After Mimi's birthday dinner we came back to the house. I was in the kitchen along with Thomas, Reagan, Lucas, Finn and Ryley. We were talking as I was baking a family homemade recipe for banana bread! Everyone else was outside messing around.
"I think I've gotten to meet everyone so far" Ryley started talking.
"I haven't talked to Jack yet" Reagan answered.
"How about Serena?" Finn looked at her.
"Oh yea her either. She's really quiet I guess"
"We've spoken a few at Jacks party but that's about it" Thomas joined.
"Serena just takes a bit to warm up to people but I love her she's the sweetest person ever"
"Alright Nai I see how it is." Ryley gave the hand as a joke.
"Love you too Ryley!"
"Tell her to warm up faster" Reagan hit Lucas's head as he said that.
"This is why she doesn't talk to you"
"I'm literally the best what do you mean"
"Yea yea yea"I went to the cabinet above with the pan I needed. I wasn't able to reach so I climbed on the counter. I already showered and everything so I was good.
"Pip are you insane?!" Thomas got up and walked over as he spotted me getting down.
"What I got it"
"One wrong move.."
"ARE YOU PRAYING ON MY DOWNFALL?! DAMN"
"Never!!"
"I would've caught her" Ryley shrugged.
"Thanks Rye!"
"Of course baby girl" She winked at me.
"Ew yall are freaky" Lucas rolled his eyes.
"You're mad"
They all continued talking and I struggled to pour the banana bread dough into the pan. It was definitely a two person job."Need help?" Thomas took the bowl from me.
"Use the spatula to get it"
"Tanks stalker"
"Of course Pip"
We looked to each other and smiled. I looked out the window and saw Matt staring at us.Matts pov
I was outside playing volleyball on the sand. With me was Nick, Chris, Jack, Olive, Mimi, Serena, Malakai and Nate.
"OUT!! LOSER" Mimi shouted.
"Alright volleyball pro"
"Damn right? Bow down"
"Why would you get that in her head Jack"
"I SAW HER PLAY HER AND NAI ARE ACTUALLY GOOD" As Jack said that I looked at Chris. He looked pissed off I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he went off on Jack again. Malakai gave that look like 'what the fuck did I enter' me too dude. What is this rivalry.
"YOU SAY THAT LIKE IT WASN'T EXPECTED"
"It wasn't" He mumbled under his breath. Just as he said that BOOM Mimi spiked the ball.
"Well" Mimi shrugged laughing and high-fived her team.As the next round went on I glanced at the kitchen through the window. I saw everyone standing around but I also saw Thomas and Nai. Am I schizophrenic because why do they look so flirty?
"Second opinion they look very smiley." Nate whispered in my ear.
"You barely know her"
"You seem to know her the most and look at who's worried."
That did nothing but piss me off. I didn't even have a response to that. I'm sick of this though I need to talk to her.I walked back into the house and went over to her. She was standing at the oven while everyone was talking at the other side of the island.
She looked up at me nervously.
"Can we-" I paused. Do I really want to mention this? This can say two different things and I don't want to give the wrong message. I fully trust Silv I'm just not comfortable with him."Do you want to talk?" She asked me concerned.
"I- No I wanted to ask you.. if what I'm smelling is correct" I couldn't think of anything else quick enough.
"If you smell banana bread, you'd be correct!" She smiled at me and I reciprocated.I stayed inside with this group for the rest of the night. OH HELL YEAH THE BANANA BREAD IS DONE.
Silv turned the oven timer off and opened the oven door. She stuck a toothpick in the bread.
"Ay! It's perfect!" She stepped away.
"I CALL FIRST SLICE!" Lucas got up and raised his hand. I went to grab the oven mitts.
"Dude it's not going anywhere" Thomas replied then looked over at what I was doing.
"Oh I would've gotten it out"
"Nah it's good" As I said that Silv walked up and I got the bread out.
"You don't want to play volleyball anymore?" Thomas asked condescendingly.
"I'm good." I put the bread on the counter.
"Tanks!"
I smiled at her.
