Regine's PoV

"Ilang beses ko bang sasabihin sa'yo na wala akong lalake!" I said while driving. I'm talking to him right now via call, at naiinis na ako because of his accusation that it doesn't make sense.

[Kitang-kita ka sa camera tapos wala kang lalake?! Ginagago mo ba ako, Regine?!]

"Ako? Ginagago kita? Diyos ko naman. We've been together for five years at sa loob ng limang taon na iyon, nagbulag-bulagan ako, nagbingi-bingihan para lang hindi mo 'ko iwan." Yeah, I'm that desperate for love. I'm afraid of being left again.

[What?!]

"Alam mo y'ong nangyari sa akin before we met, don't you?" I said in a low voice, medyo kumalma ako. "But, why are you doing this to me?"

[U-umuwi ka na lang muna, Reg. Let's talk later when you get home.]

I stopped the car and shook my head even though he couldn't see it. "Sorry, but I will not come home to you. I have come to my senses, I know there is nothing like him in this world."

[No, please. Let's talk, babe-]

Bago niya pa matapos ang sasabihin niya, may mabilis na pagliwanag na sa kaliwa. Sa gilid ng paningin ko, may nakita akong headlights, napakalaki at napakaliwanag. Parang apoy na sumusugod tungo sa direksyon ko. Kumakabog ang puso ko, hindi ko ma-start ulit ang sasakyan.

[Babe?]

"I am on the verge of death." Ito lang ang nasabi ko while struggling to restart the car.

[What?!]

Nanginginig ang mga kamay ko, noong nagsawa ako kaka-start ng sasakyan, sinubukan ko namang tanggalin ang lock ng seatbelt ko habang nakatingin sa side mirror ng kotse. Malapit na ang truck sa akin.

[Babe? Are you okay?]

"Sandali-" Before I finish what I have to say, isang malakas na dagundong ang narinig ko.

Nagbukas-sara ang mga mata ko at naririnig ko pa rin ang boses niya sa cellphone ko...

I opened my eyes at bumungad naman sa paningin ko si PJ. I smiled at him.

"Good morning. Rise and shine, darling." He said and kissed me in my forehead.

"I thought you were leaving early?" I said and I sat down and kissed his lips. "Good morning."

He sat down and placed his hand on my waist and caressed it.
