"your late DiNozzo" I stated as Tony ducked under the police tape into the crime scene "sorry boss I was leaving Caitlin with Abby and Ducky, what's the case" Tony asked "dead marine" McGee said taking pictures of the crime scene
"Why isn't Ducky here" Bishop asked as he noticed the absence of our medical examiner "FBI medical examiner got here first" I replied "why FBI" DiNozzo asked but didn't get a reply from me "because the dead marine was helping in an FBI operation" answered Fornell
"Tobias why are you here?" I asked "Trying to get jurisdiction on our turf" Tony asked "unfortunately DiNozzo I'm not just here to make sure the body is sent to NCIS and to make it clear that this is an NCIS-FBI joint investigation" Fornell stated very bluntly to DiNozzo and McGee
"Has anyone got a positive ID on the victim" I asked a little loudly "Petty Officer Holly Martin she was on leave meant to be staying with her mum who lives in Ohio" McGee replied "that's a seven hour car drive" Bishop stated "so what's she doing here" I asked looking at Tobias to see if he knew anything "it's a long story" he said "make it short" I replied.
We arrived back at NCIS where Ziva and Abby were sitting in the squad room with Caitlin "Abby there's evidence for you downstairs" "yes! Gibbs you know how much I love evidence" "well get downstairs before someone else takes it" Abby rushed towards the elevator as McGee, Tony and Bishop got started on researching our victim
"Someone tell me something" I said after coming back from getting another cup of coffee "Petty Officer Holly Martin is 27 and was supposed to be on leave in Ohio until next month" Bishop stated "I looked through her credit card records and phone records there's nothing suspicious" McGee said "so we have a dead petty officer and no suspects" I asked the team and got no reply
"DiNozzo and Bishop go to Ohio talk of the mother" I informed them "but boss that's seven hours away" DiNozzo complained "yer and we've got a dead petty officer who's death we can't explain no GO" I ordered the two of them who rushed off rather quickly to go speak with the mother.
