Keigo flew as fast as his wings could take him. When Eraserhead had called him yesterday, he had been on a mission at the other end of the prefecture. Fortunately, he had been able to finish his mission quickly and was now on his way back to Musutafu.

He was worried about Zero. Eraserhead sounded even more serious than usual. Whatever had happened must have been bad. Although Zero had replied to his message this morning, Keigo was far from reassured. The few words had been meaningless. The only thing Keigo had learned from the message was that the boy was alive and conscious.

Perhaps he could convince Eraser to invite him to his home after the meeting so that he could see his little feather in person. It was truly amazing how much the little one meant to him in such a short time. Keigo was anything but lavish with his affection. It was probably because of Tou that he had also taken Zero so much to his heart. His partner had only seen him for a few days during his time with the League before he had supposedly been killed, but that had been enough for Tou to develop a deep liking for him.

The thought of Keigo seeing him at any moment warmed his heart and he flew a little faster. By now he had reached the somewhat run-down part of Musutafu and he was looking for the building where he would meet Tou.

This time he landed on the roof. Without Eraserhead, he could take the shortcut. Keigo entered the abandoned building through the old door on the roof. He had long since removed the chain that had once blocked it. The door jammed a little when Keigo pulled on it. With a suffering squeak, it finally swung open and let him in.

His step was brisk, even if the dust in the air tickled his nose. He was looking forward far too much to the moment when he would finally see Tou again. He carefully climbed down the stairs from the top floor. It was at least as rotten as the stairs leading up from the first floor. Then he knocked three times on the banister.

The answer came immediately. Great, Tou was on time. Keigo hurried to the room whose door was not open and rushed in. There he stood in the run-down room. The man he had longed for far too often, because they had seen each other less and less since Tou's assignment. The man who understood Keigo like no other because they had been through the same treatment through the commission and still did today, who saw behind his cheerful facade and knew the real Keigo, not just Hawks, the number 3 hero.

"Hey," Tou said in greeting with a mild smile on his face.

"Hey yourself," Keigo returned with a grin before rushing towards his partner and throwing his arms around his neck.

It took Tou a moment to regain his balance, but Keigo didn't care. Undeterred, he pressed his lips to Tou's. They were rough - as always - the adjacent skin uneven from the burns, but no less kissable.

Tou carefully pushed him away and parted their lips. Keigo let out an unhappy whine.

"Since when do you fancy an audience, baby? Is this some new kink I haven't met yet?" Tou's voice was raspy. He could hear that he wanted more too, even if he didn't think he could have it.

An excited tremor ran through Keigo at the sound, making even his feathers rustle. "I told Eraser we wouldn't meet for another twenty minutes. If we hurry, we can use the time before then."

Tou's eyes widened. "The coffee junkie isn't here yet?"

"No, so shut up and kiss me!" Keigo gave his partner no time to object and pulled him close again.

This time Tou allowed the touch and returned it greedily. After a few minutes, his caresses shifted to Keigo's neck. He kissed the delicate skin and breathed into his ear. "Then let's not waste a single minute." The words were followed by a bite to the earlobe.
