POV Zero

It was much later than yesterday when Zero pulled open the door to the classroom. The conversations of his classmates fell silent. Everyone in the room looked at him. Zero ducked his head and clutched the strap of his bag tighter. He hurried to his seat, avoiding the piercing stares.

As soon as he arrived at his table next to Toshi and behind Kacchan, he sank into the chair and pulled out his writing materials.

"How are you today? Were you able to sleep?" asked Toshi.

Zero looked up. His brother had turned towards him and moved closer. Kacchan had also turned around in his chair and was obviously listening.

"I'm okay," Zero started. "As for sleeping..." He felt his face grow warm. His eyes met curious rubies, in which the fire seemed to blaze even hotter this morning.

Zero raised his hand and waved gently. "Hi Kacchan."

"Hey," he returned briefly, but not unkindly. How was he supposed to bring up the kiss? Just thinking about it made Zero nervous. Nevertheless, he was anything but averse to repeating it. It had felt so good to be held and kissed by Kacchan.

"What was with the sleeping?" Hitoshi pulled Zero out of his thoughts.

He raised his hands. "I woke up early. Had a stupid dream. To take my mind off it, I went for a run."

"Did it help?" Hitoshi asked.

"It certainly did." Zero's thoughts drifted off again. The fact that Kacchan gave him a knowing smile didn't help his concentration on the conversation with Toshi.

The door closed noisily and all the students looked up. Those who were not yet in their seats hurried to reach them and sit down. Shouta had entered the classroom.

"Good morning."

"Good morning, Aizawa-sensei," the students replied.

The teacher put down his bag and let his gaze wander over the assembled teenagers. Then he lowered his folded arms and sighed. "I'm sure you're all wondering what exactly happened at yesterday's training and how it could have happened."

There was a murmur of agreement.

Shouta activated his quirk. "Be quiet or we'll start class right away."Everyone immediately fell silent.

"Yesterday during training there was a fight between All Might and Zero, and both were injured. We don't know what caused it yet and are investigating. We already have a lead and will follow it up. For the time being, we will ensure that the two do not meet uncontrollably. I would like to emphasize that Zero did not act of his own free will and that he is not to blame for the incident." His gaze wandered over the class until it came to rest on a single boy. Now the teacher looked explicitly at Endeavor's youngest son. "So there's no need for conspiracy theories."

A few of his classmates snickered and Zero couldn't help but wonder why. Clearly there was a back story here that he had no idea about. Todoroki stared back unimpressed, adding to the giggles of some of the students.

Shouta rolled his eyes. "Let's get on with the lesson."

~~~~~
The morning passed uneventfully and most of the time Zero managed to concentrate on the lesson without constantly staring at the back of Kacchan's head and daydreaming. Although, admittedly, he still did that quite often.
