"Good Morning Pon.. slept well?" Sailub softly said as the morning felt amazing, Pon smiled as he nodded while walking down the stairs looking over at Sailub who was watching TV.
"Sai.. I don't feel well." said Pon softly as he sat beside Sailub and pouted hugging him tightly, Sailub pouted hearing how Pon wasn't feeling well.
Sailub's slightly touching Pon's delicate skin made him startled, Pon was burning hot, Pon's body had been adjusted to the new environment and wasn't used to it so he got sick.
Pon was always sick, he never got cured from his illness.
"do you need to go to the hospital hm? you're burning hot!" said Sailub as Pon pouted and shook his head.
"hm.. cuddle.." he said longing for Sailub's cuddle and warmth, Sailub felt bad and frowned hugging Pon tightly while planting a small peck on Pon's forehead.
Sailub gently adjusted Pon in his arms, pulling him closer as Pon's body shivered slightly from the fever.
The warmth from Pon's skin was unmistakable, and Sailub could feel the heat radiating from him as he held him close. The fact that Pon wasn't feeling well, and so desperately sought his comfort, made Sailub's heart tighten with concern.
"Cuddle, hm?" Sailub asked softly, his hand smoothing over Pon's messy hair. He gently placed a kiss on Pon's forehead again, wishing he could somehow make the fever disappear with a touch.
Pon sighed contentedly at the gesture, his arms wrapping around Sailub's waist. "I just want to be with you today," he murmured, his voice hoarse from the fever. "I don't want to leave you."
Sailub felt a twinge of sadness in his chest as he stroked Pon's back, wishing he could take away Pon's discomfort.
He knew Pon had always been sickly, but it hurt him to see Pon so weak, vulnerable in his arms. The idea of Pon struggling with his illness alone, or even worse, being taken away to a hospital where he might feel isolated from him it didn't sit well with Sailub.
"You don't have to go anywhere," Sailub replied gently, brushing a lock of hair from Pon's face. "Just stay here with me. I'll make sure you're comfortable. If we need to get you to the doctor, we will, but for now, just rest."
Pon nodded weakly, a small smile tugging at his lips as he curled closer, burying his face into Sailub's chest. His breathing was slightly labored, but the presence of Sailub, the safety and warmth in his arms, eased some of the discomfort.
Sailub's mind raced with a mix of emotions. He hated seeing Pon in pain. He wanted to be the one to fix everything, to protect Pon from all the things that hurt him, including his health.
It made him question whether the world he had brought Pon into was really the right one for him. Could he keep him safe, happy, and healthy, surrounded by so many dangers, even if they weren't all visible? The weight of responsibility settled heavily on his shoulders.
"I'll get you anything you need, Pon. Tea? Medicine? Or just stay like this, I don't mind," Sailub said, his voice softer than usual as he held Pon tightly.
Pon gave a small, contented sigh and shook his head. "Just stay with me, Sai. I'm okay... when I'm with you."
That simple statement made Sailub's heart skip a beat. Pon trusted him so much, and despite his illness, despite everything they'd been through.
He found solace in Sailub's presence. Sailub could feel the weight of his affection for Pon growing deeper with every moment they spent together, every simple act of care. The overwhelming need to protect Pon from any harm made Sailub's chest tighten. He couldn't imagine a world without Pon in it.
Sailub settled back into the couch, keeping Pon close. "Okay, no leaving my side today. We'll just rest here and take it easy. I won't let anything happen to you."
Pon smiled faintly, his eyelids fluttering as he tried to stay awake. The fever was wearing him down, but the sound of Sailub's soothing voice, the steady beat of his heart, and the warmth of his body slowly calmed Pon's troubled mind.
Minutes passed, and Sailub kept his promise. He held Pon through it all whether it was the fever induced shivers or the quiet, sleepy moments where Pon's head rested against his chest.
Thee two of them simply breathing in sync. Eventually, Pon dozed off in his arms, his breathing deepening, and Sailub couldn't help but stare at him, his mind filled with thoughts of the future.
He was starting to realize just how much Pon had come to mean to him not just as the boy he'd taken in, but as someone he deeply cared for, someone he might even love.
There was no clear answer yet, no grand confession waiting to spill from his lips. But he knew one thing for sure: whatever Pon needed, he'd be there.
Sailub carefully reached over to grab his phone from the table beside them. He needed to check in on some business matters, but he didn't want to disturb Pon, so he kept the phone low, tapping out a quick message to his assistant.
"Cancel all my meetings for 2 days take care of everything. I'm staying home with Pon."
The assistant responded almost immediately. "Understood, Mr. Sailub. Get well soon, Mr. Pon."
Sailub set the phone back down and focused on Pon, who was sleeping peacefully now.
There was a part of him that felt guilty for the life he had dragged Pon into, the pressures, the constant threats from the underworld.
He wanted to shield Pon from it all, give him a peaceful life, one without illness, without danger. But he knew that wasn't something he could promise just yet.
Sailub's fingers lightly traced the outline of Pon's hand, his mind swirling with possibilities. What if he could build a life for them, away from all the chaos? What if he could find a way to keep Pon safe, while still being who he was?
As Pon slept, Sailub made a silent vow to figure it out to create a world where Pon didn't have to worry about his health or the shadows that lingered at the edges of their lives.
For Pon, he would do whatever it took. He would tear down any walls standing in their way, if only to keep Pon in his arms, safe and sound.
"Rest, Pon," Sailub whispered softly, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead. "I'll make sure nothing happens to you. You don't have to worry. I've got you, always."
Sailub held him close, his fingers gently stroking Pon's back as the boy drifted deeper into sleep.
In this quiet moment, Sailub made a silent promise to himself that no matter what, he would never let anything take Pon from him never again.
