(QUINN'S POV)

Quinn tried not to let his thoughts wander as they moved through the quiet hospital. The stakes were high, but the weight of it all felt different now. It wasn't just about stopping Clint anymore. It was about something bigger: about making sure Lila was okay, about making sure they didn't lose this battle, this war, and about not letting the corrupted system win.

But his mind kept flicking back to earlier. He couldn't stop thinking about Lila's question. Do you like me?

It was a simple question, but the way she'd asked it... it had caught him off guard. What was he supposed to say? He couldn't let his feelings distract him, not now, not when Clint was still out there and the clock was ticking. But he couldn't help it. The image of her, standing there with that determined look in her eyes, it stuck with him. She was stronger than he realized. And despite everything, there was a softness to her, too.

Quinn shook his head, trying to focus. He'd barely even acknowledged the thought, pushing it aside in favor of the mission. Later, we'll talk about it later, that's what he kept telling himself. But even so, he couldn't ignore the flutter of something strange in his chest.

"Lila," Quinn said, trying to keep his voice steady as they moved down another hallway. "You really think we're going to find him?"

"Of course we will," Lila replied, her voice firm. She didn't seem to notice the subtle shift in his demeanor, which he was grateful for. "We just need to stay focused. Clint won't get away with this."

They kept moving, checking every dark corner, every hallway where Clint's men could be hiding. Quinn's nerves were on edge, but he couldn't show it. Not yet.

Suddenly, a soft sound echoed down the hallway, a door creaking open, followed by a faint voice. It was too quiet to be a guard. Lila motioned for him to follow, and they both crept toward the sound, slipping into the shadows.

But as they rounded the corner, they came face to face with two of Clint's men. They were armed, and they looked just as surprised to see Quinn and Lila as the other way around. Without thinking, Quinn stepped forward, ready to fight.
