CHAPTER 2.6
The three musketeers and an old hag.

It was a quiet day, Gojo was nowhere to be found around the house, leaving Snake all by himself. He figured Gojo won’t be coming home any time soon from the letter he left on the counter that read “Busy today, good luck baby girl”. Snake didn’t mind the quietness, in fact he used this moment to do his usual work out routine.
As he was finishing his 6th set he heard the doorbell ring. He knew it couldn’t be Gojo so he quickly got on his costume and put on his bandana. He looked through the window from a blind spot so nobody would notice him. Snake saw that it was none other than Gojo’s three students, he opened the door and before he could speak the pink haired boy spoke.
-”Where’s our sensei? And why are you still here?” asked the boy.
-”Gojo isn’t home.” responded Snake.
-”Where is he then?” asked the black haired boy.
-”Yeah! He was supposed to come for a test day with us!” immediately said the girl. The three of them all looked at Snake who looked like he fought all day then back at each other.
-”I don’t know where he is. Now leave because he won’t come back any time soon.” replied Snake, turning around to go inside but the pink haired guy grabbed his wrist. Snake quickly turned around and instinctively pulled his hand back.
-”Where is Gojo sensei? We won’t leave until you tell us where he is.” said the pink haired guy.
-”Or maybe what you’ve done to him.” said the black haired guy who summoned the divine dogs.
-”I don’t know where he is nor have I done anything to him! Now calm down!” replied Snake but the three of them didn’t seem to believe him so the pink haired guy grabbed him and pulled him outside, the black haired guy closed the front door, causing the house to turn invisible as a defensive mechanism. Snake looked shocked and confused.
-”What have you done to the house!?” asked Snake.
-”He is clueless, he is clearly an intruder.” whispered the black haired guy to the other two who were both nodding. Before Snake could say another word both dogs jumped on Snake, biting and scratching him. Snake immediately kicked them off of him and ran away to hide, the three teens noticed and immediately chased after him. He noticed and immediately hid without them noticing. Once they went past him, Snake turned on his codec and called Gojo. After what seemed like an eternity Gojo picked up.
-”GOJO! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME YOUR STUDENTS WERE COMING TODAY!?” asked Snake, before Gojo could reply the sound of an explosion was heard coming from Gojo’s side.
-”[[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]. Snake I totally forgot! I’m so sorry” before Gojo could continue a screech was heard. “MOVE [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]!” was all that was heard before the sound of shooting was heard. “Ok, sorry Snake, I can’t talk right now, try to convince them that you don’t mean any harm and if they don’t listen just say you are my side chick or something, they’d believe that.” replied Gojo as he was catching his breath.
-”I’M NOT GOING TO SAY THAT!?” replied Snake, annoyed.
-”Well then you are on your own buddy!” said Gojo before another explosion was heard and Gojo ended the call.
-”Damn!” said Snake, frustrated. He pulled out his thermo goggles and looked around. He spotted one of the students, it was the pink haired guy. Snake slowly sneaked around, approaching him quietly. Once he was close enough to him he threw a smoke grenade. The pink haired guy immediately looked around trying to find Snake but the smoke was too thick, he tried focusing on his cursed energy but before he knew Snake knocked him out from behind. Snake caught the pink haired guy and carefully placed him down.
-”One down, two more to go.” said Snake but before he could do something, he felt two claws grabbing his shoulders and flying up with him.
-”Nue! Bring him to me!” said a voice and the bird immediately flew down towards the black haired boy but not enough to let Snake escape.
-”I’ll ask you again, where is Gojo sensei? What have you done to him? And don’t try to lie.” asked the black haired boy.
-”I told you I don’t know but you have to trust me when I tell you that I didn’t do [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] to him. You saw me then with him. Did I look like I wanted to kill him or something?” said Snake, annoyed.
-”..Well.. No but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t think of it!” said the black haired boy, Snake looked at him a bit skeptical.
-”...you must have some serious trust issues if you think like that...“ replied Snake, the boy looked at him and gestured something to the bird, causing it to electrocute Snake, turning him invisible and visible again, he grunted and looked at the boy mad.
-”Listen kid, I don’t know what you expect me to do. I’ll tell you this. I’m someone your ‘sensei’ or whatever you call him knows me and has enough trust to leave me alone on his island. I called him earlier today and all I could hear were gunshots, explosions and screeches! Do you think I knew about him going to [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] knows where? No! He left me a letter and that was it!” explained Snake, the boy looked at Snake then gestured the bird to drop him, Nue threw Snake against the ground before disappearing. The boy walked up to him then crouched.
-”Show me the letter.” said the boy in a demanding tone, Snake took the letter out of his inventory then gave it to the boy. The boy read it and looked a bit surprised.
-”Ah! Apologies! I’m sorry I was harsh. But that still doesn’t explain why you were looking the way you did when we came here. My name is Megumi Fushigoro by the way, but you can call me Megumi.” said Megumi. Snake got up and cleaned himself.
-”Ever heard of work outs? I doubt from the way you look. Call me whatever you want, I don’t really give a [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]].” said Snake slightly mad before pulling out a cigarette and lighting it up. Megumi looked at Snake a bit skeptical.
-”...I’m surprised Gojo handles you.” said Megumi.
-”Don’t worry I’m as surprised as you that he even dared to look at you.” replied Snake as he was smoking, Megumi looked at him annoyed.
-”I’ll have you know Gojo is my legal guardian and will tell him how much of a nuisance you are.” said Megumi annoyed, Snake rolled his eyes and walked away.
-”Wait a minute, where are you going?” asked Megumi.
-”Why do you care? Isn’t it enough you kicked my [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]?” replied Snake, annoyed as he kept walking, Megumi quickly walked up to him and stopped him.
-”Stop being so annoying and help me out with something!” said Megumi as he looked up at Snake, he looked down at him with an intimidating look.
-”Why should I?” replied Snake, Megumi looked up at him, swallowing heavily before talking but he was quickly cut off by Snake.
-”Listen kid, I don’t care what you want or what you need help with. I’m dirty. I’m running out of cigarettes and I’m most certainly NOT going to help some douchebag that refused to listen to me when I spoke the truth. Now get out before I kick you out!” said Snake before pushing Megumi aside and walking back towards where the house was. Megumi looked at him before calling the other two students.
-”Yuji, Nobara. I think we [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] up.” said Megumi.
-”Huuuuuuuh!? Why that?” asked Nobara.
-”We... quite possibly have angered this friend of Gojo’s.” said Megumi, looking a bit worried at Snake, who was still looking all fired up while walking back to the invisible house.
-”What did you do..?” asked Nobara, worried.
-”...I rather not talk about it.. Also how come Yuji isn’t answering.. What happened to him..?” asked Megumi, checking his map, noticing Yuji was in one spot while Nobara was walking towards him.
-”I don’t know, I was going to check right now- Omg he is dead.” said Nobara.
-”WHAT!?” asked Megumi worried.
-”Oop- my bad girl, he is passed out.. If that friend of Gojo did this to Yuji it means he is far stronger than we anticipated. OY! KNUCKLEHEAD! WAKE UP!” said Nobara before kicking Yuji, Megumi sighed then started walking towards where they were.
Once Megumi got to them Yuji was sitting up.
-”Oy! Megumi, you finally came!” said Yuji, looking up at Megumi.
-”Yeah, what happened?”asked Megumi.
-”Well, I was here, sitting and wondering where the guy went when all of a sudden I was surrounded by smoke, so I thought the guy used his cursed technique or something. I tried locating him but it was too late, he knocked me out. He is so fast for someone that doesn’t have even the slightest bit of cursed energy..” explained Yuji, Megumi and Nobara looked thought.
-”It reminds me of Toji.. except he isn’t as feral as Toji is..” said Megumi.
-”Yeah..” said both Nobara and Yuji.
-”Where did he go tho?” asked Nobara.
-”Back home, but I don’t think he knows how to unlock the safety mechanism..” replied Megumi.
-”Shouldn’t we help him then..?” asked Yuji.
-”Mmmm.. I guess we could help him..” replied Megumi looking away skeptical, Yuji got up and cleaned himself.
-”Alright then, let’s go!” said Yuji before walking towards where the house was.
Once they get there the only thing they find is a box.
-”..A ..box..?” asked Nobara, looking confused.
-”I’ll check it out!” said Yuji, walking up to the box, before he could pick up the box Snake got out of it, punching Yuji straight in the jaw, knocking him out again. Both Megumi and Nobara got ready to fight Snake but he threw a flashbang, blinding them both before rushing to Nobara and grabbing her by both her hands, keeping them behind her back and holding a pistol at her head.
-”Megumi!” screamed Nobara, Megumi immediately cleared his eyes looking shocked at Nobara.
-”One wrong move kid and she gets it.” said Snake, pushing the gun closer to her head, Megumi looked at him scared and confused.
-”THEN WHAT THE [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!?” asked Megumi, scared.
-”Bring the damn house back, [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]].” replied Snake.
-”Okay okay, I will.. geez...“ said Megumi, putting his hands up in the air before walking towards the house.
-”Geez you stink dude.” whispered Nobara.
-”Thanks, I didn’t get to shower because you [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] jumped me for no reason.” replied Snake annoyed before throwing Nobara hard against the ground but still pointing his gun at her as Megumi made the house reappear. Snake unlocked the door and opened it, making sure it’s still the same before picking up Yuji and putting him on the sofa. Megumi and Nobara looked at him confused.
-”Are you going to come in or stay out?” asked Snake before walking up to the front door where Megumi and Nobara were. They both went inside and Snake closed the door behind them.
-”I’ll go shower, then take you to the test thingy or whatever.” said Snake before walking in his room and picking up a few things then walking to the bathroom. Megumi and Nobara walked up to where Yuji was, healing him and waking him up.
-”God damn it! This is the second time he knocked me out!” said Yuji, annoyed, rubbing his nose.
-”He definitely has a favourite...“ said Nobara, sarcastically.
-”I wonder what made him change his mind about kicking us out..” said Megumi.
-”You think sensei told him something?” asked Yuji to which Nobara chuckled.
-”Oh yeah, definitely!” replied Nobara before clearing her throat to imitate Gojo’s voice “Oh honey bunny, don’t hurt my perfect and very amazing students! They never meant it!”, both Yuji and Megumi chuckled, then Yuji cleared his throat as well.
-”No! They are dummies! They deserve pain!” said Yuji, who was imitating Snake.
-”But honey boo.. They are kids and they are the sweetest little angels ever!” said Nobara, still imitating Gojo. Yuji laughed and Megumi giggled.
-”But I hate them! Rah! I want them dead! Gone for good!” said Yuji, Nobara giggled and before they could continue, Snake cleared his throat.
-”Are you three done with your roleplaying?” asked Snake with a cold and slightly annoyed voice, not like the one Yuji imitated. They all screamed from fear.
-”Ah, we are so sorry sir!” said Yuji immediately bowing, Nobara and Megumi doing the same. Snake sighed.
-”Whatever. I sent you all three a friend request. I’ll wait for you in the lobby.” said Snake before teleporting away.
-”...We [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] up big time..” said Yuji looking worried at Nobara. Nobara looked back at him.
-” I knooooooooow.. Let’s just hope he won’t get any more upset than he already is..” said Nobara. Yuji nodded, they then accepted the friend request and joined Snake’s lobby. Once inside the lobby, none of them said anything, too afraid to piss off Snake any further, they all just readied up and hopped in the game. Once on the Island, Snake looked at the map.
-”Megumi.. You talked the most with him, right..?” whispered Yuji, Megumi looked at him mad.
-”And so what if I did!? You don’t plan on using me as bait to talk to him are you!?” replied Megumi.
-”...no..no.. definitely not..” said Yuji, while still looking at the map.
-”We are going... here.” said Snake, putting a mark on Lavish Lair.
-”Why not drop somewhere cool, like The Underworld? Or Grim Gates?” asked Nobara, looking at Snake with a bit of confusion and fear. Snake looked like he was having a flashback episode.
-”No.” replied Snake quickly with a cold tone, while getting on the bus. “Come on, the busdriver won’t wait for ya.”
They all got on the bus, and watched the map from above, as Snake gave them the signal to go. They all dropped off, one by one, following Snake like a bunch of ducklings.
-”Woaaaaaah... sir.. Don’t you think there are too many people?” asked Yuji, Snake looked at him as he glided down.
-”Are you scared of a little fight?” asked Snake as he kept gliding down.
-”No sir..” replied Yuji.
Once they got down, they all started looking for weapons, Snake however immediately engaged in a fight despite having only a pistol, he took down two players, expecting them to die only to realise he is in squads and Gojo isn’t behind him like he usually is.
-”Ah [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]].” said Snake running as he started getting shot. The students noticed and immediately jumped in to help, eliminating the other two remaining players in the team.
-”Yeah, thanks.” said Snake. He walked away, looking for healing items. He eventually found a medkit as well as a few mini shields, using them all, then throwing the remaining one. Nobara immediately took it and used it, both Yuji and Megumi looked at her sassily.
-”Wow, what a [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]], not even considering if we need it or not!” said Yuji, to which Nobara giggled.
-”Yeah, yeah. I’ll find you some!” replied Nobara.
As she began looking around, she entered a room in which a whole team was hiding. She screamed as she immediately got shot and knocked down, everyone in the team saw it. Yuji and Megumi immediately rushed towards the room and Snake after them.
-”Wait! Don’t go inside! You’ll end up like her!” said Snake but before he could stop them, they both got knocked down as well. Snake sighed and threw a few cluster clingers, but they all immediately ran out of the room, shooting Snake and eliminating the whole thing, causing them to immediately return to the lobby. Snake let out a long sigh and all the students looked at him scared and worried.
-”I thought I told you both to NOT go inside.” said Snake, slightly frustrated.
-”We are sorry.. We usually go in together..” replied Yuji quietly.
-”Yeah… just like a pack of wolves.” said Snake, annoyed.
-”..But wolves are nice!” replied Yuji innocently, Snake rubbed his eyes from frustration.
-”No, they are not.” replied Snake, still frustrated.
-”Awh..” said Yuji. Snake then readied up and all the students did as well.
They got in the game and Snake chose another place where he knew that people wouldn't come. They got in the bus, then dropped to the location Snake pinned. They immediately looted the area and began walking in the zone. As they were walking, Snake seemed to be less frustrated so Yuji decided to try his luck.
-”Sir.. What is Gojo for you?” asked Yuji, both Nobara and Megumi looked at Yuji shocked.
-”Nothing but a friend. He helps me, I help him. Nothing else.” replied Snake coldly as he kept walking.
-”Is he even important to you?” asked Megumi a bit defensively, to which Snake thought a bit before speaking.
-”Friends come and go, so will he, eventually. But not now, now is not the time. You’ll understand when you get older.” They all looked at him spitefully then at each other worried about Gojo.
-”Sensei is definitely not the luckiest when it comes to making new friends.. First DOOM now this guy..” whispered Yuji, Snake could hear them but decided to act like he didn't hear it and kept walking towards the zone.
-”I know... but what should we do? Sensei won’t believe us..” whispered Nobara.
-”I guess we can only hope he leaves before sensei gets too attached to him..” whispered Megumi. They all nodded and kept walking. They eventually get in the zone and hear people shooting, Snake immediately rushed to see what was going on, noticing two teams fighting each other. They both seemed like they were real players so Snake took cover in a bush, the students noticed and immediately joined him in the bush.
-”What are you doing, sir?” asked Yuji.
-”Killing.” replied Snake before laying low and pulling out his assault rifle, Nobara pulled out her sniper and began shooting.
-”Tsk! I never get to hit them!” whispered Nobara as she reloaded her sniper. Snake looked at her then back at the team, knocking down two players while Nobara kept trying to hit them. Yuji and Megumi were looking out in case someone came into their bush. Snake noticed Yuji and Megumi and sighed, he looked at Nobara.
-”Look, you aren’t aiming it right. Aim above the head a bit and take a deep breath. Try to hold in your breath so the barrel doesn’t move around when you scope in.” said Snake as he fixed her aiming. Nobara nodded and took a deep breath before shooting, aiming straight for the head and knocking down the player.
-”I did it! Yes!” said Nobara, excitedly.
-”Yeah, good job! But it’s not over yet, this team is already doing really bad, aim for the other team.” said Snake before getting up, Nobara nodded and began shooting the other team. Snake walked up to Yuji and Megumi.
-”You two, stop being a deadbeat and go kill the weak team before they revive each other and find us.” said Snake, Yuji and Megumi nodded and immediately jumped in, killing the enemy with their frenzy auto shotguns. “And try to aim closer to the head!” advised Snake as he pointed to his head, they both nodded then jumped the other team as Nobara took another one down with her sniper. They eventually killed them all and started looting, while they were looting Snake got a call on his codec, he answered it.
-”Hello, Solid Snake, we finally got to talk again!” said the voice on the other line, who was none other than Midas.
-”...Are you finally out?” asked Snake.
-”Well yes, I am! And I believe it’s time we make an arrangement for our next meeting when we’ll discuss you joining me.” replied Midas.
-”I never agreed on joining you, I said I’ll consider it.” said Snake.
-”True, but this is a deal you can’t refuse! ... Listen carefully, Snake. I can get you out of here! I know you want to find a way to escape from here, you’ve got nobody but yourself. You can’t properly function without having someone ordering you around. You are a pawn on a chess board. You don’t belong here.” said Midas. Snake looked at the students who were celebrating then away.
-”Whatever, get to the point. I don’t have all day to waste on someone who only insults me.” replied Snake, coldly, Midas chuckled.
-”Very well. The deal goes like this. I give you the ability to leave this game whenever you want, but you can’t go wherever you want. You will go where you are ordered to. I need you to steal the code from that game, in order to steal it you will have to scan a few things then return the results to me. If you die, all the progress and memories you made there will be erased from you and I will have to respawn you from when you last had your checkpoint. Seems simple enough right?” explained Midas
-”This isn’t what I wanted!” said Snake.
-”Oh but it is, because once you get all the codes I need I will give you free access to go to any game you’ve ever wanted to. Snake, think about it. All you need to do is follow some orders for a while and then you’ll be free. You won’t have to look back to this awful place. You’ll be free to explore all the possibilities!” said Midas, Snake thought for a moment.
-”... fine. I’ll join you.” replied Snake.
-”Perfect! I knew you wouldn’t miss such an opportunity, I know you are busy now so call me when you can so we can make the deal.” said Midas.
-”Ok.” replied Snake before closing the codec, when he looked back to where the students were he noticed they weren’t there anymore so he checked his map and noticed they weren’t that far away. He looked around for a car but found none so he started walking towards them. He got on top of a hill, and proceeded to look through the sniper scope.
-”There they are.” whispered Snake to himself, as the students were having a 6v3. They were fighting whoever they could. Snake aimed for one of the enemies, and instantly knocked them down.
-”Here he is!” said Yuji, before looking at Snake, then continuing to fire at enemies, knocking each down, one by one, effectively winning the fight. Snake heard it slightly and couldn’t help but crack a small smile. Once they killed them all Snake rushed down the hill to the students.
-”Are you three alright?” asked Snake, looking at them, they all looked up at him.
-”Yes sir!” they said in unison.
-”Good.” said Snake as he began walking and looking through the loot. As he was looking through the loot he pulled out a cigarette and began smoking, the students noticed and looked at him odd.
-”Geez why do you smoke?” asked Yuji.
-”Helps me relax... Want one?” asked Snake, handing out one cigarette. Both Nobara and Yuji looked disgusted while Megumi reached out for it but Snake immediately pulled back.
-”Atatata! You really thought I’d give you such luxury, especially when I’m running out? No way in heck. Plus you are a minor.. I’ll have your sensei know that you are smoking.” said Snake with a grin on his face. Both Nobara and Yuji looked shocked while Megumi looked unsurprised.
-”Actually this was a test to see if you’d actually be negligent enough to give us cigarettes.” explained Megumi, Snake raised an eyebrow.
-”Uh huh. Alright.. Now loot while we still have time.” said Snake as he went back to looting. The students did the same. The zone was closing in, eventually getting to the last four teams. Snake and the students were walking around, hiding from bush to bush and staying on high ground. Snake peeked through his sniper and got a bit out of the bush to look for players. Before he could return in the bush, he got sniped in the head, getting himself knocked.
-”[[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]! Don’t pick me up I’ll walk to you” said Snake but before he could make it to the bush he got sniped again and killed. All the students looked shocked and screamed in fear.
-”NOOOOOOOOOO WHY DID IT HAD TO BE HIM!? WHAT DO WE DO NOW!?” said Nobara, panicking.
-”WE WIN, I GUESS!?” said Yuji.
-”WIN!? HAVE YOU SEEN THE WAY THEY KILLED HIM IN COLD BLOOD! THERE’S NO WAY IN HECK WE WIN THIS!” replied Megumi.
-”WE ARE SCREWED! WE ARE SO SCREWED!” said Nobara.
-”NO! WE NEED TO FOCUS! COME ON! FOCUS GUYS! WE CAN DO IT! WE THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP JUST LIKE GOJO SENSEI TAUGHT US! TOGETHER WE ARE THE JUJUTSU KAISEN!” said Yuji, both Nobara and Megumi looked at him disgusted.
-”Never say that [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] again, Yuji.” said Nobara.
-”Awh.” said Yuji.
-”Don’t even awh. You know the [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] is cringe.” said Megumi.
-”Ok yeah you got a point..” replied Yuji quietly.
They all looked in the chat noticing that another team died, leaving them and two other teams. They looked at each other.
-”I have an idea. I’m going to take a peek through the bush, we should be fine like this..” said Nobara.
-”Ok.. Just a quick look..” said Megumi. Nobara nodded and looked through the scope, she noticed a whole team on top of a building, looking through their snipers. Nobara quickly took off the scope and slowly turned around to look at Yuji and Megumi.
-”We are a lost cause. We are not winning this one guys.” said Nobara with a hopeless expression.
-”What? Why?” asked Yuji.
-”They all have their snipers ready for us. They wait for us to do the first move...“ explained Nobara.
-” Ah. Well damn, we can’t do anything unless the third party finds them.. hopefully..“ said Megumi.
-”Oh, look guys! The storm is closing in on us, they have to abandon their positions and get closer, that’s where we strike them up close and personal!” exclaimed Yuji, while still looking at the map.
-”What if they are already prepared for that... what if when we shoot them, they shoot back and we get third partied..” said Megumi.
-”Yeah.. That’s oughta be a problem..” said Yuji. Before someone could say something, they all heard shooting.
-”YES! WE WIN THESE! WE ARE GOING TO MAKE SNAKE PROUD!” said Yuji, both Nobara and Megumi nodded.
Nobara took out her sniper and began shooting, hitting body shots while Yuji and Megumi were using their rifles to shoot at whatever they could see. They hit a few shots and Nobara knocked and immediately after killed the player. Soon enough the team that was on the roof won the battle but they were in the storm, they tried to get out of the storm but failed, dying and getting the students the win.
-”Oh wow, we won.. We actually won..” said Megumi.
-”Yeah it was easier than I expected-” said Nobara, who was immediately cut off by Yuji’s excited screaming.
-”RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH WE WON! IN YOUR FACE [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]! SEE THIS SIR! WE DID IT! RAAAAAAAAAAH” exclaimed Yuji, all happy as he was jumping around, hugging Nobara and Megumi really hard.
They returned to the lobby where Snake was waiting for them.
-”Not bad kiddos... not bad.. Maybe you should try to stay hidden more than jump in the middle of it all.” said Snake.
-”Got it!” they all said in unison.
-”You aren’t a bad guy..“ said Megumi.
-”I was never a bad guy, you guys saw me like that. You kids tend to overthink things more than you should. Try to learn to focus on the task rather than over analyzing it.” said Snake, they all nodded.
-”Thank you for helping us sir, we will tell Gojo all about today..” said Yuji.
-”No problem.. And alright.. I’ll leave you three alone now.. I still have to do some things around the house before Gojo returns..” said Snake.
-”Alright, good bye sir!” they all said in unison as they waved goodbye, Snake grinned then left the lobby, teleporting back home.
Once home he changed into some more casual clothes and began making dinner. He quickly finished making it and ate it quietly in the kitchen. As he was eating by himself his thoughts raced about how he’d finally be able to leave this place and finally return to Otacon and Raiden as well as his other friends in SSB.
Once he was done with dinner he washed his dishes and went into the living room, opening the TV to see what’s new.
-”Good news everyone, the underground team once again put a close to the code breaking problem! Despite the challenge and the catastrophic events from the carnival they still managed to keep up and eliminate all the problems.” said the reporter before the camera man showed Hope, Mizuki and Jones wave happily, they all seemed unharmed and barely covered in any purple and black patterns. As Snake was about to skip the channel, Gojo finally got home. The second he entered the front door, Snake could feel a heavy pressure and noticed how it began raining slightly.
-”Always the dramatic entrance, huh..” said Snake in a cocky tone before looking at Gojo, who was covered all over the place with the pattern of the monsters. He looked surprised and was left speechless.
-”...I brought beer.” said Gojo, placing the beer on the counter. Snake stood up and walked to the beer, slightly excited about the beer but still in amazement from Gojo’s state. Gojo noticed and slowly walked towards his room, Snake noticed and looked at him.
-”You are injured.” said Snake.
-”And so what? Nothing my reverse cursed technique can’t heal..” said Gojo coldly, Snake rolled his eyes and set the beer aside.
-”Stop acting like a drama queen. It doesn’t suit you. ... Come on, let’s clean your wounds before they get infected.” said Snake before walking to the bathroom to pick up the first aid kit. Gojo looked at him, before continuing to walk towards his room. As Gojo was about to put his hand on the handle to open the door, Snake stopped him.
-”Don’t even bother trying.” said Snake before slowly pulling Gojo by the hand in the living room. Snake set down a towel then looked at Gojo with a straight face.
-”Take off your clothes.” said Snake, Gojo couldn’t help but chuckle.
-”That sounds so gay. Especially coming from someone like you!” said Gojo, Snake looked at him disappointed.
-”Don’t make me regret this.” said Snake, Gojo chuckled and rolled his eyes, he took off his clothes and sat down on the towel, Snake opened the first aid kit and began cleaning Gojo’s scars. He’d occasionally grunt but it wasn’t as bad as he expected.
-”...Why are you doing all this..?” asked Gojo quietly while looking away. Snake looked at him, then back at the scar.
-”You saved my life and you also cooked me meals. It’s the bare minimum.” explained Snake.
-”Why do you care so much about me? I told you I could use my technique, yet you still chose to help me.” said Gojo.
-”...You are a person too and again. You help me, it’s only fair I help you too.” replied Snake as he began bandaging his scars.
-”..You are going to leave anyway, why bother. You don’t care about me, nor do you care about this place.” said Gojo a bit annoyed, Snake looked at him.
-”You worry about the future, I worry about the present. We aren’t the same.” replied Snake before looking back at the scars, Gojo was speechless. Snake finished bandaging his scars and looked at him.
-”Plus there’s a long way till there, a lot can change. I choose to build my future not follow an idea of what my future will be. If I choose to help you, that's on me. It’s up to you how you take this. ... but since you didn’t fight against my help and didn’t immediately rush away after I was done with helping you proved to me that you care about the help I give you.” said Snake, Gojo sighed and placed his head in his hands.
-”Why are you like this? Always so deep in thought, always so stoic. God I hate you.” said Gojo, annoyed.
-”...I don’t know, I guess speaking my mind wasn’t my best ability.” said Snake, before getting up and walking away, but Gojo grabbed his hand and stopped him.
-”Don’t leave yet. ... I don’t want to be alone.” whispered Gojo, Snake looked at him then away.
-” ... I’ll go fetch us some beers, you.. Go get dressed.” said Snake, walking in the kitchen. Gojo grunted and got up, he went into his room and soon returned to the living room wearing his pyjamas. Snake was there waiting with two opened beers. Gojo sat down next to him and picked up his beer. He drank a bit before placing down the beer, he sighed and looked down.
-”Today was rough.. I’m so sorry I had forgotten to tell you and the students that I won’t be available.” said Gojo.
-”Eh, it’s fine.” replied Snake before taking a sip from his beer. Gojo leaned back against the sofa and looked at him.
-”Were they a nuisance?” asked Gojo with a grin.
-”Ha! If anything I was the nuisance in their opinion..” replied Snake, Gojo chuckled a bit.
-”Is that so? Well, did you win?” asked Gojo.
-”..They did.. I got sniped by some campers.” explained Snake as he took another sip.
-”Huh.. At least one of us had a good day..” said Gojo before picking up his beer and taking a sip.
-”Yeah.. What about you..? Monster codes..? Or whatever they are called.” asked Snake.
-”Errors. No biggy... However it was so [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] annoying. DOOM was up my [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] all the time. Mizuki and Hope were focusing only on each other, leaving me to deal with most of the things because they were all a mess..” explained Gojo frustrated before taking another sip of his beer, Snake looked at him shocked and disgusted.
-”You and DOOM [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]!?” asked Snake, disgusted, Gojo looked at him confused then bursted out laughing.
-”PFFT WHAT!? NO! I MEANT THAT HE WAS AN ANNOYING LITTLE [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]!” explained Gojo.
-”Ah, okay.” replied Snake before taking another sip.
-”Why? Would you like to be up my-” before Gojo could finish Snake spit his beer and looked at him mad.
-”[[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] NO.” said Snake to which Gojo laughed harder.
-”You are so funny to tease. Anyway, yeah I had to handle everything which was [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] annoying. It sucks being the strongest.” said Gojo, taking another sip from his beer. Snake quickly chugged his beer and set the bottle aside.
-”Yeah, I know the feeling. Also is the kebab guy alright?” asked Snake, Gojo looked at him and thought for a bit before responding.
-”I heard that he’s fine, slowly recovering, but fine.” Snake nodded and leaned back against the couch.
-”Ok, good. ... That guy is the only good thing about this game.” said Snake.
-”Geez, marry him if you love him so much!” said Gojo mockingly before chuckling, Snake looked at him annoyed then away. He looked outside noticing the storm wasn’t there anymore and the sky was only cloudy.
-”Yeah, whatever. Well. I guess I’ll get going, I need rest.” said Snake before standing up. Gojo looked at him.
-”Oh, okay, good night dude.” said Gojo.
-”Yeah, night night.” replied Snake before walking away, Gojo looked at him as he walked away, unable to shake that something wrong was about to happen but he pushed that thought aside. He got up and went into his room.
Once Snake made sure that Gojo went to sleep he put on his costume and called Midas via codec. He was immediately teleported in a dark room with only one light in front of him. Under that light it was none other than Midas, sitting on a golden throne made out of people’s limbs.
-”Hello again, Solid Snake.”
