The Dutch girl

"You're home at 6.15?" David asks as I get ready for work. His parents are in town this week and this will be the third or fourth time we will be seeing them in the years mom is dating him.

"I'll try. I'm going to change at work so I'll be ready when I come inside." I tell him.

"Just try to be home before dinner at 6.30."

"I will be home before that, I try to be home around 6.15." I say as I put on my shoes. I grab the heals I'm going to wear tonight from the ground and the bag that has my dress in it.

"Thank you."

"Stop being so stressed out about this. Last time everything went okay."

"You weren't there." He says angry stressed.

"No I know. I didn't want to ruin the night because what happened."

"Sorry, I shouldn't have said that."

"It's okay, I know you're stressed. Just relax, I'll be home. I'll try to leave a couple minutes early, I'm the bosses daughter after all." I say laughing, it all finally sinked in and I've been talking to mom again and even been at a dinner with Luke and Laura.

"Good luck." He says a lot less stressed. I smile at him and walk away with all my stuff I get in my car and drive away.

"T, I need your help." I hear Patricia say. I turn around and see her standing in the doorway of the staff room.

"I can't Patricia I really need to leave." I say as I put on my heals.

"Date night?" She smiles.

"No, my stepdad's parents are here so we're having dinner so I really need to go. Last time didn't go so well and seeing my relationship with him is finally improving I don't want to mess it up."

"I get that." She says.

"Go to Luke and tell him I send you because I really need to go, I'm going to be late." I say. She nods and walks out of the room. I get my bag and walk downstairs.

"You're looking fancy." I hear Stephan say.

"David will kill me if I don't." I say laughing.

"You look hot." He says and gives me a kiss.

"I'll see you tomorrow." I say giving him another kiss.

"See you tomorrow." He smiles.

"I love you." I say walking away. I get in my car and realize what I just said. I shake my head to get out of thought and start my car. I drive home and grab my stuff when I'm home.

"I'm home!" I say as I walk into the house.

"Livingroom honey." Mon says back. I put my bags on the ground in the corner and walk inside.

"Good evening mister and mrs Young." I say greeting David's parents.

"Good evening Tamara, how was work?" His mom asks. I never got their names the few times we spoke.

"Good." I say.

"How are you doing?" His dad asks.

"I'm doing pretty well." I smile.

"Dinner's ready." David says from the kitchen.

"Hey Tamara, you're on time." He says smiling.

"Told you I'll be on time." I say. We get into the dining room and all sit down there.

"Where's Stephan?" Mom asks.

"At work." I say.

"Didn't he want to join?" David asks.
