Hope Lives On (Beginning of Part 2)

I watched her as she let go of her life. I watched her as she gave everything up and proceeded to end the very thing that made her who she was. Eternity was gone, Dilemma was gone, but Hope... was not. I have not seen Hope in years. After the incident on the bridge a few years ago, Hope was taken away from her family, friends, and acquaintances and was introduced to a whole new way of living. Her parents were told that it was best for Hope and they would move her away and take good care of her, but Pierce and I weren't sure about where she was or how she was doing. The only thing we knew was that 3 years had passed and Hope had not come home, not even to visit and that couldn't be right. Hope was our bestfriend, and even though, at the time, it seemed best for Hope to move and get herself together, it didn't feel right 3 years later. Something had to happen. We needed answers ...

"But, Journey, we don't even know where she is. We don't even know where to begin."

"We've got to find her, Pierce. We've got to! It's been years since we've seen our bestfriend!"

"How are we going to find her? Her MOTHER doesn't even know where she is."

"I have a plan... it's going to be risky, but I think it just might get us to our bestfriend. What do you think?"

"For my bestfriend, I will do anything!"

We hopped in my truck and headed to the detective's office downtown.
