"Mike? It's Laura" my voice is shaky as I expect him to hang up.
"Laura? Laura, is that really you? Oh my God!! We haven't talked in so long!! How are you?"
I look surprised, but I breathe a sigh of relief. I was not expecting him to be this friendly, especially since he dumped me. "I'm okay. What about you?"
"Well, I don't know if you know, but I'm back in the states. I'm visiting my parents, and I was hoping to get together with you. It's been a couple months since the "incident" happened."
I paused for a minute. I don't know why, but I feel guilty. I mean, I shouldn't right? He's the one who dumped me.
"That's awesome! I didn't know you were back in the states! We should get together for lunch or something. When do you go back?"
"Next week on Friday." Makes sense. Our school starts back up on Monday, so other schools might start close to there as well.
"Cool. How's tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow is perfect. Starbucks?"
I giggle for the first time today. He knows me so well. "It's a date"
"Alright. See ya tomorrow"
"Bye" I say as I hang up. I smile down at my phone and the thought of seeing Mike again. I'm still hurt, but maybe this will get my mind off of it.
I decide I've had enough for today. I quickly run upstairs and get a shower. After I'm finished, I get in some sweats and my Outer Banks sweat shirt and flop down on my bed. I grab my remote and turn on the t.v. just in time to see a 1967 black chevy impala zooming down the road. My favorite show was on. The perfect way to end my night.
After a few episodes of Supernatural, I eventually fall asleep, thinking about Mike and our date tomorrow.

Hey everyone! I am so sorry of haven't updated in so long! I've just been busy with school and a lot of things have been going on this summer. But, now that one have some free time, I should be on her more often. I really hope you understand, and I promise you, I will have another chapter up tomorrow.
