"Oh my word you scared me" Nick sat there in shock.
"Lucky!!" Serena added. Though it didn't seem like she meant it. Weird.
Then the teacher walked in.
"Alright today we have another student joining us. And since I'm bored of the seating arrangements, new seats!!"
We all groaned. That meant Nick, Serena and I were no longer sitting together. Oh Thomas just walked in.
"Perfect timing! Everybody up! We're changing seats!"
I got up and walked over to Thomas. Nick and Serena were next to us but talking within each other. Thomas and I started talking as everyone was getting their new seats.
"Hey!"
"You switched your classes?"
"Yea I had like no friends in any classes and now look! I've got you!" Thomas bumped me playfully.
"Oh I guess it worked out!"
"For sure"
Soon enough it was just Thomas and I left standing. Nick and Serena were seated together in the third row. Lucky ducks.
"Alright that leaves Niola, you're in the back corner. Thomas your seat is next to her."
"Sick!"
Thomas and I walked to the back of the class. We sat down.
"Psst!" He leaned over to whisper.
"Hm?"
"Does this mean I can cheat off of you?" He joked. I started to laugh.
"Do I already need to change seats?" The teacher called us out.
"No sir! I'm good"
"Alright quiet for just a moment." The teacher continued.
"You will be working with the person next to you. You are doing a scavenger hunt around the school."
"Oh my gosh I'm weirdly excited?" I looked over.
"We get to run around the school like freshman again. I'll race you"
"Just be prepared to lose" I say shrugging.
"Oh cute! You think you're faster?"
"I may not play football but I always win a good race"
"Wow the delusion." He sighed.
We got up and grabbed our paper.
"Remember be respectful!" The teacher shouted as the class left.
"How are we racing if we're supposed to work together?" I asked.
"Let's see. Oh for each clue we'll figure it out together then countdown to get there"
"Are you just saying that so you don't have to figure out the clues"
"Nooo neverrrr"
