asked playfully, making Shrayn glare at him. (Did you take some kind of drug or what?)
"I'm dead serious, Arthur. Stop joking every time."
"What? You started it first, Sardarni," Arthur shrugged.
"Arthur!" Shrayn hissed, making him press his lips together.
"Okay, so you actually want a divorce without even trying to fix things? It hasn't even been one full month of our marriage! And did we even communicate like a normal husband and wife? Divorce is not the conclusion of miscommunication, you know. Okay, fine-it's both of our mistake that we didn't communicate well like normal couples. It's complicated, I know! But I think it's getting too much-we should talk to each other-" Arthur said maturely, clearing his throat.
"I don't think so-" Shrayn was about to say, but Arthur cut her off.
"As your Dadu said-six months. If it doesn't work, I'll send the divorce papers myself," Arthur said, shrugging.
He himself isn't sure what he wants. Does he like her? No, he hates her! He doesn't hate her... but he hates the fact that his Dadu forced him to marry her. He wasn't ready for marriage, but under pressure, he had to. Even if he wants to divorce her, he can't. Divorce would ruin their reputation. He is a King! Words like divorce don't exist in a Royal family.
Even if she doesn't want to work on their marriage... he has to. He can't back off without trying.
"Well, why did you marry me in the first place, Shrayn?" Arthur asked, starting his car.
