Emma's POV

I was listening to Riker telling me how he was nervous about what I would say to going out with him. He was so sweet.

I was starting to get chilly. Riker could tell.

"Baby, why don't you wear my jacket?" He says as he shrugs his leather jacket off of his shoulders. I blushed at the nickname, and took the jacket. "Thanks Riker!" I say as I put the jacket over my shoulders. He smiles "no problem baby girl" I blush once more, looking down.

Minutes passed as we talked, and then Riker looked at his watch. "It's almost time" he muttered. "Time for what?" I ask.

He looks at me and smiles the smile that makes my heart melt. "Look up at the sky" he says as he shifts his head to look at the sky. As I look up at the stars, I see fireworks go off. Many go off at a time. I start to worry if there is to many fireworks up in the sky, until I see what it spells out.

"Emma, will you please do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" I read as tears form in my eyes. I look at Riker who has a hopeful look in his eyes.

"So, Emma, what do you say? Will you wear this 'Riker' necklace?" He says as he pulls out a little box.

"Of course I will!" I say as tears pour out of my eyes. He puts the necklace around my neck and fixes my hair. I look at him and give him a hug.

Best date if my life.
