I stirred in bed, the odd feeling kind of distracting the dream I was having. The odd feeling of danger. The odd feeling of being watched. I knew Sasuke wasn't the one, I could tell when he was awake or not, his breathing hitches just before waking up... And I could feel his breathing just above my head, blowing my hair a bit.
Who could it be then? Suigetsu? Sai?
I slowly opened my eyes and what I saw was not Sai, and it was not Suigetsu either...No.
Do you wish to know? I'm pretty sure you know this person quite a lot. If you didn't, you wouldn't be reading this.
Itachi. Yeah, that's right. The great Uchiha. My breath hitched but he stopped me before I could move to wake Sasuke up.
"What are you doing here?" I hissed angrily at him.
His eyes shone red, it was unnerving. "Just came to take a look of the situation here."
I frowned. "What situation?"
He sighed at my confusion. "You two together."
"He's not half as bad as I thought he would be." I admitted.
He half smiled and looked over at Sasuke. "He looks funny when he's sleeping."
I laughed lowly. "I know. He looks far more vulnerable....Not that he's any stronger than me but still. It's like he's finally not on his guard when he's asleep."
He turned his head to me again. "And even then he protects you." He said as he pointed at his arms around my waist and on my back.
I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Believe me. I protect him more than he protects me. He'd be dead already if he didn't live here. I'm having some...enemies."
He frowned. "Who?"
I looked at him sternly. "Who else would it be? Danzo, obviously."
His hand tightened into a fist.
"Am I allowed to kill him?" I asked.
He raised his eyebrows. "You?"
"Yes, me. What's wrong with me fighting him? I am Princess Maiko."
"Exactly, a Princess. And not only that, but you're just a...just a..."
"Please tell me you were not going to call me a kid..." I said, the vein popping out of my forehead in annoyance.
He smiled. "How old are you Princess?"
"Seventeen." I told him. He frowned.
"But...you're..."
"Your freaking age, yeah."
He looked away from for a moment. As if he were trying to get himself thinking, contemplating the whole problem. Then he frowned and shook his head. "I want Sasuke to do it."
"Sasuke?" I snorted. "Really? Sasuke killing Danzo without Orochimaru's training? Naruto has more chances and the only jutsu he ever does I Shadow Clone jutsu and Rasengan. And he can barely make out of the second one."
He looked at me sternly. "I thought I told you to train him."
"I thought I told you to train him." I mimicked. I was getting a bad habit of this.
"Have you?"
"Well Kakashi had taken him training the other day and mostly we go to missions, we haven't had time recently but I can plan something out for today."
He nodded. "Go to sleep now then, you'll get tired."
"Yeah, that's a problem cause I could be in a come right now but if I wake up for half a second there would be zero chances of me going back to sleep so I'll be in the kitchen in a bit, just in case you want to join."
