"Let's go." I say to Freya as we get into the car after school.

"Are you sure he doesn't mind?" She asks putting her seatbelt on.

"I'm sure Frey." I smile at her pressing the button to start the car. She looks very nervous and unsure.

"You've met him before." I laugh as she fidgets with her bracelets.

"I know but this feels different." She mumbles.

"I know, but don't worry, dad wants to be in our lives. He tried to be in mine, he wanted me to know but mom just didn't want me to know."

"I kind of get that. You were so down every time dad cancelled on us so to know he wasn't your dad would probably made it worse."

"Or it would've made me not care. If I knew Jake wasn't my dad I wouldn't have cared so much that he cancelled on us every time."

"True." She mumbles, still fidgeting with her bracelet.

"Look, if you're not ready to talk to him that's okay, he wants to do it all on your schedule, not his, he gets that this is a lot to take in for all of us." I say as I stop at a red light.

"No, I want to talk to him, that's not the problem, the problem is I don't know what to say to him."

"I get that, just go in and see what happens. If you just tell him how your day was that's fine, if you want to ask him questions that's fine too." I tell her.

"Did you also hear Kol and Selene broke up?" Freya asks out of the blue.

"Sorry what?" I ask shocked turning to her. The car behind me honks what makes me turn back to the road and see the lights are green again. I continue driving to the bar where we are meeting Luke.

"Yea, I saw him walking away yesterday and he told me to go talk to Selene if I wanted to know what happened."

"Fuck." I mumble.
"This is bad." I say turning into the parking lot.

"What is it?" She asks as I park the car.

"Nothing, do you mind meeting him alone so I can call Damon and the guys?" I ask.

"What is going on?" She asks panicky.

"I will explain on the way home, please Freya just go in, I'll be a few minutes behind." I say grabbing my phone.

"Fine but you owe me big time." She says.

"Yea sure." I say typing away on my phone. She gets out of the car and I call Damon.

"Yo, wh-"

"Selene and Kol broke up." I say, not even saying hello.

"Oh no, did they?"

"I don't know but the thing she was scared about most could have happened, can you talk to her?" I ask.

"Where are you?"

"At the bar with Freya, she's meeting with dad today, and I was supposed to stay by her side." I say getting out of the car while grabbing my bag.

"Yea sure, I'll call you when I need you."

"Sure, I'll give Jaxon a call as well." I say.

"Cool." He says hanging up. I call Jason and close my door, locking my car.

"Hey."

"Selene and Kol broke up."

"Did they have sex?"

"I don't know but you know she was scared of a break up after."

"I'll talk to her." He says.

"Damon is talking to her as well, I'm meeting dad with Freya so call when you need me or something."
