I wrote a letter to my mother. I wrote a letter to my father. A letter for my brother. A letter for my friends. Even a letter for Dr. Rowe for trying to help with my emotions. I wrote a letter to everyone I could possibly think about. Then I stepped out of the front door.
I called Journey and Pierce and told them to meet me at the diner. We shared our last slice of Hershey pie together. We laughed, talked, smiled. But I knew that my opportunity was over.
I called Eternity/Dilemma's mother and told her I loved her. I walked to the meadow and sat on the swings one last time. I sung that song of hope one last time. I made my way up to the bridge and stared down at the moonlit water. It seemed to be calling my name. I climbed at on top of the railing, and started counting down.
