| Throwing Shade |

The next morning Matt and I were one of the first people awake though he was sort of off. Probably didn't sleep well or something. Anywho we went downstairs and Lucas, Thomas, Mimi, Ryley and Nate were all awake.

"Look who learned their lesson from yesterday!"
"Yea I don't have an idiot with an airhorn so I'm headache free" Matt laughed rolled his eyes at Mimi.
"To be fair we gave you guys 20 minutes"
"Well now you can wake the others up if they aren't here soon" Ryley added.
"Is that R for Ryley or Reagan there buddy?" Matt pointed to Lucas' hair. He rushed his hands to his head to cover the initial.
"IS IT SERIOUSLY THAT NOTICEABLE?!"
"Yea why did you do that?!"
"I DIDNT IT WAS THOMAS AND MIMI"
"AND YOU LET THEM?!" Matt yelled shocked.
"Unfortunately yea"
"Reagans gonna kill youuuu!!!" I teased Lucas
"Geez Niola I had no idea" He replied with a straight face.

I went to grab a celsius from the fridge and sat at the island next to Thomas and Lucas. Everyone else was standing around.
"Kid you good" Nate commented on Matt yawning.
"Don't seem like it" Mimi laughed.
As they continued their conversation Thomas quietly mentioned something to me.

"Did you get a text from anyone last night?"
"Yea a crazy one about OH MY GOD I still have to talk to Mimi"
"Yea but anything else?"
"Oh by the way what happened last night? You know something and I wanna know too!"
"Nai"
"Sorry side tracked anyways what were you asking?"
"A text?"
"From you?"
"Possibly"
"You never texted me"
"Huh?"
"You didn't text me? Are you good?"
"Yea I'm-" He paused and looked away for a moment.
"Thomas?"
"Oh yea I'm good my bad" He looked away to someone else.

I didn't believe him for a second but I have no clue what he's talking about. I looked up for a second and saw Matt glaring at him. I'm just gonna go talk to Mimi or something. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with me.

Thomas' pov

"You didn't text me? Are you good?" Nai replied.
What? I know I sent that text and she read it. Unless she's pretending not to know because she doesn't want to make it awkward?
"Yea I'm-" I felt someone's eyes piercing in my skin. I looked up for a quick glance. It was Matt. I'm in deep shit oh my god. She didn't see the text, he did. Bro.

"Thomas?" She waved her hand in my face to get my attention.
"Oh yea I'm good my bad" I looked away to Lucas and Ryley. Their bickering brought me a distraction.

Soon later Nai got up and walked to Mimi and Lucas. I looked over to Matt once again to give him a sign I wanted to talk to him. I get up from my seat and walked to the other room. It looked like an office. There was a desk with a computer an additional table with many chairs. Weird to have in a beach house but I'm sure theres some other use for it. Matt followed me in like I hoped. He didn't look mad or anything he just looked confused. Thankfully.

"To explain that text it was a truth or dare. Mimi was doing a video segment with us and I guess they just went too far but I didn't mean-"
"You're good dude I'm not mad at you or anything"
"Deadass?"
"I thought it was funny but Silv was already asleep by the time you sent that. I figured it wasn't how you really feel since there was a lot of noise and running around last night" He started laughing. I laughed along with him but I didn't mean it. Problem is I don't know if that's how I really feel. I could never act on it, especially after this interaction, but I need to clarify my feelings.
"So we're cool?"
"Of course!" He dapped me up and we heard Nick run out his room and down the stairs.

"Check Julie and Rhymes post immediately." As he said that we walked out back to everyone else.
"What happened?!" Mimi asked.
"Just check"
"I don't have my phone"
"Nice haircut Lucas"
"STOP OH MY GOD"
"OH?! Throwing shade I guess" Nai pulled up their TikTok video. It was captioned, 'when you guys weren't invited but it's okay because you'd rather hangout yourselves anyways!'
"Oh and the hashtags are pretty targeted too" I pointed out.
"Hashtag best friends, hashtag twinninem, hashtag no shade, well that's hard to believe." Nate read aloud.
"Who are Julie and Rhyme again?" Ryley asked.
"They're the girls who threw the party that Thomas, Matt and Chris fought at and then they fought like twice more after that I think at school and stuff" Lucas always knows when to go too far.
"Thank you so much Luke for that reminder" Matt patted his back but incredibly hard.
"What I thought you guys were over it"
"Didn't need to mention all of that though.." Ryley slapped his hand. Matt and I looked to each other and laughed.
"YOU ASKED THE QUESTION?!"
"And you went too far. Like always"
"Okay Niola where'd that come from"
"Oh nowhere silly!"
