A few months down the line Marcus starts to get used to living with child services. Him and Joshua grow closer and turn into best friends.
Marcus: [takes out his phone and turns it on]
Josh: you didn't tell me you had a phone.
Marcus: I just never wanted to look at it.
Josh: she got it for you?
Marcus: no he did. He asked me not to tell her though.
Josh: have you ever used it?
Marcus: no I didn't get to.
Josh: I guess you're over it now that's great
Marcus: yeah, yeah.
Josh: you miss him though I'm sure. Sounds like a cool dude; probably had good reasons for leaving.
Marcus: I miss them both.
Josh: I'm sure they do too.
Marcus: okay, this is depressing let's go eat please.
Josh: yeah, yeah.
While Clare that morning was sitting watching the television enjoying her weekend when she saw an advert about a new marvel movie coming out in a few days in cinemas and thought of Marcus.
Without thought she just got up, went in her room, got dressed, without bags, went to the airport and boarded a flight to Austria.
She gets in Austria the next day at four in the morning. She takes a short nap at the airport and wakes up three hours later to buy two tickets for a flight back. Then she rushes out to the state building of child services.
Clare: hello
Woman: hello miss how may I help you.
Clare: I'm here to pick him up
Woman: pick who up?
Clare: my son, Marcus Blakeston.
Woman: may I get your name please.
Clare: I'm Clare, Clare Brown. I no longer use his fathers name.
Woman: it says here you dropped him off saying he had no place to go ma'am.
Clare: may I speak with Jane please; she knows the situation best or could just talk him.
Woman: Jane was transferred elsewhere
Clare: [whispers to herself] oh thank God.
Woman: I came in a few weeks ago.
Clare: okay. [She moves in closer to her] I had to flee from my husband while I was completing a court case. We stayed apart for many years now
Woman: ma'am, please.......
Clare: [read her tag] Josie listen please, just a moment. Yes so we we're apart for most of his life I never heard from him. He later shows up showing interest in all of us which was weird. So I asked around and discovered he joined this community crap and so I turned him in. I brought my son here to keep him safe and explained everything to Jane. She agreed to keep him here but I had to make up a story so he can actually stay and that's the story you're seeing there. She said when I arrive I can just check out or sign in as a person adopting him. Please miss J, can I call you miss J?
Josie: fine. Just sign here.
Clare: I bet he must be angry at me right now.
Josie: no wonder he refused all three foster parents that wanted him. He said he just wanted to stay here. Let me call him for you.
Clare: please don't tell him it's me, he won't come out to see me.
Josie: okay.
Knock on the door.
Josh: yeah come in.
Josie: hi boys
Marcus: hey miss Josie
Josh: heyyyy
Josie: Marcus, there's someone here to see you.
Marcus: I thought I told you, I don't want.......
Josie: it's not a foster family; I think you should come out and see them.
Josh: sounds like a foster......
Josie: trust me its not.
Marcus: [stands and walks with her] does this person not have a name?
Clare: [clears throat] h...........he........hey Marcus.
Marcus: what are you doing here Clare? Just go. [Turns to go back]
Clare: Marcus, wait! Please listen......
Marcus: you abandoned me [voice gets shaky and his eyes tear] just go away. I'm okay where I am.
Clare: Marcus let me explain please. Marcus, Marcus! Marcus!!
Marcus: [he goes]
Clare: oh my [she tears] please can I?
Josie: yeah you can go in.
Clare: thank you [she rushes after him to his room]
Knocks at the door......
