So this is pretty much a filler chapter about what happened after Maiko fainted and got kidnapped by Sasuke in the first book. Someone asked what happened and I wondered myself too. (Sorry but I don't remember who asked though I think it was @KiraJames...mmm maybe)
I panted as I went through the corridors, each one of them looking exactly like the other. How was I going to get out?" I asked myself then tried to calm down.
AJ-chan had gotten herself lost, I felt somewhere in me. She was clueless of the ninja's ways either way. She had no real training. But I thanked her enough for being her for she was here because she knew Sasuke meant to me. And that is very nice of her.
And then I remembered something. I turned my earpiece on to speak and I did; "AJ-chan, AJ-chan...Are you ok? You lost." I asked.
"You scared me, Blondie-sensei. I forgot about the ear-plug thingy. And I'm ok but I guess not for long. And about being lost, definitely." Wonderful...
I chuckled in amusement. "What do you mean you're not going to be ok for long?"
"Someone's chasing me. At high speed. Thing is, I'm scared as hell and I can't manage to get enough distance to be able to fight it."
I frowned but continued running. What was going on?
"It?"
"I don't know what or who it is, ok? I just see a motherfucking shadow." Colorful language...
Want me to go to you?" I offered. I couldn't quite imagine AJ doing this herself. She wasn't going to be able to do it. She wasn't strong enough yet. I had to protect my little sister.
I've said that to Kakashi once, that AJ-chan was like my little sister and he punched over my head. He didn't like that. And if he knew AJ had come with us...he would have disapproved.
"No, no, I'll handle it." She said quietly, thoughtful. Could she have possibly made out a plan to get out?
I'd noticed this past time I've been around AJ, that she is very strong. She doesn't give up; she's brave and high spirited.
When I saw a clearing I found a big hole in the ground. But I heard footsteps ahead so I waited until I found Sakura come with Sai.
She looked up at the sun's direction with an admiring look. A look I hadn't seen glimmer in her eyes for about two years, almost three. That could only mean one thing.
I turned up and saw him. The reason I was here. The reason why I had convinced myself to become stronger. Sasuke.
But I'm guessing this is not the only thing that surprised me to see. There was also AJ-chan. She was faint, on his arms. Her hair was flowing back and down. Her wrist was burned, an electric shock still going through a bracelet she was wearing. Did Sasuke use Chidori with her?
"Sasuke!" I called. "Bring her over; you don't have to harm her!"
He slightly cocked his head to the side, curious. "What is her name?"
I shook my head. "Just hand her over! Sasuke! Please, don't hurt her!"
His gaze tightened and he placed her on the ground. After we were done with quite a scene, he grabbed her and left. Just like that. Without caring. Without hesitation. He just left.
With her.
Back in Konoha...
"What do you mean she's gone!?" Kakashi asked in Lady Tsunade's office.
"She was lost in the forest, I guess and she had told she would handle things because someone was following her and that was Sasuke. But when we found Sasuke he just took her, and left. I told him not to harm her, Kakashi-sensei. I'm sorry."
Kakashi paced back and forth, I swear I thought he was going to take a swing on me.
Lady Tsunade stood. "Kakashi, calm down. I don't think Sasuke is stupid enough to kill Maiko."
"Maiko?" I asked.
"Maiko is her true name." Kakashi.
"Her name is Yasuki Maiko. Or Princess Maiko, daughter of the Queen of the Five Nations. Yasuki Emiko."
"What?" I asked, still in shock.
"AJ is not AJ, she's Maiko. Our Princess." Granny Tsunade repeated.
I turned to Kakashi. "Did you know this?"
He nodded his head. "I knew it the moment I met her."
I breathed a little but then closed my eyes. "And why won't Sasuke kill her?"
"Because she needs her. No one would dare to kill her. There's a power that would emerge from her if she died. Something beyond anything we know." Lady Tsunade said
"If she is killed, we all do. She can't die. Not even of old age." Kakashi said.
"Is she aware of this?" I asked, panicked.
"NO." They said simply.
"Does Sasuke know about this?" I asked.
"We don't know. There is a bond between the Uchiha's and Yasuki's and Orochimaru was quite close to Emiko-sama's mother but I doubt he'd tell Sasuke."
I panicked a little. What if he kills her? Would he be capable of that? Could he have turned that cold? Possibly...
Months Later...
We heard news of Sasuke going to Kumogakure, the Country of the Clouds. With another Jinchuriki. Dressed as an Akatsuki, and took Maiko again. She was staying with 'Killer B' apparently. He told us how they met, how she looked. The stories she told. She was in love.
She had been broken hearted by Sasuke. He was apparently very good at that.
Kakashi raged at this. And for a moment I heard him mumble death threats to Sasuke. Death threats I knew he was capable of. For Maiko, I think anyone would do anything.
It was just the way she made you feel welcomed and warm everywhere even when she was being cold to you. Her carelessness. Her calming quietness and her smile. A smile that was not easily done. No. Making Maiko smile was one of the hardest things in earth. But when she smiled truthfully, it was like sunshine had spread its way through her face. Pure magic.
It was hard so far, for everyone, to be without her. The ramen shop went to normal business. Elder perverts didn't have anyone to stare at no more. Kakashi was anxious all the time. Sometimes I'd see him walk around at two or three in the morning. Sakura was remotely the same, she turned a bit sadder when her topic was up but nothing completely different. What shocked us all was Sai's reaction to it. It was one of those rare moments when he met a new emotion.
All he ever draws, paints, sketches, is her. Sometimes he draws her eyes, with those long eyelashes of her fluttering at her every blink. Sometimes he drew her as a memory, like when I'd see them paint together on roof tops. I had a feeling he was the only one who saw her do that perfect smile almost daily. Cause he could capture that moment completely.
But the thing I see him draw the most is when they first met. I remember that day, and he does too...
He draws exactly the same expression she showed to him when she saw him blush to her and he always draws that flower she had placed on her head.
Also Sakura told me he had now started to draw her when Sasuke took her. How her mouth was slightly open and mumbling in her sleep. How her hair flowed down and almost to the floor, her hair reflecting the orange in her dress, along with the sun's reflection.
Could it have possibly be that Sai had fallen in love with her?
Perhaps...
But I just wonder what was going to happen to us... If someone ends up killing her, the Akatsuki...anyone...we die with her.
Don't you think the song fits it perfectly? Well we all know what happened already but it'd be great suspense if I had updated this in the first book but I never really wondered or cared about what was going on with Naruto and Kakashi when I was putting SasuMai into spotlight on my second book. Mayor Oops...Love ya. <3 Sincerely, Alijoice
