I sat in that waiting room for hours, rocking back and forth... memories flashing through my mind. I was hanging on to hope for dear life, but I could feel that the rope was about to be cut.

I was trying to forgive him, but I just couldn't find it in my heart to. He killed my lover. My Eternity was gone and it was due to him.

The doctor walked me into the room to see him.

His body laid there, nearly lifeless. He opened his eyes and reached out for me to hold his hand. Tears automatically started to pour.

"I'm sorry Hope"
"I know that you ..."
"Let me finish. I'm sorry. I know that you may never forgive me for what I did. But let me explain ... I saw how Eternity treated you, not giving you the attention you deserved, putting you down... you didn't deserve that. But I knew you wouldn't let go. I had to take matters into my own hands. I just wanted to see you happy."

He was right... I wouldn't let go. Eternity hadn't given me all the love I deserved, but still I wanted him. I grabbed his hand.

"I forgive you..."

Dilemma took his last breath on that late May night.

I returned home with nothing to say, no feelings to feel, no emotions to convey, to only thing I wanted to do was looking at that lying wall. My opportunity had, yet again, failed me and I was the target of all of life's cruel situations.
