The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a golden glow across the bedroom.
The sound of soft cooing filled the room as Pon stirred awake. He blinked slowly, adjusting to the light before turning his head to see Sailub still asleep beside him, his arm protectively draped over Pon's waist.
Pon smiled softly, savoring the peaceful moment between the family he and Sailub built.
In the cribs nearby, Zai and Pahn were starting to stir as well.
Zai, the more energetic of the two, was already standing, gripping the rails and bouncing slightly.
Pahn, always the quieter one, was lying on her back, staring at the ceiling with her big, curious eyes.
Pon carefully slipped out of bed, tucking the blanket around Sailub before padding over to the cribs.
He lifted Zai first, kissing his cheek and earning a giggle in return. "Good morning, little explorer," Pon whispered.
He then picked up Pahn, cradling her gently. "And good morning to you too, my little princess."
The soft rustling woke Sailub, who stretched and blinked at the sight of Pon holding their twins.
His heart swelled with love. "Good morning," he mumbled, his voice rough with sleep.
Pon turned, smiling. "Good morning. Ready to start the day?"
"Always," Sailub replied, getting up to join them.
Sailub smiled as he sat up from the bed, kissing Pon before the two of them went downstairs.
In the kitchen, Pon moved gracefully between tasks, making breakfast while keeping an eye on the twins, who were now seated in their high chairs.
Sailub brewed coffee, the rich aroma filling the air. They worked in sync, a quiet dance of domestic bliss.
"Pancakes today?" Sailub asked, watching as Pon flipped a golden brown pancake onto a plate and saw how Zai looked at them with hearts growing in his eyes.
"Of course. Zai loves them," Pon replied, glancing at his son, who was already reaching for the food.
They sat down together, feeding the twins small bites of fruit and yogurt while enjoying their own meal.
Zai clapped his hands excitedly after each bite, while Pahn quietly savored hers, a small smile playing on her lips.
After breakfast, they moved to the living room. The twins played with their toys, stacking blocks and pushing cars around.
Sailub and Pon lounged on the couch, watching a thriller documentary.
Zai was particularly fascinated by the crime scene and thrilling scenes on the screen, babbling and pointing excitedly, it wasn't suitable for their age yet Zai wanted to be a criminology student probably someday.
"Look at him," Pon chuckled, leaning into Sailub. "He's going to be a police officer one day."
Sailub smiled, wrapping an arm around Pon's shoulders. "And Pahn will be the one who keeps his big brother safe and sound."
Pon laughed, nodding in agreement. They sat in comfortable silence, enjoying the peaceful moment and laughing along with his family happily.
"Let's go out today," Sailub suggested suddenly, breaking the quiet. "How about a trip to the mall?"
Pon's eyes lit up. "That sounds perfect. The twins could use some fresh air."
They packed a bag with essential diapers, bottles, and a change of clothes for the twins before heading out.
