A/N – Here's part 16, hope you enjoy!

PLEASE READ!!

Can you all do me a massive favour and comment on any parts in which you find amusing...if there are any.

This story is a lot more serious than the last and will continue to be so, therefore I would like to still attempt to include small aspects of humour...so knowing what amuses you guys would help me out a great deal!!

Thank You.

{.....Tris's POV.....}

"Uriah, you're with Edward; Drew, meet Molly; Peter, I want you with Lynn...and...Al, you can go with...erm, Tris. Yeah, with Tris. The rest of you pair up yourselves" Eric barks our orders as he stands proudly atop of the sandy, rock-like boulder above us like a lion addressing his trembling pride.

"Erm, why can't I go with Tris" says Christina argumentatively; I roll my eyes and look down in shame. Here we go again...Why must she always do this? Bring us to the centre of attention at every single training session.

Eric looks at her as though she's stupid. "Why do you think?!"

She looks unamused and totally bewildered..."umm, I dunno; maybe because you're being a tight arse".

"Incorrect Candor" growls Eric. "Don't you remember what happened last time you were paired with Tris?"

How can she forget? We both still have the bruises to fucking prove it!

"I've apologised for our little 'misunderstanding'...I always partner Tris!" she continues to fight her cause. I however, remain silent.

"Not today Candor, and if you argue with me one more time I shall take you on another one of our 'cute' little walks up to the chasm" he glares pointedly at her, a smug gleam in his eyes.

"Bu-" Christina begins before Eric rudely interrupts her.

"Anyway, it would be rather insulting to Tris if I were to partner her with you this session...especially considering what I have planned".

"...and what's that?" she asks with intrigue.

"All in good time Candor" replies Eric. "Now hurry up and get in a pair. Look, I see your boyfriend's free; go with him, that will make today rather less awkward for you."

She reluctantly makes her way over to where Will is standing, offering me a sympathetic smile as she does so; most probably thinking that I am rather gutted at not having my partner in crime by my side as we prepare to face whatever Eric has in store for us. No offense to her, but I'm not. There's only so much 'Christina' that someone can put up with in a short space of time; and for this morning, I've just about had my fill.

I look over to Al, my new partner for this session, and smile sweetly; he's such a great guy, and at least I can trust him to look after me properly in whatever we are being made to do today.

It's now Wednesday and four has been gone three days; I miss him terribly, as well as his training sessions. Eric has been working us so hard over the last two days and on pointless things too. Yesterday we spent the day swimming! Yes, swimming. There are no fucking jobs that include water! However, he wanted to see if we could swim and so as usual, Eric got what Eric wanted. It turns out that not many of us could swim at all; there was only me and obviously the dauntless born that could make it a length without almost drowning. Speaking of which...

I wonder what he has planned for us today.

"Right, now that you are all paired off nicely I want you to go and stand beside one of the crash mats that I have so kindly lain out for you" demands Eric as he jumps down expertly from the rocky boulder on to the ground, bits of sand and dust flying everywhere as he lands perfectly on the sole of his polished combat boots.
