THE CARNIVAL

Today is one of the important days for the Fortnite island! It is the yearly carnival event. Everyone was getting ready to spend their money on sweets, rides and what not. However the word ‘everyone’ doesn’t apply for our two “friends”, who were still preparing themselves.
-”Come on, Snake! We gotta meet up with the rest of the gang in the main square!” said Gojo, as he reluctantly knocked on the bathroom door.
-”Shut up for once! Can’t a man properly shave his beard!?” responded Snake, slightly irritated, as he looked in the mirror and carefully moved the razorblade around his chin and mutton chops.
-”Why the hell are you shaving now!?”  shouted Gojo. “We’re in a hurry!” But Snake didn’t bother to answer. After shaving, he inspected his beard, and whispered:
-”Good enough.”
Snake got out of the bathroom, looking like a dollar store version of Chris Pratt, with a bit of a bigger beard.
-”Kept you waiting, huh?” said Snake, Gojo looked at him annoyed and pulled out his notepad.
-”Three times already...“ murmured Gojo.
-”Don’t worry I won’t stop saying that any time soon.” said Snake with a grin, Gojo looked at him annoyed and went past him in the bathroom.
-”Just get ready already!” said Gojo as he looked through the shelves for his perfume, Snake rolled his eyes and went in the living room, hiding under his box as he got ready. When Gojo returned, Snake was all ready in his usual costume.
-”...You are NOT going dressed like that.” said Gojo looking at him disappointed.
-”Why? I showered! The smell is practically gone!” replied Snake.
-”Because you look like you are there to assassinate someone or something, not have fun.” said Gojo, Snake looked at him then away. 
-”What do you want me to wear then, a pink dress and a heart wand?” said Snake, in a joking manner.
-”No dress will fit your [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]].” replied Gojo and Snake looked at him surprised.
-”Wow, I did not expect you to see that. But since you are all that smart, why don’t you go ahead and give me clothes I should wear then!” said Snake mockingly to which Gojo rolled his eyes and opened his shop inventory. Snake walked up to him and looked at what he was looking. He was scrolling through shirts and Snake noticed a flannel and stopped Gojo from scrolling.
-”There, that could work with a black tee..” said Snake, Gojo nodded and saved, searching for a black tee and saving it as well. They then looked through the pants section. As they were looking Gojo noticed some black cargo pants, pressing on them to check.
-”Would you like these?” asked Gojo.
-”Yeah, that’d do.” replied Snake, Gojo saved the pants as well. He then scanned Snake and ordered them on his side, immediately arriving at his door. Gojo picked up the package and gave it to Snake.
-”Here, now go get dressed, we don’t have all day!” said Gojo, turning around.
-”Geez alright...“ replied Snake as he took off his costume and started getting dressed, Gojo looked with the edge of his eyes to see if he was done and couldn’t help but notice the well defined muscles. He quickly looked back and checked his phone.
-”Hmmm DOOM said that Mizuki and Hope have completely abandoned him and the others.” said Gojo, Snake finished getting ready.
-”I would abandone DOOM too, in a heartbeat even! Also how do I look?” replied Snake.
-”Wow, rude!” said Gojo before turning around to look at Snake. “Autistic enough.” said Gojo as he looked at Snake.
-”That doesn’t help me at all.” replied Snake to which Gojo chuckled.
-”Sorry, you look great!” said Gojo.
-”Thanks.” responded Snake. “Let’s get going now.”walking out the house and towards the rift on his Island.
-”Yeah, yeah. Fine” said Gojo, following him behind. He set the coordinates to the Main Creative Square and teleported with Snake.
Once they got there everything was loud and colourful, Snake couldn’t help but cover his ears and close his eyes.
-”Argh! Geez! Why is this place like this!” said Snake frustrated as he opened his eyes and looked around.
-”It’s a carnival, duh!” said Gojo “Here, have my glasses...“, he took off his glasses and placed them on Snake’s nose. Snake took his hands off his ears and fixed his glasses, he looked around, noticing how through Gojo’s glasses it all seemed like it was night time.
-”Thanks..” replied Snake.
-”Yeah, no problem! I can’t help you with the loud noises, you’ll have to get used to it... Now let’s go look for DOOM and Omni Man.” said Gojo before checking his phone then walking around, Snake followed him behind, looking at the different activities that there were as well as the people.
As they walked around Snake noticed Hybrid trying his best to win a girl a reward. He chuckled a bit at his failed attempts as he kept following Gojo around. They eventually got to DOOM and Omni Man. DOOM happily waved at Gojo and Gojo back at him. Snake rolled his eyes and stayed behind Gojo.
-”DOOM! Hey! How have you been feeling?” asked Gojo with his usual silly and warm smile.
-”Ah! Gojo! DOOM has never been better! DOOM is very glad to see you coming around tonight!” said DOOM, hugging Gojo tight then looking at Snake threatening. Snake looked away annoyed and Omni Man noticed. DOOM let go of Gojo but kept one of his hands on his waist.
-”Gojo, why don’t we hang around, just the two of us..” asked DOOM to which Omni Man immediately replied.
-”DOOM, I believe we came here together to hang together. Not go separate ways.” said Omni Man, Snake looked at him then at DOOM and nodded in approval.
-”Fine. But DOOM won’t tolerate any misbehaving attitude!” replied DOOM while looking straight at Snake, Gojo sighed and looked at Snake somewhat pitiful.
-”I assure you nobody will misbehave!” replied Snake.
-”Good, now where shall we go?” asked Gojo, trying to change the subject whilst also sliping from DOOM’s grip.
-”How about we go play table hockey? That’s DOOM’s favourite arcade game!” replied DOOM, Snake couldn’t help but get more and more annoyed which each passing second spent with DOOM.
-”Sure! After that we could go karting! Snake, Omni man, you should come up with suggestions too!” said Gojo, looking at Omni man and Snake.
-”We should all hang ourselves along the Tower Bridge, like Christmas decorations.” said Snake before forcing a smile with all his teeth showing.
-”Shhhhh Snaky, death isn’t an option on this one!” replied Gojo as he covered Snake’s mouth. Snake grunted and rolled his eyes.
-”I believe after we are done with karting we could go eat something then go try to win a prize at those rigged games.” said Omni man.
-”Yeah that’s great! I guess we will leave it like this until Snake comes up with something not unaliving related!” replied Gojo before taking his hand away.
-”Very well then! Let’s get going!” said DOOM, as the whole gang goes over to the table hockey arena.
Once they get there they first go against each other, Omni Man being in first place score wise and DOOM immediately following behind him. Snake was behind DOOM by 10 points while Gojo barely had any.
-”It’s not fair.. You guys always beat me!” said Gojo with his usual whiny voice.
-”Apologise, would you like to make teams? You can be in the same team as DOOM!” said DOOM happily.
-”Hey! Why does he always have to be in the same team as you?” said Snake, annoyed.
-”Something of matter?” asked DOOM while looking slightly mad at Snake. Omni man clears his throat.
-”Both of you, enough. I will be playing with Gojo because I have the highest score, therefore it’d be only fair if the one with the lowest score plays with the one with the highest score!” explained Omni man.
-”Ugh, fine.” said DOOM.
They got in teams and started playing against each other. As the rounds passed Gojo reached second place, neither Snake nor DOOM made any progress however since instead of fighting against the opposite team they were fighting against one another. They eventually use all their tokens, the score being Omni man, Gojo, Snake and DOOM.
-”Yay! This was fun! Thanks Omni man!” said Gojo happily.
-”No need to thank me!” replied Omni man with a smile. Snake and DOOM looked at each other frustrated.
-”It’s all your fault!” said DOOM.
-”Wow, thanks! You are so quick to blame!” replied Snake, annoyed as he reached in his pocket for his cigarette and lighter, lighting it up and smoking. Both Gojo and Omni man looked at them, unsure of what to say or do.
-”Well... Onto the next objective!” said Gojo, smiling slightly and trying to distract them from each other.
-”Yeah.. Let’s get going!” replied DOOM, walking towards the karting arena. Omni man followed behind him but Snake stood still. Gojo walked up to Snake and sighed.
-”Why do you two feel the need to hate each other so much...?” asked Gojo, looking at Snake slightly worried.
-”Well I didn’t hate him until the welcoming party. And trust me, he made it obvious he doesn’t want me around him or this place or you even!” said Snake frustrated as he started walking towards the arena, Gojo immediately following up.
-”Alright.. Fair enough..” replied Gojo quietly as he kept walking behind him. As they walked towards the arena Gojo spotted Mizuki with Hope. Gojo stopped and grabbed Snake by his flannel, pulling him in a bush.
-”GOJO! What’s wrong-” said Snake, annoyed but Gojo quickly hushed him and pointed at Mizuki and Hope. Snake looked at them, then back at Gojo, and raised his shoulders in a confused manner. Gojo gestured to keep looking. Snake rolled his eyes and kept looking, they seemed to be quite chatty as they both got closer to one another. Mizuki then pulled Hope close, showering her in kisses, Gojo looked shocked, opening his mouth and Snake just looked awkward.
-”They are so lebanese...“ whispered Gojo.
-”..Uh, yeah.” replied Snake with a quiet voice, he looked away unsure of what else to say.
-”... sorry it’s just... You don’t see couples kissing too much in public... let alone women with other women...“ whispered Gojo, looking away embarrassed.
-”Yeah. I get you.. I will leave, it feels wrong.” said Snake as he got up and walked towards the arena once again, Gojo nodded and followed behind him, still looking at Hope and Mizuki feeling somewhat ashamed.
They eventually get to the arena.
-”Watch me do it again.” whispered Snake to Gojo before walking up to Omni man and DOOM who were waiting in line. “Kept you waiting, huh?” Gojo rolled his eyes before chuckling slightly.
-”Not really, the line is huge and if anything the line kept us waiting.” responded DOOM with a serious voice, Snake looked away annoyed.
-”How much longer until we get in?” asked Gojo.
-”Well it’s just the 2 people in front of us so I’d say 20 minutes since they go together.” explained Omni man.
-”Ah that’s not that bad!” said Gojo to which Omni man nodded.
As the 20 minutes passed it was finally their turn. They each got in a kart, putting on their belts. As soon as the light turned green Snake immediately took over, driving without any problem through the obstacles, Omni man and Gojo immediately following behind, both fighting for the second place while DOOM was struggling to keep up with them.
Throughout the three laps both Omni man and Gojo were slowly catching up on Snake but always falling to actually reach him. They eventually finish with Snake being on the first place, Gojo on the second and Omni man immediately following after him on third place while DOOM on the forth.
-”Wow Snake, I never knew you were such a good driver!” said Gojo as he walked up to him.
-”Practice.“ replied Snake, lighting up a cigarette.
-”I have to admit, I never expected to actually struggle to beat you, Gojo.” said Omni man, walking up to them, DOOM following after him.
-”I love driving, I just never get behind a wheel during games because I end up blowing up the car!” said Gojo with his usual silly voice.
-”Ah. Makes sense.” replied Omni man.
-”Whatever, DOOM believes the next objective is food, right?” asked DOOM.
-”If you’re hungry, maybe we should go for some food, I heard there was a food court nearby.” said Gojo, the group followed him to the food court.
-”Alright, pick your desired foods, then we’ll meet up at a table nearby.” said DOOM.
Everyone split up, leaving Snake confused. He looked around the food places, some having insane decorations outside, some not. As he was looking around, a voice called out for him.
-”Hello, big boss! Do you want a fresh, healthy kebab? 50 V-Bucks for you, extra large!” shouted the kebab man, Snake feeling taken to him by force. The words ‘big boss’ caught his attention like never before.
-”A... kebab?? Is it even good for you?” asked Snake, the kebab man felt a bit offended by his question.
-”Of course it’s good! It’s an authentic dish where I’m from! Shredded chicken, pork or cow meat on a tortilla with french fries, vegetables and special kebab sauce™! I’ll make you one with everything, extra large, 50 V-Bucks. How does it sound?” said the kebab man as he started working on Snake’s food. Snake didn’t even get the chance to say a word, instead he just watched the man do his work. The smell made his stomach growl and the way the kebab was looking on the posters made him hungry like a wolf.
Soon enough the kebab man was done and Snake finally put his hands on the kebab. He paid the man extra for the generosity.
-”Enjoy your meal, big boss!” said the kebab man to Snake, he nodded at the man then started walking towards the place they were supposed to meet. He was the first there so he took a seat at one of the tables and inspected his kebab. It was full with all sorts of ingredients. The meat smelled nice and there was a lot of sauce. The kebab man really didn’t hold back while making this one. Snake took a bite and the taste was like no other. Soon enough he finished his whole meal without his friends coming back. He was left with nothing but sorrow since his kebab was done, but its taste was so good, he wanted to get another one. However the moment he stood up a hand was placed on his shoulder.
-”Kept you waiting, huh?” said Gojo trying to imitate Snake’s deep voice. Snake turned around and looked at him chuckling.
-”Maybe one day you’ll be able to copy my deep voice, until then.. Don’t try it anymore.” replied Snake with a slight smile.
-”Yeah yeah.. Sorry it took so long... didn’t know the line for udon was going to be that big!” said Gojo taking a seat across from Snake and Snake sitting back down.
-”Is that so..” said Snake looking at him before looking away.
-”Yeah..” said Gojo before beginning to slurp on his noodles. He then looked at Snake and gestured if he wanted to try but Snake shook his head. Snake looked around and spotted both Omni man and DOOM coming towards them with their meals.
-”Ah, it appears there’s a spot for DOOM next to you, Gojo.” said DOOM as he sat down, Gojo choked a bit from the discomfort but brushed it off as a cough. Snake noticed but didn't say anything.
-”Y-yeah.. You can sit next to me..” said Gojo as he kept eating. Both DOOM and Omni man began eating while Snake was looking around. After a short bit, Snake stood up, everyone looked at him confused.
-”Something wrong...?” asked Gojo.
-”No.. I just need to go to the toilet...“ replied Snake before rushing to the toilet, they all looked at each other then shrugged off and continued eating.
As soon as Snake got to the toilet he didn’t go inside it instead he went behind it and hid in a bush, he took off Gojo’s glasses then put on his thermo goggles, he looked back at the food court and noticed that behind one of the food court there were a bunch of people acting suspicious.
-”Bingo.” whispered Snake as he kept watching through the goggles. The second he got more focused he felt a tap on his shoulder. Snake shivered and turned around, quickly pulling his gun out, pointing it at Mizuki.
-”Snake! Calm down! It’s just me and Hope...” said Mizuki, Snake exhaled and put his gun away.
-”Sorry. I just had a deja vu and I couldn’t help but check it out for myself. Lo and behold there are people transporting things behind the food courts...“ said Snake, giving Mizuki and Hope the goggles before putting on his glasses again. Both Mizuki and Hope look through them shocked.
-”Ah [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]].. That’s not good... Me and Mizuki knew something was up the moment we started acting out from the usual.. I mean after we kissed we couldn’t interact with anything or anyone.. It was like this whole place was programmed or something..” explained Hope, Snake looked shocked, thinking about the things that occurred today in case something unusual happened.
-”Hmm.. Odd.. the only thing I could say that triggered me was the loud noises and bright colours..” said Snake.
-”Bright colours..? It’s the middle of the night...“ replied Mizuki confused, Snake felt a shiver run down his spine.
-”Ah..” murmured Snake.
-”Wait, I think I can figure something out but Snake you have to trust me!” said Hope.
-”With what?” asked Snake, somewhat more unsure than before.
-”Not a lot of people know this but I have the power to see through people’s eyes.. Let me see through your eyes, maybe I can figure out something.” replied Hop, Snake sighed.
-”Alright..” replied Snake, Hope sat down on the grass and Snake with his back facing her. Mizuki looked around making sure nobody would notice them, Hope started saying spells under her breath as she slowly ran her hands from Snake’s neck up his head, placing her hands on his temples. Soon enough she had control over Snake’s view.
-”Take your glasses off.” said Hope in Snake’s mind and he did as she told him, the second he did that Hope gasped, noticing the bright colours that were hiding all the errors and bugs in the sky. Everything looked abnormal, the sky, certain people were glitching and bugging out and the sky was broken, having empty gaps of code break through it. Hope immediately broke connections.
-” Holy [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]], Snake! You are seeing the reality behind this whole carnival!” explained Hope, shocked, Snake rubbed his eyes then put his glasses back on.
-”Yes, I figured it out, but I thought it was a bug which is why I didn’t question it and kept wearing Gojo’s glasses..” replied Snake.
-”Fair, I wonder if Gojo can see all this..” asked Hope.
-”He didn’t seem bothered when he took off his glasses so I guess not..” replied Snake.
-”Okay, well, Snake you should probably return so they won’t wonder why you haven’t returned, me and Mizuki still got some things we want to try around here before this thing crashes, I will send Jones and the rest of the team to check the abnormality of this place!” explained Hope before she got up, cleaning her skirt.
-”Later, Snake!” said Mizuki before grabbing Hope’s hand and walking away.
-”Bye..” said Snake, he sighed and stood up. He walked back to where his group was but they were nowhere to be found so he decided to walk around the last spot they had planned. Everything was loud, people shouting to try and attract customers as well as screams from either excitement or sorrow.
-”Hey you! Big guy! Why don’t you try your skills?” said one of the owners towards Snake, he looked at him and walked up to the booth.
-”Skills for what?” asked Snake.
-”Shooting! Obviously!” replied the owner.
-”Shooting, huh?” said Snake, he looked next to him, noticing a girl struggling to hit the target then looked back at the owner. ”Yeah, why not.”
-”Very well!” said the owner, activating the gun in front of Snake. He paid him then took the gun, shooting all the targets and not missing one. The girl next to him looked at him shocked and somewhat disappointed. Once the time was up Snake placed the gun back and looked at the girl proudly.
-”...ew... Have you tried having an actual hobby and fun?” said the girl to Snake before leaving, he looked at her leaving then back at the owner slightly annoyed.
-”Impressing girls isn’t your strong point, huh, big guy.” said the owner before laughing.
-”Shut the [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] up.” said Snake before leaving the booth and looking at what other owners have.
He came upon multiple challenges, succeeding most of them and purposefully losing some of them to have ‘fun’ but he never managed to impress any girl, most of them finding him weird or sad. Snake walked away from all the chaos to a more quiet place to smoke, there he found Gojo peacefully eating his sweets.
-”Gojo?” asked Snake, Gojo turned around and looked at him, his mouth full with cotton candy.
-”Snaky? What are you doing here?” asked Gojo with his mouth full, Snake walked up to him and sat down next to him.
-”Came for fresh air... Also.. Do you see the glitches and stuff around here?” asked Snake looking at Gojo who was still eating his cotton candy.
-”I’ll tell you what Snaky.. I see more than just the glitches, I see who programmed them, every creature has their own way of marking their art work.. But if you talk about the code in the sky and all the abnormalities, yes, I see them, I’ve been seeing them since day one.” explained Gojo as he kept eating his cotton candy.
-”And you didn’t say anything!?” asked Snake.
-”I was told not to, when I first told them they told me it’s their way of manifesting curses... Back in my reality curses were considered like some weird looking demons, all based on what the person had problems with. I was exercising those so I thought it’d be the same here until I got stuck in a glitch and they hardly got me out of there. I still have some code issues from that but I learnt to live with it.. The second time I told them they said that they’d kill me and break my code if I dared tell anyone about it or even talk about it.” replied Gojo, Snake looked at him surprised.
-”Then why are you telling me now?” asked Snake.
-”Because right now we are in a weak point of this universe, a point where the creatures can’t reach us. It’s also unstable, meaning if you die here you either die forever or turn into some sort of glitch mutation...“ explained Gojo as he finished his cotton candy. “Awh.. my cotton... oh well onto the next sweet stuff..” murmured Gojo under his breath.
-”Ah, and how come only you and I can see it.. Or why can’t Mizuki or Hope see these..?” asked Snake thoughtfully.
-”They are code made, they are programs who shouldn’t be allowed to see these. We are not from this universe.. Plus my six eyes allow me to see far beyond what any normal human eye can see, why do you think my eyes are glowing and why do you think I cover them with glasses or blindfolds.” explained Gojo, eating his candies.
-”I dunno, I thought you ate a flashlight and it got inside your eye socket.” said Snake before forcing a smile with all his teeth showing, again. Gojo looked at him and laughed.
-”Buddy, this isn’t Spongebob!” said Gojo between chuckles and Snake chuckled a bit as well.
-”Yeah.. Well what now?” asked Snake, finishing his cigarette.
-”Act normal and enjoy this ‘carnival’ until it lasts” replied Gojo.
-”Fair..” said Snake, getting up, Gojo picked up his sweets and stood up as well.
-”I haven’t gotten on the ferris wheel yet.. Would you like to come with me?” asked Gojo.
-”Sure I guess. I think that’s my last stop too, I don’t really want to go around this place anymore.” replied Snake.
-”Fair.” said Gojo as he started walking towards the ferris wheel, Snake following behind him.
They get in the ferris wheel and they ride up till the top where everything could be seen.
-”The view must be nice with the glasses on..” said Gojo, looking down.
-”..could’ve been better..” replied Snake.
They stay in silence, looking down and noticing how small everyone was yet big enough to be recognised.
-”Hm.. I saw you trying to win girls more than prizes..” said Gojo with his cocky tone, Snake sighed.
-”Yeah, they all called me weird and lonely.” replied Snake frustrated.
-”Pffft.. You do seem lonely and weird most of the time.. Can’t blame them!” said Gojo between chuckles as he looked at Snake.
-”Don’t patronize me.” replied Snake, looking at Gojo.
-”Geez alright, calm your tits. ... Why are you so desperate to find someone anyway?” asked Gojo, Snake was taken aback a bit but thought for a moment.
-”Mainly because I don’t want to end up lonely I guess, plus I’m not looking for a one night stand chick, I’m looking for someone strong with courage.. Like one of the people back in my universe..” replied Snake, crossing his arms and leaning back against the couch. He looked down, thoughtful.
-”Hm, I get you in some way.. But I never really believed in love. Mainly because most people weren’t in love with ‘me’ but rather the benefits of having me... No woman wanted me for myself, they wanted me for my money and my strength. ... He.. he was the only one close to caring about me..” said Gojo, looking away.
-”That Suguru guy?” asked Snake, looking at Gojo.
-”Yeah... I cared for him, and I could’ve sworn there was something more about it.. But he chose his own path... and I chose mine.. I changed what I could for the future generations.. But I never cared about myself anymore all that much, nor did I care about love..” replied Gojo.
-”Hm.. I know how you feel... betrayal is a pain in the [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] but as long as you find something to believe in there will always be a tomorrow.. Even if the odds don’t make it look like it..” said Snake, Gojo sighed and looked at him.
-”Yeah, I guess you are right, thank you Snake, for being a great friend... I’m sure someone will see you past all this ‘weirdness’ they talk about and love you for who you are.” replied Gojo, smiling softly.
-”Yeah, I hope so..” said Snake, looking away and smiling with the end of his mouth.
As the wheel started slowly making its way down an explosion went off. Immediately followed by three more around the food area.
-”[[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]!” said both of them.
The wheel stopped functioning as explosions after explosions started going off, breaking the world apart.
-”Ah [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]! This can’t be good!” said Gojo, getting up from his chair and looking for a way to break the door.
-”Damn it! I knew I should’ve checked the place out myself and not Hope and Mizuki handle it!” said Snake, as he kicked on the door. After a few kicks, Snake forced the door open and almost fell but Gojo quickly caught him by his hand.
-”Geez you are heavy..” said Gojo, acting like he was struggling to pull Snake back but then quickly pulled him back. “Nah, just kidding! Are you okay?”
-”Yeah. Thanks.” replied Snake.
-”Good. Because we are jumping!” said Gojo with a straight face.
-”What.” replied Snake confused but before he could process any further Gojo grabbed his hand and jumped out the cabin, Snake looked for a way to ease his fall but before he knew Gojo was floating, holding onto Snake.
-”You really thought I was going to jump just like that?” asked Gojo between chuckles.
-”You are dumb enough to do something like that and I’m not willing to try my luck with you..” replied Snake, annoyed.
-”Geez I get it, you have trust issues but you need to learn to trust me!” said Gojo jokingly.
-”Yeah, whatever, now get me down from here. We don’t have time!” said Snake as another explosion went off. Gojo noticed and then looked around to see if there’s a way out. He saw one and it seemed like everyone was evacuating so he slowly dropped down until Snake’s feet reached the ground.
-”Snake. I will go check if everyone evacuated, leave this place as soon as possible!” said Gojo as he started floating up again but Snake grabbed his foot and stopped him.
-”To hell if you think I’d leave without you!” replied Snake pulling Gojo down.
-”Snake! I saw people, go to the exit and wait there in case I won’t make it in time!” said Gojo, annoyed as another explosion went off, this time closer to them, causing Snake to lose balance and fall.
-”Damn, fine then! Just make sure you’ll be back in time!” said Snake before getting up, Gojo nodded then immediately floated away, leaving Snake all by himself.
Snake started walking towards the exit, as he went around the place he could see even through the glasses the codes and ruined patches of matter. He went past the food court noticing how nobody was there until he heard the grunts of a man, he looked around and noticed the kebab man who was stuck under a piece of debris, Snake immediately rushed to him, pushing everything off of him.
-”Are you alright?” asked Snake, helping him get up, he grunted and Snake immediately noticed his broken leg.
-”Big boss! Oh geez, no, kebab powers cannot save this. Go away, without me, I’m too slow..” said the kebab man, Snake didn’t care, instead, he crouched in front of him.
-”Hop on my back, I’ll carry you!” said Snake, the kebab man didn’t know what to do so he accepted and hopped on Snake’s back. Snake grabbed his legs and rushed towards the exit.
On his way to the exit, he noticed different glitches and broken codes lurking around, Snake noticed and looked for a way out. Kebab man noticed and started searching through his pockets, eventually he found a flashbang and handed it to Snake.
-”How the [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] do you have a flashbang on you..” asked Snake before picking it up.
-”Never question the ways of the kebab man, big boss, just use it wisely.” replied kebab man. Snake shrugged, threw the flashbang, blinding the monster codes then grabbing onto the kebab man and making his way to his exit, finally leaving the world. Once he got out he was welcomed by different people all with individual injuries. Snake carefully placed down kebab man on a spare bed and started looking around for anyone he knew.
-”Mizuki, Hope, Omni man, anyone?” asked Snake as he walked around.
-”Over here!” said DOOM, gesturing to the bed he was laying in. Snake looked at him then away.
-”...Anyone else?” asked Snake, looking around, he eventually noticed Hope sitting next to a bed and he walked up to her.
-”Hope. What happened!?” asked Snake, looking down at the bed he noticed Mizuki unconscious and injured, her mouth especially had a scar.
-”... terrorist attack.. She sacrificed herself to protect me...“ replied Hope quietly.
-”Ah, I’m sorry to hear that..” said Snake.
-”It’s okay, we evacuated most of the people there.. The rift should end in 2 minutes, erasing everything on that Island.” explained Hope, Snake looked shocked.
-”..2 minutes.. But Gojo is still inside...“ said Snake, Hope looked at him shocked.
-”WHAT THE [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]!? WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME EARLIER! OH NO, OH NO, OH NO! AND THERE’S NO WAY OF GOING BACK!” said Hope as she started panicking, Snake noticed and grabbed her, making her look at him.
-”Hope! Calm down! Now there’s no time to panic, I’m sure there’s a way of alerting him..” said Snake but Hope shook her head.
-”No.. There’s not.. Jones cut all connections to the Island... All we can do is pray he returns in time... “ explained Hope, Snake looked away at the rift he came through, noticing how more and more people came from it.
-”...If the people keep coming I’m sure he will too..” replied Snake, Hope noticed the people and immediately left, ordering the people who weren’t injured to help those who come through. Snake sighed and took off his glasses, putting them away in his pocket and walking up to the rift, waiting for Gojo while looking at the timer above, 51 seconds left.
With each passing second Snake could feel his anxiety rising, noticing how people kept coming every 2 seconds but still no signs of Gojo. After 20 seconds people stopped coming and Snake expected Gojo to come soon but the timer kept passing and no signs of Gojo.
-”10 seconds... 9... 8... 7... 6...“ said Snake, counting the seconds. Before he could turn over and walk away Gojo finally came through, feeling his energy shivering down his spine. Snake turned around noticing Gojo sweating and covered in what seemed like a magenta and black pattern all over his clothes.
-”2 minutes huh.. Not so bad..” said Gojo with a cocky tone. The rift behind him closing, Snake turned around and looked at Gojo mad.
-”YOU [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]!” screamed Snake grabbing Gojo by his shoulders and shaking him really hard to which Gojo chuckled.
-”Awh Snaky, I missed you too!” replied Gojo between chuckles.
-”Don’t you EVER do that again!” said Snake looking at him mad but slightly worried, Gojo noticed and looked at him more seriously.
-”Ah.. Sorry.. Didn’t mean to worry you..” replied Gojo with a quiet voice. Snake noticed and sighed.
-”It’s okay... just.. Don’t do that again..” said Snake, letting go of Gojo and pulling back, looking away, Gojo looked at him.
-”My glasses.. Where are they?” asked Gojo, Snake looked at him.
-”I broke them and lost them on my way out..” replied Snake, crossing his arms. “I’ll get you a new pair, no point in crying over spilled milk.”
-”Ah.. Okay, thank you..” said Gojo, smiling slightly.
Hope noticed Gojo returning and rushed to him.
-”Gojo! Geez! Are you alright? Are you injured?” asked Hope worried.
-”Injured? Are you kidding me! I’m the strongest!” replied Gojo with his cocky tone, chuckling and smiling. Snake noticed but didn’t say anything about it.
-”Thank god... DON’T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN!” replied Hope to which Gojo grunted and rolled his eyes.
-”Is the whole server going to school me now!? Give me a break already!” said Gojo, annoyed. Hope looked at him speechless then cleared his throat.
-”Sorry... you can go home if you want..” said Hope.
-”Alright, I’m too tired for this.. Goodbye Hope!” said Gojo before teleporting then Snake immediately teleporting after him.
Once they were home Snake went in the kitchen, he opened the fridge and noticed there was only one beer left, he sighed and picked up, opening it and going in the living room. He sat down, lit his cigarette and began drinking and smoking, practising his hobby. While Gojo was showering, Snake checked his box, he noticed the blanket was still there so he hid the glasses under the blanket. After a short while Gojo came in the living wearing his pyjama shorts, his scar clear on his stomach. Snake noticed then looked away.
-”Not the prettiest scar I’d say.. I thought scars weren’t a thing in this game..” said Snake before drinking.
-”They aren’t in spots where your skin is obvious in the game...“ explained Gojo, leaning against the couch and exhaling from exhaustion.
-”Fair..” murmured Snake.
-”... where are you sleeping tonight?” asked Gojo, looking at Snake, Snake looked away, refusing to make eye contact.
-”In the living room... in the box...“ replied Snake quietly. Gojo looked at him mad and disappointed.
-”Go shower. I’ll make you a room in the meantime.” said Gojo, getting up from the couch and pulling out his phone.
-”Meh, not now..” replied Snake as he took another sip. Gojo looked at him mad to which Snake sighed and rolled his eyes. “Fine!” said Snake, quickly finishing his beer and cigarette then getting up and going to the bathroom. Whilst Snake was showering, Gojo quickly selected a premade room and decorated it to what Snake might like.
Once Snake returned he walked up to Gojo, who was in front of a door that hadn't been there before.
-”I’m guessing that’s my room?” asked Snake.
-”Yes, I also bought you clothes so stop wearing that damn spandex costume!” replied Gojo and Snake mimicked him talking with his hand.
-”Yeah yeah.” said Snake before walking inside the room, he looked around, noticing the lack of crazy colours and actually being limited to two colours, both being dark and cold.
-”Nice.” said Snake before walking out of the room and into the living room, picking up his box with the blanket inside it and throwing it in his room.
-”Well.. Have fun with your new room I guess.. I’ll go to sleep.. Night night [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]].” said Gojo before leaving the room.
-”Night.” replied Snake, he quickly dried himself then got dressed, he then laid down in his bed, looking up at the ceiling thinking about today and his failed attempts to pull anyone. As his thoughts kept running through his mind, he eventually ended up thinking about Gojo, he looked at the box and pulled the glasses out from under the blanket. He looked at them then placed them in his inventory where nobody could reach them.
-”[[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]” murmured Snake before rolling over on one side, covering himself under the blanket. “Like I am any better...“ murmured as he fell in a deep slumber.
