CHAPTER 4.8

First rule of Fight Club

Now that Raiden was finally back, him and the students were back to their usual program of silliness. Raiden was in the kitchen enjoying his coffee with Megumi, who was busy reading the news.

-"Have you heard? They plan on restoring an old map.." said Megumi, Raiden looked at him.

-"Old map?" asked Raiden.

-"Yeah, apparently Midas ruined this one too much and they plan on restoring an older map." explained Megumi.

-"Sounds.. Kinda lazy, but understandable. He was one mean peanut." replied Raiden.

-"...you know you can swear, right..?" asked Megumi.

-"...yeah.. But you know.. I just want to keep things family friendly.." replied Raiden. Megumi looked at him, unsurprised.

-"I know you are lying." said Megumi. Raiden sighed and looked down defeated. Before he could reply, Yuji and Nobara bursted in the kitchen full of energy.

-"HEY GUYS!!" said both Yuji and Nobara.

-"Morning." said Megumi before resuming reading the news. Yuji noticed and grunted, walking behind him and shaking him.

-"Meeeeeeeeguuuuuuuuuuuumiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii stop ignoring usssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss" whined Yuji.

-"Leeeaaavee meee allooneee!" replied Megumi whilst being shaken by Yuji, making his sentence sound scrawly. Raiden chuckled and Nobara pulled out her phone, taking a picture of them while giggling.

-"But Megumiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" continued Yuji, this time, a bit slower. Megumi got irritated.

-"I said leave me alone!" snapped Megumi, summoning the divine dogs, who immediately jumped on Yuji. Yuji laughed and began petting the dogs.

-"Woaaaaaaaaaaah hello there, silly fluff balls!" said Yuji, trying to get the dogs off him. The dogs began licking Yuji's face, excited.

-"Megumi! Help! Get them off! They're too... affectionate and adorable!" said Yuji, his sentences being stopped by the dogs' licks.

-"...will you apologise and leave me alone?" asked Megumi.

-"YES! YES! PLEASE! I'M SORRY!" screamed Yuji. Megumi nodded and snapped his fingers, causing the dogs to get off of Yuji. Raiden gestured for the dogs to come at him, causing them both to come. Yuji gasped and got up.

-"That was nice, anyway. What should we make for breakfast?" asked Yuji.

-"Let's make some pancakes! My wife taught me a great recipe for banana pancakes." replied Raiden, leaving the dogs alone. The students looked at him a bit skeptical.

-"...your what? ...wife?" asked Nobara.

-"..yeah, my wife." replied Raiden.

-"..ok.." murmured Megumi.

-"...I think I will just go start making the pancakes..." said Raiden, getting up and preparing the ingredients for the batter. The students watched him skeptically.

-"..is this guy actually married..?" murmured Yuji.

-"I guess..?" replied Megumi.

-"But he doesn't have a ring.." murmured Nobara.

-"Does platonic marriage exist??" asked Yuji, quietly.

-"I don't know.. Do Sensei and Snake count?" whispered Nobara.
