The morning light filtered softly through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room.
It had only been a day since Pon gave birth to their beautiful twins, Baby Zai and Baby Pahn.
The room was quieter than usual, filled with the soft sounds of their babies cooing in their cribs and the occasional sound of a gentle sigh escaping Pon's lips.
Sailub sat by Pon's side on the bed, still in disbelief that they were parents now. It felt like a dream.
The reality of the night before still fresh in his mind holding their tiny babies for the first time, feeling that indescribable mix of love, fear, and overwhelming joy.
Pon shifted slightly in bed, his body still sore from the delivery.
He smiled weakly at Sailub, who was gazing at their twins with such awe. "Sai, do you think we're doing this right?" Pon asked softly, his voice still tinged with exhaustion.
Sailub's gaze flicked back to Pon, his face softening with a tenderness that only Pon could bring out of him.
He gently squeezed Pon's hand. "Of course, we are. You're doing amazing, Pon. I'm just trying to keep up," he chuckled softly, rubbing Pon's hand comfortingly.
Pon smiled, his eyes tired but full of love. "I still can't believe we're parents. I thought this day would never come."
Sailub kissed his forehead gently. "It's all real now. We've got our little family. Zai and Pahn. They're everything."
Their twins were peacefully sleeping in their cribs, both wrapped up in soft, pastel-colored blankets. Zai, the older of the two by a few minutes.
Had inherited his father's dark, thick hair and the same steely brown eyes. Baby Pahn, smaller and with a shock of light brown hair, had Pon's delicate features and soft, round face.
They were perfect each one a little piece of both Sailub and Pon.
Pon watched his two children sleep, a soft smile tugging at his lips. "They're so tiny... and fragile," he whispered. "I'm scared I might do something wrong."
Sailub shook his head, his tone reassuring. "Pon, you're already doing everything right. We just need to take it one step at a time. Together."
As if on cue, Baby Zai began to stir, his tiny hands moving restlessly in the air as his small whimpers filled the room.
Pon felt his heart race at the sound. "I think he's hungry," he said, his voice soft but filled with that familiar concern every new parent had.
Sailub, who had been watching the baby intently, was the first to act. He stood up and gently moved to Zai's crib, carefully lifting the baby in his arms. "I've got him," he said, his voice soft and steady.
Pon watched, a mix of admiration and disbelief in his eyes. Sailub had never shown any hesitation when it came to their children, even though this was his first time being a father.
He seemed to know instinctively how to soothe their babies, how to hold them in a way that made them feel safe and loved.
Sailub sat beside Pon, settling Zai carefully in his arms. "Look at him, Pon. He's so tiny, so delicate," Sailub marveled.
Pon nodded, a smile tugging at his lips as he watched Sailub, who was surprisingly calm.
"You're a natural, Sai," Pon whispered, his heart swelling at the sight of Sailub cradling their son. "I'm so proud of you."
Sailub looked over at Pon, his eyes soft with emotion. "I've got you both, Pon. I'll always take care of you. Both of you." His voice was full of sincerity, making Pon's chest tighten with love.
As Zai started to settle, Pon gently lifted Baby Pahn from the crib, carefully supporting his tiny body in his arms.
He was still getting used to holding such a small life, but he found comfort in the warmth and softness of the baby's tiny form.
"And I've got you too," Pon said softly, kissing the top of Pahn's little head. "We're in this together."
The next few hours were a whirlwind of caring for their babies. Sailub and Pon took turns feeding, changing diapers, and soothing their twins as they got used to their new routine.
Pon marveled at how quickly the days seemed to fly by when their hearts were so full.
Each giggle, each coo from their babies felt like a gift one that filled every corner of their home with love and light.
Pon was still sore from the delivery, but with Sailub by his side, the exhaustion didn't feel as overwhelming.
Sailub had insisted that Pon take breaks when he could, while he took care of most of the chores, from preparing meals to keeping the babies content.
Pon couldn't help but smile at how doting Sailub was, always going above and beyond to make sure they were both comfortable.
Later that afternoon, they sat on the couch together, each holding one of the twins in their arms.
Pon rested his head against Sailub's shoulder, feeling a sense of peace wash over him.
The house was quiet except for the soft sounds of their children's breathing and the occasional murmur of conversation between the two of them.
"You know, Sai," Pon began, his voice soft, "I always imagined what it would be like to have a family, but I never expected it to be like this. I never thought it could feel so... complete."
Sailub turned his head to look at Pon, a soft smile on his face. "Yeah, me neither," he replied. "It's a little overwhelming, but in the best way. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world."
Pon smiled up at Sailub, his heart full of gratitude. "I'm glad we're doing this together. I don't think I could've done it without you."
Sailub leaned down, kissing Pon gently on the forehead. "You don't have to. We're a team, Pon. Always."
As the day wore on, the world outside seemed to disappear. It was just them and their little family, their two beautiful babies, and a love that seemed to grow stronger every second. They didn't need anything else in that moment.
This was their life now a life full of late-night feedings, diaper changes, and endless moments of joy. But it was also a life full of love, and that was more than enough.
