POV Zero?

He was exhausted. Just before dinner, Nezu had contacted him and confirmed what Zero had already known in his heart with the results of the DNA test. Kacchan was right. He was Izuku Midoriya - or rather what was left of the boy with the once radiant smile.

After the principal's call, he had barely been able to concentrate on his homework. Not that he had been able to before. Zero's thoughts kept returning to ruby red eyes and spiky flaxen hair. The way Kacchan and he had rolled across the floor and pushed each other down during the training fight just wouldn't leave his mind.

He had known before how sensitive his wings were, especially at the base, but it had never felt like this when Zero had been touched there. The memory alone made his blood rush to his head. The fight with the blond boy had been different from the previous ones. It had been somehow strangely ... more intimate, if you could call a fight that.

During the conversation outside the gym, Kacchan had remained calm, which had surprised Zero a little. After Kacchan had stormed out of the gym after the fight, most of their classmates had whispered that he probably wouldn't be able to handle the defeat and that he was probably boiling with rage right now.

Apart from the fact that Kacchan had been in a hurry to leave the hall and then the locker room, he hadn't seemed angry. Perhaps there was another reason why he preferred to be alone.Zero himself was glad that Kacchan had kept his distance so quickly. Otherwise he might have realized what was happening to him. The moment Kacchan pushed him down and rubbed against the base of his wing, something had stirred in Zero... Something like that had never happened to him while fighting before. To be exact, his body had only ever shown such reactions sometimes after waking up.

Of course, he was familiar with the concept of love or sexual attraction. After all, he wasn't stupid, on the contrary, but he had never had a moment in his life so far when he had felt anything like that.

Later, when they were standing outside talking, Zero had remained comparatively relaxed. That had only changed once the others had joined them. Mina in particular had rattled him. She had hugged Kacchan from behind and the blond boy had allowed it. So they were very familiar with each other. Zero had wanted to tell her to stop, but he had no right or reason to do so.

Were they a couple? And why had the closeness between them upset him so much? Did he find Kacchan attractive?

Zero listened to his heart, remembering the fight. He was sitting on Kacchan. Kacchan pushed him to the ground. Drops of sweat ran down his slender neck to the collar of his shirt.

A shiver ran down his spine and he felt warm. Zero wouldn't mind experiencing it again. He would have loved to talk to Toshi about it, but not only was he back in the dorms, he also seemed to have a problem with Kacchan. Zero wasn't sure where the tense atmosphere between the boys had come from. Zero hadn't told his brother- Toshi about what he had remembered on the school roof. That couldn't be the reason. Perhaps it was because the stormy greeting had taken Zero so much by surprise and he had run away as a result. His new family had a strong protective instinct towards him.

So he didn't make any progress with his homework. Zero needed a clear head before he could even begin to concentrate. He usually flew at such moments. It had been a few days since he had last been in the air. Zero would love to climb straight out of the window and disappear into the night for a while.

It was hard getting used to no longer being on his own and interacting with other people every day, even as a family. It couldn't be helped. Zero would get bogged down deeper and deeper in the rabbit hole of his thoughts if he didn't break out of it now. He got up and went to the door of his room. The TV sounded from the living room.
